In curriculum 2013, ICT subjects be erased, it’s means not stand alone but rather merged or combined with other subjects. In elementary school curriculum needs  subjects that are combined with computer lessons (Guha &Leonard, 2002). Abstract

Algebraic thinking is one of the abilities needed in the industrial era 4.0. The efforts to instill algebraic thinking need to be done since elementary school students. Before students learn about algebra, they must have a lot of experience in making representations, abstractions, and generalizations. The ability to represent data using tables and diagrams is one indicator of algebraic thinking. This research was conducted discovery of learning obstacles thinking algebra by representing data using tables and diagrams in elementary school. Learning obstacles include ontogenically obstacles, epistemological obstacles, and didactical obstacles. Therefore, it is necessary to develop didactic designs to overcome these learning obstacles. The research method used was Didactical Design Research (DDR). This research was conducted by analyzing learning obstacles that were found to be used as the development of learning trajectories. The analysis process produces alternative didactic situations that can overcome obstacles in thinking algebra. Given that algebraic thinking in the curriculum in elementary schools is still implied, it is necessary to develop a comprehensive lesson design to facilitate students in developing algebraic thinking. The ability to think algebra is the high order thinking skills, they need to face various challenges today.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the issuance of government policies relating to the progress of the world of education. The purpose of this study is to examine the implementation of the policy on consumptive behavior among elementary school students. The research method used is a case study. Subjects in the study were 100 students who were divided into 3 (three) classes at the high class level at SDN Ciseureuh Kahuripan Pajajaran Purwakarta district, as well as providing relevant counseling to teachers, parents, community leaders and related stakeholders. The instrument used to measure the level of implementation in this regulatory policy is the observation and interview sheets while for the assessment of consumptive behavior is a matter of multiple choice, observation sheets and questionnaires given. The treatment given to stakeholders is counseling that optimizes the implementation of regulations to bring provisions to schools in the form of rules and policy levels using a persuasive approach. The results showed that the implementation of regulations bringing provision to schools initiated by Purwakarta district government significantly decreased the consumptive nature compared to students who did not receive treatment from the government regulations. Thus it can be concluded that the implementation of the regulation of bringing provisions to schools initiated by the Purwakarta district government can suppress the consumptive nature of elementary school students.

Abstract

This research is motivated by one of the government programs namely Strengthening Character Education (PPK), especially in elementary schools to produce a golden generation in 2045. The characters studied include 5 main characters namely religious, nationalist, integrity, independent, and mutual cooperation. This research will be conducted at the SD Laboratorium UPI Tasikmalaya. In addition to instilling character education in daily activities, in this school, there is also a love for local wisdom. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative method. Based on the results of the study, inculcation of character education based on local wisdom in the SD Laboratorium UPI Tasikmalaya was implemented through habituation and through classroom learning. The habituation is done not only in the classroom or in the school environment, but habituation also involves students' parents at home. In the learning process, the inculcation of character education based on local wisdom is applied by the teacher through learning materials, learning media, and also the evaluation of learning used. Planting character education is not enough to only be instilled in schools but there must be cooperation with parents of students at home.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the increase in concept mastery of primary school students' teaching material through the use of media kits of science for kids. The research method used was quasi-experimental research using the matching only pretest and posttest control group design. The learning process uses the media kit of science for kids and the traditional learning media is used as a comparison. Learning takes place during four meetings, each learning process is carried out observing the implementation of learning activities. Research subjects were 55 students consisting of 28 students using the media kit of science for kids and 27 students with traditional learning media. The research instrument uses multiple choice tests for concept mastery. The data analysis technique used n-gain mean data and non-parametric test t test. The value of n-gain in class with kit of science for kids media is 0.47 while in class with traditional learning media is 0.26. The results showed that increased understanding of the material using the kit of science for kids was higher than students who received traditional learning media.

Abstract

This study departs from the discovery of the phenomenon of the burnout of learning experience of students, especially those who are already in the fourth or fifth semester of lecture activities. Symptoms of burnout experienced by students are in four areas, namely physical, emotional, intellectual, and low motivation. This study aims to find the profile of students' learning burnout, the underlying factors and their implications for guidance services. The method in this study uses a quantitative approach with descriptive analytic. The sample in this study was 53 randomly assigned ESTES. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire to capture data about the learning burnout profile and also the underlying factors. The results showed that 60.38% of students experienced high levels of learning burnout and the rest were low. Based on the analysis, the factors that cause students' learning burnout as a result of the study show that the factors that are at a high rate are not able to accept if the grades are not in line with expectations and  not confident to consult with lecturers about learning activities. The recommendations of this study are aimed at Academic Advisors, UPT LBK, Study Programs, and further researchers.
