Abstract

Data from the Yogyakarta Regional Police indicate that Gunungkidul Regency has the highest suicide rate in Yogyakarta. In Gunungkidul, nearly 20 cases happen every year. The cases of suicide in Gunungkidul are usually linked with the myth of "pulung gantung." As a matter of fact, existing studies reveal that the prevalent cause of suicide in Gunungkidul is depression. Considering the condition above, the PKM-PM UAD team came up with the "My Precious Life" program, consisting of a series of activities: Training of Trainers, Mbalang Lintang Game, and Psychological Campaign. The implementation methodology will consist of a series of trainings involving active participation from the local community. The "My Precious Life" program gained support from village governments, village, and hamlet PKK cadres, and health institutions for its execution to ensure maximum involvement and a significant impact on the results. Results of this program indicate that there is a significant increase in knowledge and skills for the early detection community and a decrease in elderly individuals with depressive tendencies after playing mbalang lintang. Moreover, this has created closer ties between residents and the rest of the supporting institutions involved, which in turn have given rise to many new initiatives that will help continue this program well into the future. The conclusion from this activity was that for achieving the community service goals, collaboration and active participation from all parties involved were very important. This is a very useful program to the community, which can act as a role model that may help similar activities elsewhere

Abstract

Along with massive technological developments, the need for work support automatically becomes unavoidable. Artificial intelligence (AI) is here to answer this need, including in the world of education. In schools, teachers are faced with the problem of improving the quality of adaptive and inclusive learning. Of course, this quality improvement must be supported by learning devices and media that are interesting and appropriate to students' needs. However, making conventional learning tools will be very energy and time consuming, not to mention the limited resources available. Referring to this condition, this PKM activity was carried out with the aim of making learning tools more efficient through the use of AI. This is of course in line with the spirit of the vision of an independent curriculum, namely realizing education that is relevant and supported by technology. The target audience for this activity is high school geography teachers throughout Ternate City who are members of the Geography MGMP. This activity is held at SMAN 5 Ternate City. The use of a variety of AI-based Google service products will be introduced in this activity through a tutorial/practice method directly with the teacher. The stages in this PKM activity include preparation, implementation, evaluation, data analysis and reporting. The focus in this service activity is innovation and technology transfer to teachers in developing learning tools according to the demands of 21st century learning.

Abstract

Teachers' low level of knowledge and skills in designing and developing digital learning media in the form of video teaching materials hinders the efficiency of learning in the classroom. This service aims to provide training so that teachers at MI Islamiyah and SMPI Al-Hidayah, Malang City, have the knowledge and skills to independently develop digital teaching materials in the form of learning videos to increase the effectiveness, efficiency, and attractiveness of their learning. The method used in this service activity is the on-the-job training (OJT) method. This method allows teachers to receive training directly in the classroom, not in a simulated environment. The effectiveness of the training was obtained through survey techniques using participants' assessment instruments regarding the training process that had been carried out. The conclusion obtained after conducting the survey was that the average score received from the weight of the five items was 85%. The percentage of 85% shows that most teachers felt that the training activities were beneficial, so they participated enthusiastically in this training.

Abstract

Early childhood education educators have a role in shaping children's character from an early age. Early childhood is in a golden age where the role of parents, teachers, and the surrounding environment is needed to support the growth and development of children. In reality, in the process of educating children at school, children are not ready to be separated from their parents, children become tantrums and are not cooperative in learning, even differences in how to educate children between parents and educators cause their own problems. Differences of opinion between educators, as well as the increasing administrative burden of educators, cause educators to experience various difficulties that affect their duties, roles, and responsibilities as educators. This community service activity aims to provide adversity quotient training to early childhood education educators with the hope that the results of the training can help educators be more resilient in dealing with various problems faced. The training method is carried out by giving lectures, ice breaking, and providing pretests and posttests to training participants. The results of the analysis of adversity quotient training activities through the Wilcoxon T-test showed that 50 data (N = 50) showed that the post-test value was greater than the pre-test value, with a mean rank of 25.50 and a sum of ranks of 1275.00 with a Z value of -6.187 (p 0.000). Based on these results, it can be concluded that the training that was carried out effectively contributed to increasing participant understanding, considering that the post-test score was higher than the pre-test. Through this activity, participants have a better understanding that every problem has a solution and therefore the ability to survive in difficult situations and remain enthusiastic about finding solutions through various means is needed, even making difficulties an opportunity to overcome problems as well as possible.

