Abstract

The results of research that have been carried out, especially in the field of medical physics such as X-rays, have been widely utilized in the medical field, especially Radiology Units in Several General and Regional Hospitals. Thus, it is very important to be understood and known by the community, especially the community, in this case the students of SMA Negeri 2 Kuta. In 2022/2023, there are 507 male and 597 female students. Seeing these conditions, surveys and observations were carried out as a result, students had difficulty understanding physics because the physics subject matter was dense, memorized and mathematical. Seeing these results, it is necessary to carry out a new paradigm in physics learning. One of the more appropriate methods is to balance theory learning with field applications such as natural and artificial radiation measurements and applications in the field of medical physics. The results of natural radiation measurements in the classroom and outside the classroom were 0.605 ± 0.0024 and 0.182 ± 0.0008 mSv/year, respectively. The limit of the dosage rate allowed by BAPETEN is 1,000 mSv/year. Natural radiation identified in the classroom and outside the classroom is still declared safe

Abstract

T This research aims to develop and convey the feasibility and user response to E-LKPD assisted by the Augmented Reality (AR) application with a STEAM approach to train creative thinking skills (creative thinking) of class XII students. The research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the development of the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. The research subjects consisted of material validation by 3 expert validators, media validation by 3 expert validators, teacher responses by 2 educators, and student responses by 68 class XII students at SMA 2 Perintis Bandar Lampung and SMAN 01 Tanjung Raya Mesuji Lampung. Validation results by material and media experts show a very high level of feasibility, with percentages of 89% and 86% respectively. The response from educators and students was also very positive regarding the attractiveness and feasibility of the E-LKPD being developed, with trial results reaching 91% for educators, 88% for small group trials, and 86% for field trials. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the development of AR-assisted E-LKPD with a STEAM approach is declared feasible and interesting as physics teaching material in class XII.

Abstract

Misconceptions in physics learning, especially regarding static fluids, are one of the main challenges in learning which can hinder students' understanding of basic concepts and the development of high-level thinking skills. This research aims to identify and analyze misconceptions that occur among students regarding static fluid material. This research is a meta-analysis study. This research examines the results of previous research that discusses misconceptions on the topic of static fluids with a focus on the types of misconceptions that often arise and the factors that influence them. The data analyzed were obtained from a number of studies involving various methods, such as diagnostic tests, interviews, and experimental research. The meta-analysis results show that the most common misconceptions occur in the understanding of hydrostatic pressure, Archimedes' principle, and Pascal's law, where students often associate these concepts with inaccurate everyday intuitions. Apart from that, factors such as less contextual teaching, limited learning experience, and difficulties in visualizing abstract concepts are the main causes of misconceptions. This research suggests the importance of a more explicit and concept-based teaching approach, as well as the use of visual aids or simulations to help students build a more precise understanding of static fluids.

Abstract

Abstract

Science education is a key factor in developing students' science process skills and understanding of scientific concepts. Mastery of science process skills is one of the important ways to gain knowledge. By implementing Student Worksheets based on guided inquiry, science process skills and understanding of scientific concepts can be improved. This study examines the effect of guided inquiry-based worksheets on science process skills. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest model to examine the effectiveness of guided inquiry-based worksheets in improving students' science process skills on vibration and wave material. The research participants consisted of students enrolled in vibration and wave courses in the third semester of the Physics Education Study Program, Universitas PGRI Pontianak, who were selected using saturated sampling techniques. The instruments used in this study were science process skills tests in the form of pretests and posttests and science process skills observation sheets during learning which included observing, classifying, measuring, interpreting data, making hypotheses, designing experiments, conducting experiments, communicating, results, concluding, identifying variables, and using tools and materials. The data obtained were analyzed using paired t-test and N-Gain analysis. Based on the data obtained, both from pretest, posttest, and observation, it can be concluded that the use of guided inquiry-based worksheets is effective in improving students' science process skills in vibration and wave material. This increase is clearly seen in the pretest and posttest scores, as well as in the observation of skills that show positive developments in all indicators of science process skills.

Abstract

The type of multiple intelligence possessed by students can be a consideration for lecturers in determining the right lecture method so that it can create effective learning. The effectiveness of learning has an impact on the quality of superior and competitive student competencies. This study aims to analyze the distribution of multiple intelligences of students and relate them to relevant learning methods in the Physics Curriculum Review course in the Physics Education Study Program, University of Mataram. The subjects of the study were 22 class 5C students who took the multiple intelligence test. This study uses a descriptive approach with quantitative data analysis. The study was conducted in August 2024. The instrument used to view the profile of students' multiple intelligence types can be accessed through the online platform "Aku Pintar". The results showed that intrapersonal intelligence had the highest average of 83%, followed by logical-mathematical intelligence (78%), visual-spatial (75%), and verbal-linguistic (73%). Naturalistic and Interpersonal intelligence were 71%, while Kinesthetic intelligence was 70%. Musical intelligence had the lowest average, which was 63%. Based on these findings, the recommended learning methods include Project-Based Learning, Small Group Discussion, Contextual Instruction, and Role-Play to accommodate various types of student intelligence. These methods are integrated with topics such as the history of curriculum development, review of learning models, review of the Independent Curriculum teaching module, and the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project. The conclusion of the study emphasizes the importance of implementing adaptive and varied learning methods in supporting the potential of students' multiple intelligences, in order to prepare them as competent, creative, and innovative prospective teachers. In other words, the application of lecture methods used by lecturers according to the type of multiple intelligences of students will support the formation of a superior and globally competitive generation. It is recommended for lecturers to optimize project-based and collaborative approaches, and for students to actively explore their intelligence potential. This study also provides recommendations to study programs to align the curriculum with student needs and educational developments.
