Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the form of social competence of mobilizing teachers. This qualitative research uses a phenomenological approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques in this study are observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Interview. This research has several stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. Test the validity of the data in this study, researchers used observational persistence and triangulation. The results of this study show that the competence of mobilizing teachers in cluster 1 Sukadana, with good social competence in understanding teacher interaction with students, teacher interaction with school principal, teacher interaction with colleagues, teacher interaction with parents and teacher interaction with the community. The mobilizing teacher communicates with students to take creative actions, applies social-emotional materials, the mobilizing teacher establishes good communication with students, the mobilizing teacher applies humanist values to students, the mobilizing teacher always maintains communication with the principal, the mobilizing teacher actively assists the principal for the progress of the school, the mobilizing teacher is always compact with colleagues in every activity,  The mobilizing teacher always helps colleagues, the mobilizing teacher always maintains good communication with the parents of students, the mobilizing teacher involves the parents of students in school activities, the mobilizing teacher keeps in touch with the parents of the students, the mobilizing teacher is involved in activities in the community, mobilizing teachers to become role models for the community, this is carried out in fostering the social spirit of students, especially in cluster 1 Sukadana.

Abstract

This research endeavor seeks to elucidate the influence of pedagogical media utilization on the learning motivation of students. Employing a correlational descriptive analytic methodology, the study was conducted at SMP IT Anugerah Insani, targeting a population of 331 students, while the accessible population comprised 108 individuals. A sample of 85 students was derived, adhering to a 5% margin of error. The sampling technique employed was Slovin’s formula. The findings revealed an rxy coefficient of 0.500, situated within the interval of 0.40to 0.70. In accordance with the product-moment correlation index, this donotes a moderate correlation between variables X and Y.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an electronic book-based learning media to support the teaching of electrical engineering drawing in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Using the Research and Development (R&D) method with the Four-D model (excluding the dissemination stage), the learning media was evaluated by material experts, media experts, and tested with students.The evaluation results show that the learning media achieved an average feasibility score of 91.1% from material experts, 85% from media experts, and 87.1% from students, all categorized as "very good." Based on these findings, the electronic book-based learning media is deemed appropriate to be used as a supplementary tool for the Electrical Engineering Drawing course. This media is expected to enhance students' learning interest through the integration of multimedia elements such as text, images, videos, and animations within a single digital platform.

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to identify the types of questions used by English teachers in the classroom, focusing on convergent and divergent questions. Therefore, the researcher employed a descriptive qualitative research method for this study. The participants in this research were two English teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Lubuk Sikaping, Pasaman. Each teacher was responsible for teaching eighth-grade classes. The research data were collected using a video recorder to record the teaching and learning process in the classroom. The researcher conducted observations by using a video recorder as a tool during the observation process. The results of the data analysis from the observations revealed that English teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Lubuk Sikaping, Pasaman, utilized both convergent and divergent questions during the learning process. However, in practice, teachers more frequently used convergent questions compared to divergent questions to guide and stimulate students' critical thinking.Keywords: Teachers’ Questions, Convergent Questions, Divergent Questions AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat tipe-tipe pertanyaan guru bahasa inggris didalam kelas yang berfokus pada pertanyaan konvergen dan divergen. Oleh karena itu peneliti menggunakan metode descriptive qualitative research untuk penelitian ini. Partisipasi dalam penelitian ini adalah dua orang guru bahasa inggris SMP Negeri 1 lubuk Sikaping, Pasaman. Masing-masing guru mempunyai tugas mengajar dikelas delapan. Data penelitan dikumpulkan menggunakan alat perekam video (video recorder) untuk merekam proses pembelajaran dikelas. Peneliti melakukan observasi dengan menggunakan observation (video recorder) sebagai alat selama observasi. Hasil analisis data observasi menunjukkan bahwa guru Bahasa Inggris di SMP Negeri 1 Lubuk Sikaping, Pasaman, menggunakan pertanyaan konvergen dan divergen selama proses pemnelajaran. Namun, dalam praktiknya, guru lebih sering menggunakan pertanyaan konvergen dibandingkan dengan pertanyaan divergen untuk membimbing dan menstimulasi pemikiran kritis siswa.Kata kunci: Pertanyaan Guru, Pertanyaan konvergen, Pertanyaan divergen

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe, analyze and describe how the Coordination of Duties and Functions of the Sea and Coast Guard Unit at the Technical Implementation Unit of the Class II Bitung Sea and Coast Guard Base so that the main duties and functions provided can be carried out optimally by each respective field in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. The research method uses a qualitative approach. The data collection technique uses interviews, documentation studies and observations. The results showed that: a) The duties and functions of the Class II Bitung Sea and Coast Guard Base in carrying out guarding, supervision, prevention and prosecution of violations of the law as well as securing shipping and community activities have not been carried out optimally, b) Human Resource Factors as Personnel there are still shortcomings in understanding the Duties and Functions of the Class II Bitung Sea and Coast Guard Base, c) Coordination and Communication Factors both internally and externally have not gone well, and d) Facilities and infrastructure factors are less adequate to support the duties and functions in the field

