Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of educational management and teacher performance on students' academic achievements. The research employs a quantitative method with a non-experimental approach, involving students and teachers from MAN Kota Batu as respondents. A total of 100 respondents were selected using the proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires measuring three variables: educational management (X1), teacher performance (X2), and students' academic achievements (Y). The findings of the data analysis revealed the following: 1) Educational management has a positive and significant effect on students' academic achievements at MAN Kota Batu, with a t-value of 37.614 > t-table value of 1.9847, indicating that educational management significantly influences students' academic performance. 2) Teacher performance also shows a positive and significant impact on students' academic achievements at MAN Kota Batu, with a t-value of 16.293 > t-table value of 1.9847, confirming that teacher performance plays a role in enhancing students' academic outcomes. 3)The combined effect of educational management and teacher performance on students' academic achievements is both positive and significant, as evidenced by an F-value of 1658.230 > F-table value of 3. 090.These results suggest that educational management and teacher performance significantly influence students' academic achievements. Therefore, educational institutions can strengthen their management systems by involving all school stakeholders and implementing evaluation systems to monitor teacher performance effectively.

Abstract

Nowadays, leadership is an important indicator in solving problems. However, some students in tertiary institutions are still not motivated to recognize the the importance of leadership in learning. Abstract

The application of big data in the education sector has emerged as a crucial strategy in addressing the challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. This study responds to the limited integration of big data in academic decision-making processes, particularly within primary and secondary education institutions in Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to systematically examine how big data analytics supports more effective academic decision-making, offering both practical contributions for educational management and theoretical implications for the development of data-driven decision-making models. This study employs a literature Review method which includes the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The literature reviewed includes relevant national and international journal articles on big data and education. The findings reveal that big data plays a significant role in optimizing educational resource management, enhancing the efficiency of learning interventions, and supporting strategic planning based on evidence. Moreover, the study emphasizes the importance of technological infrastructure, human resource competencies, and data protection as key enablers for successful big data integration. The study provides essential insights for policymakers to encourage digital transformation and evidence-based practices in schools.

Abstract

Excessive use of gadgets can hurt its users, especially in cognitive development. This study analyses the negative influence of gadget use on the cognitive development of students at MTs Al Muchtari IBS by considering their gadget use patterns during their elementary school years. This study uses a qualitative approach with a field research method.  The results show that students with the highest academic achievement tend not to use gadgets excessively during learning activities at school. They utilize gadgets as tools to understand assignments, review ununderstood materials, and have good self-regulated learning skills. In contrast, students with the lowest academic achievement use gadgets more often at school, including in doing assignments, but have low self-control.  Parents and teachers are very important in supervising gadget use to prevent student gadget addiction. In addition, it is necessary to design activities that do not involve gadgets and strengthen self-regulated learning skills so that students can control gadget use more effectively.

Abstract

This study is a quantitative research employing the ex-post facto method conducted at MTsN Gowa, South Sulawesi. The research aims to analyze the influence of leadership and madrasah principal management on teachers’ work motivation. The study population consists of 53 individuals, including teachers, the school principal, staff, and administrative personnel. This research employs a saturated sampling technique, where the entire population is included as the sample. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to respondents and analyzed using simple and multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS. The findings reveal that leadership and madrasah principal management do not have a significant influence on teachers’ work motivation at MTsN Gowa. These results suggest that other factors beyond leadership and management play a more dominant role in determining teachers’ work motivation. Nevertheless, effective leadership and sound management remain essential in creating a conducive work environment. Therefore, this study recommends that efforts to enhance teachers’ work motivation should consider other relevant factors and encourages further research to identify additional variables that significantly contribute to teachers’ motivation.

