Abstract

This study investigates the role of behavioral biases in shaping investment decisions among young investors in Indonesia, with a focus on the mediating effects of fear of missing out (FOMO) and risk perception, as well as the moderating role of religiosity. Drawing upon behavioral finance and prospect theory, we collected data from 384 respondents and analyzed the structural relationships using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The research employed a quantitative, explanatory approach using survey methods. Data were collected from 384 respondents selected through proportional random sampling from a population of 12.8 million young investors in Indonesia with Single Investor Identification (SID), using a questionnaire with a 1–7 interval scale. The results show that behavioral biases significantly affect investment decisions, both directly and indirectly through FOMO and risk perception. Religiosity also moderates these relationships, guiding investors toward more ethical and rational choices. The study enriches behavioral finance by combining cognitive, emotional, and cultural perspectives and offers practical insights for improving financial literacy and reducing biased investment behavior.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the andragogy approach in the alumni service program of Islamic boarding schools as an effort to prepare quality human resources. The focus of the study is directed at the construction of program inputs, processes, and outputs with an emphasis on the principles of adult learning. This study is a qualitative, multisite study designed to gain an in-depth understanding of the application of the andragogical approach in the context of Islamic boarding school education in various locations. The research was conducted at several Islamic boarding schools in the South Sumatra region, including Ogan Ilir Regency, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, and Palembang City, which have a strong tradition of organizing alumni service programs. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. Data sources consisted of alumni who participated in the community service program, pesantren leaders, supervising ustadz, and the surrounding community who interacted directly with program participants. Data analysis was conducted using Miles and Huberman's interactive model, through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, which were verified through triangulation. The results of the study show that the input aspect is reflected in the readiness, motivation, and learning experiences of alumni, which are the main assets in adult learning. The process aspect shows the application of andragogical principles such as independent learning, problem-solving orientation, and active involvement in teaching and organizational tasks. Meanwhile, the output aspect shows the development of alumni competencies as prospective educators and community leaders, marked by increased pedagogical skills, leadership capacity, and social responsibility. This study concludes that alumni service programs designed with an andragogical perspective can improve the quality of Islamic boarding school graduates and contribute significantly to strengthening Islamic education. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening Islamic boarding school programs through contextual andragogical strategies so that the potential of alumni can be optimized in facing contemporary educational and social challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze teacher strategies in instilling the values of tolerance and diversity at Sekolah Dasar Islam Multi Plus Ar-Rahiim, Kajangan, East Ungaran. In the context of Islamic elementary education, fostering tolerance and respect for differences serves as a fundamental foundation for developing students’ noble character, openness, and appreciation for social and cultural diversity within Indonesia’s multicultural society. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the principal, five teachers, and five students, as well as through classroom observations and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, supported by triangulation techniques to ensure data validity. The findings reveal that teachers implement several strategies to instill tolerance and diversity, including the integration of multicultural values into classroom learning, habituation through extracurricular and religious activities, and modeling exemplary behavior in daily interactions. Furthermore, the supportive school environment and active parental involvement play a crucial role in strengthening the internalization of tolerance among students. The study concludes that value-based multicultural education in Islamic elementary schools can serve as an effective medium for cultivating tolerant attitudes and a love for diversity from an early age. These findings are expected to serve as a model for developing character education grounded in multicultural values in other Islamic elementary schools.

Abstract

This study employs a mixed-methods approach with an exploratory sequential design, aiming to analyze the effectiveness of innovative training programs for civil servants in Makassar City. The research was conducted in three government agencies: the Makassar City Civil Service and Human Resource Development Agency (BKPSDM), the Education Office, and the Health Office. The population consisted of all civil servants participating in the training programs in 2023 (n = 250). A purposive sampling technique was used, resulting in 50 respondents for the quantitative survey and 12 key informants for in-depth interviews. The data included pre- and post-training competency scores, participant satisfaction questionnaires, semi-structured interviews, and training program documents. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and document review. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics (mean, percentage, and competency score changes), while qualitative data were analyzed through thematic analysis, involving coding, theme categorization, and interpretation. Data triangulation was applied to ensure the validity and reliability of the findings. This methodology provides a comprehensive understanding of the implementation and impact of innovative training programs on the competencies and performance of civil servants in Makassar City.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a resilient management model by integrating sustainability practices and spiritual leadership in the context of Islamic boarding schools. Using a qualitative approach with a multi-site study design, this research was conducted at the Nurul Jadid Paiton Islamic Boarding School in East Java, which represents different institutional characteristics, namely traditional, semi-modern, and modern boarding schools. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with clerics, teachers, administrative staff, and senior students, supplemented by participatory observation of educational and managerial activities, as well as the pesantren's institutional and curricular aspects. Data analysis used the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which includes three main stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification. To maintain the validity of the research results, layered source triangulation was applied to make the findings more valid and reliable. The findings identify three essential components that reinforce institutional resilience: (1) spiritual leadership based on Islamic principles such as sincerity (ikhlas), consistency (istiqamah), and trustworthiness (amanah); (2) sustainability-oriented practices including economic self-reliance, curriculum innovation, and digital adaptation; and (3) the integration of spiritual and sustainability dimensions into a holistic model of resilient management. The proposed model, termed Resilient Islamic Educational Management, contributes both theoretically and practically. Theoretically, it enriches Islamic education management discourse by bridging contemporary management theory with Islamic spiritual traditions. Practically, it equips Islamic boarding schools' leaders with an adaptive framework to strengthen governance, autonomy, and global competitiveness. Ultimately, this study emphasizes that the sustainability of Islamic boarding schools is deeply rooted not only in organizational and economic strategies but also in value-driven spiritual leadership.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of school policy on bullying in elementary schools in Tembalang District, Semarang City. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method through an ex post facto correlational design. The research population consisted of 176 elementary school teachers in the Baskara Sumirat Cluster, with a sample of 122 teachers determined using a proportional random sampling technique based on the Slovin formula. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire covering the dimensions of policy formulation, policy content, policy socialization, and policy implementation, and were then analyzed using simple linear regression. The ANOVA test results showed an F value of 409.731 with a significance level of 0.000 (p<0.05), indicating that school policy has a significant effect on bullying. The regression equation Ŷ = 202.518 − 1.055X₁ shows a negative and significant effect, with an R-Square value of 0.773, meaning that 77.3% of the variation in bullying can be explained by school policy. These findings imply that school policies that are clearer, more consistent, and well socialized can significantly reduce the occurrence of bullying in elementary schools.