Abstract

The Language Development and Guidance Agency of the Ministry of Education and Culture has mapped and verified 652 regional languages in Indonesia, the many regional languages owned by the Indonesian people are inseparable from the influence of the Indonesian nation as a archipelago spread from Sabang to Marauke. The number of regional languages that we have is also a big challenge how all cultural assets owned today can be maintained. Talking about maintenance is certainly closely related to what patterns and strategies are most effective to use so that the maintenance target can be obtained.  West Nusa Tenggara Province through Regional Regulation No. 16 of 2021 concerning the promotion of culture also pays special attention to regional languages. The design of this development research will use the Borg & Gall model (2003) and to get a feasible design this research will later conduct trials involving linguists, material experts and learning technology experts.

Abstract

Children are part of the younger generation. Acceptance from the family environment is the primary basis for children to grow and develop well. At school, children often communicate through storytelling activities with teachers and friends. Stories make it easier for children to understand knowledge. Stories for children can be a means to increase children's vocabulary and build a network of expertise within children. The storytelling method has many advantages, including spurting children's verbal abilities and linguistic intelligence and encouraging children to enjoy listening to stories and telling or talking (Syafi'i & Gumiandari, 2023). Storytelling is part of receptive language because, in this ability, the meaning of language is obtained and processed through visual and verbal symbols taught. However, many students in grade 2 of elementary school still need to achieve the expected abilities (Setiyaningsih et al., 2023). Knowing the Implementation of Storytelling Method to Improve Receptive Language Development in Grade 2 Children at Cengklik Surakata State Elementary School. This study uses a research design called "One Group Pre-Test Post-Test Design" with a purposive sampling technique, taking 30 children. The collected data will be analyzed univariately and bivariately. This study's results are an increase in the average (mean) of Receptive Language ability before treatment, namely 77.23 to 79.40 after treatment—the statistical test results in this study from the Shapiro-Wilk analysis results. With the p-value <0.05, the distributed data in this study is not standard. So, the Wilcoxon Test is used for further analysis. Based on the Wilcoxon Test, the Asymp. The Sig (-2 tailed) value is 0.000 <0.05, so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test results. Abstract

Role is a dynamic aspect of position (status) if a person performs his rights and obligations according to his position then he has carried out a role. The principal as a policy maker in schools functions optimally and is able to lead schools wisely and with direction and leads to the achievement of maximum goals in order to improve the quality and quality of education in schools. This study aims to study and describe the role of school principals in improving education management in Darussalam Middle School. The research method used in this study is descriptive qualitative research using observation techniques and also interviews with the principal of the research location. The results obtained explained that the principal had made various efforts and had improved to support the management of education in  Darussalam Middle School Efforts made related to the important role in terms of leadership and management of madrasas both for teachers, students, facilities and other school supporters. The conclusion in this study is that the role of the principal is very important in improving education management and the role of the principal must be carried out in the role of educators, managers, administrators, supervisors, leaders, innovators and motivators.

Abstract

This research discusses the effectiveness of local tax collection in Manado City.  This research aims to provide a more comprehensive insight into how hotel and restaurant taxes are managed, collected, and used by local governments to obtain optimal revenue. In this study, the authors used a qualitative approach as the main method of collecting data. This method allows the author to gain first-hand understanding and experience from various stakeholders, such as taxpayers, tax officers, and local governments. Through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis, the author explores the factors that affect the effectiveness of hotel and restaurant tax collection comprehensively. This research is expected to make an important contribution to the understanding of the effectiveness of hotel and restaurant tax collection, as well as provide useful recommendations for local governments in increasing local revenue through more effective tax collection

Abstract

This classroom action research was motivated by the low grades and activeness of students in class during thematic learning, especially in learning mathematics. At the pre-cycle stage it is It should be noted that students have a high yield, which is 59.5 with a 33% satisfaction rate. Therefore, this research was conducted using the Round Robin Brainstorming cooperative learning model in the thematic learning of grade 3 SDK Tunas Daud in the 2022/2023 academic year. Classroom Action Research (PTK) was carried out in two cycles, namely on August 9, 2022 and September 13, 2022. The results of the study showed that in cycle 1 the average score of students' formative test results was 71.8 with a passing percentage of 55%, while in cycle 2. The average score of the students' formative test results is 83.5% with a passing percentage of 80%. Through the APKG 1 and APKG 2 sheets there was also an increase. In cycle 1 the average value of APKG 1 is 4.05 with a percentage of 81% and APKG 2 is 4.27 with a percentage of 85.4%. In cycle 2 the average value of APKG 1 is 4.78 with a percentage of 95.6% and APKG 2 is 4.70 with a percentage of 94%. Thus this shows that the teacher's performance in cycle II has reached the performance indicators set out in the lesson plan. So the cooperative learning model of the Round Robin Brainstorming type succeeded in increasing the learning outcomes of grade 3 students at SDK Tunas Daud