Abstract

This study examines the value of religious moderation in the Islamic Education Master Program (MPI) UIN Alauddin Makassar. The main objective is to find out the general picture of the value of religious moderation among the academic community of the MPI study program, to find out the implementation of the concept in education and learning, and the practical implications of the application of the value of religious moderation for the academic community of MPI. Through interviews with several sources, it can be seen, that there is a deep understanding of the essence of religious moderation adopted by lecturers and students, namely being religious without being extreme, tawassuth, and having a tolerant and friendly attitude towards differences. With the integration of teaching methods, significant changes are seen in the interaction between students and lecturers. Even so, there are still obstacles faced in its implementation. As a recommendation, this study suggests the need for regular training for lecturers and students and optimization of social media as a means of promotion and education to strengthen the value of religious moderation among the academic community.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and examine the influence of work-life balance and work motivation on employee job satisfaction at the Postgraduate Program of UIN Alauddin Makassar. This research employs a quantitative approach with an ex-post facto method. The study's respondents consist of 32 employees, determined using a saturated sample technique. Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire distributed to all respondents. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics through multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study indicate that work-life balance has a positive effect on employee job satisfaction, although its influence is smaller compared to work motivation, which has been proven to have a stronger impact. The findings also show that work-life balance and work motivation simultaneously have a positive effect on employee job satisfaction at the Postgraduate Program of UIN Alauddin Makassar, even though job satisfaction itself is a multidimensional phenomenon influenced by many factors. Therefore, organizational strategies to enhance job satisfaction should adopt a holistic approach that considers work-life balance, motivational drives, and other supporting factors.

Abstract

Perubahan sistem pembelajaran yang dilakukan secara blended memberikan dampak pada kepuasan belajar mahasiswa. Pembelajaran blended menyebabkan mahasiswa menghadapi berbagai hambatan selama proses kuliah, sehingga mereka membutuhkan kemampuan resiliensi akademik yang memadai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara resiliensi akademik dan kepuasan belajar pada mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Negeri Makassar. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 319 mahasiswa aktif yang dipilih dengan teknik accidental sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui skala kepuasan belajar dan The Academic Resilience Scale (ARS-30). Analisis data menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif dan uji korelasi Spearman Rho dengan bantuan SPSS 26.0 for Windows. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas mahasiswa memiliki tingkat kepuasan belajar dalam kategori tinggi (57,37%) dan tingkat resiliensi akademik dalam kategori sedang (80,88%). Hasil analisis inferensial menunjukkan terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara resiliensi akademik dengan kepuasan belajar, dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar r=0,247 dan signifikansi p=0,000 (p<0,05). Artinya, semakin tinggi resiliensi akademik yang dimiliki mahasiswa, maka semakin tinggi pula kepuasan belajarnya. Temuan ini memberikan gambaran mengenai pentingnya resiliensi akademik dalam menghadapi tantangan akademik guna meningkatkan kepuasan belajar mahasiswa.

Abstract

This study was conducted to find the form of innovation of the Jogokariyan Mosque management in Islamic studies in the digitalization era, the supporting factors for implementing innovation, and its impact or implications for society. This type of research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative method. To obtain data for this study, the researcher came directly to the location, namely the Jogokariyan Mosque in Yogyakarta. To get an overview of the object, the researcher interviewed several components in the mosque, observation, and documentation. The results of this study show 1) Jogokariyan Mosque Integrates Technology in Islamic Preaching & Study Activities: In the form of Using Social Media Including; Instagram, Facebook, Jogokariyan Mosque YouTube channel, WhatsApp, Tiktok. 2) Good mosque management, the totality of the administrators to prosper the Jogokariyan Mosque, Facilities and infrastructure that make the congregation comfortable, The prosperity of the mosque which also has an impact on Islamic study activities at the Jogokariyan mosque, Support from various parties who help each other. 3) Facilitate the congregation to follow Islamic studies from any location and increase the number of congregation participation, Increase the involvement of the younger generation who are more familiar with digital technology, Studies conducted online contain interesting themes that are happening in society so that the community can find the best solution, Provide facilities and understanding to the community to be able to follow various studies that exist including; Subuh Study, Ummida Study, Tuesday Night Study, Wednesday Night Study, Ahad Legi Study, Aisyiyah Study.

Abstract

Education in Islamic boarding schools has an important role in building the character and knowledge of students. However, amidst the challenges of globalization and technological developments, Islamic boarding schools need to implement effective strategic management to improve the quality of education. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a library research method. Data were obtained from various literature sources such as books, scientific journals, articles and documents relevant to the topic of strategic management in Islamic boarding schools. Data collection techniques were carried out through documentation and content analysis of the sources that had been collected. This study is very important because it touches on the core of improving the quality of religious-based educational institutions that have a vital role in shaping the character, morals, and knowledge of the people. The results of the study show that the application of strategic management of educational institutions has a significant impact on improving the quality of Islamic boarding schools with the implementation of SWOT Analysis in Islamic Boarding School Education.