Abstract

The Integrated Islamic Elementary School (Sekolah Dasar Islam Terpadu, abbreviated as SDIT) Wisata Hasanah is one of the elementary schools in Pontianak City that implements the independent Murikulum Merdeka. In this curriculum, there is the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (Proyek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila, abbreviated as P5), where students actively address relevant issues in their surroundings. In a previous P5 activity, training on waste sorting based on its types—organic and inorganic—was conducted. A field lecture was held at the Final Disposal Site (TPA) of Batu Layang, Pontianak in this community service activity to raise awareness and concern for the environment, develop responsibility, independence, and critical thinking skills. Waste management education needs to be carried out from an early age to produce human resources with expertise in science and technology, in line with achieving Indonesia’s Golden Vision 2045. The students currently in elementary school will be the next generation to continue the nation's development. Activities at the TPA included delivering material, discussions, observations, and student feedback in the form of resumes and responses containing experiences, suggestions, input, and hopes. At the TPA site, students directly observed the facilities, infrastructure, and operational techniques of waste processing. The results of this activity included an increase in students' knowledge about waste management, an understanding of the impact of indiscriminate waste disposal and burning, and a commitment to environmental preservation. Community service is a form of collaboration and knowledge transfer between higher education institutions, elementary schools, and the government (Environmental Agency). Through this activity, it is hoped that students will develop environmental awareness and concern not only at school but also in their surrounding environment.

Abstract

The concept of Desa Aman, Sehat, dan Rindang (Desa ASRI), or Safe, Healthy, and Green Village, is an initiative aimed at creating a prosperous and sustainable village environment by prioritizing health, security, and environmental conservation. This program, initiated by the TIM PPK ORMAWA HIMAKESMAS FKM UTU in Purwodadi Village, includes various activities designed to enhance the quality of life for the community. One of the key components is the Waste Bank, which not only serves as a waste management facility but also supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by encouraging residents to sort and recycle organic and inorganic waste. Additionally, the production of eco-enzymes, derived from the fermentation of organic materials, provides an environmentally friendly cleaning solution that helps reduce pollution. The vertiminaponic program, which combines fish farming with vegetable cultivation in household gardens, plays a crucial role in supporting local food security and economic resilience. These initiatives are further reinforced by the village qanun, a local regulation that ensures each program is implemented effectively and sustainably. Through collaboration and active community participation, Desa ASRI aims to create a safe, healthy, and green environment that benefits local residents while also attracting tourists and promoting broader environmental awareness.

Abstract

Aisyah (52 years old) works as a non-permanent domestic worker (PRT) earning a wage of IDR 500,000 per month. To meet the economic needs of her family with a husband who has been ill for years and is senile, two children, three grandchildren under the age of 10, and one unemployed son-in-law, Aisyah also has to work as an itinerant domestic worker in many of her neighbours' homes. However, with an average income of no more than IDR 1,000,000 per month, it is still not enough to fulfil her family's needs. Aisyah is the most underprivileged family, as a woman who is the backbone of the family found in the Legoso neighbourhood, East Ciputat, South Tangerang based on the results of observations and village maps with the community with 30 indicators of ‘Theology of Al-Maun with Women's Perspective/Feminism (TABP/F)’ which has been developed since 2017 on the campus of the Ahmad Dahlan Institute of Technology and Business Jakarta (ITB-AD). This community service was carried out using the TABP/F methodology, raising funds by selling, which was carried out by group five, semester five, accounting study programme ITB-AD Jakarta for one semester. As a result, the funds collected were used to open selling a seblak and fried food stall as Aisyiyah's effort to increase economic income located in front of her house. Aisyiyah also received training in business management such as calculating capital, production or selling costs, prices, and income. After the business was open for one month and accompanied by the sales process, there was a significant increase in Aisyiyah's monthly income reaching IDR 800,000. Aisyah was also taught how to calculate zakat if her business had progressed. The challenges: the sustainability of Aisyah's business without assistance, as well as the high habit of borrowing from neighbours when buying snacks.

Abstract

In 2023, UNNES won the Most Sustainable University award at the UI Greenmetric World University ranking event. This is the 5th national ranking out of a total of 145 universities and the 37th world ranking out of a total of 1,183 universities in the world. This achievement is proof of UNNES' consistency as a conservation-oriented university. In line with this commitment, each lecturer in the study program develops various research related to work based on sustainability. One of the things that is being created is using natural dyes in textile products. Natural dyes from Mahogany bark (Swietenia mahagoni) have the potential to be a source of natural dyes. Data from the UNNES Conservation Development Agency notes that there are 12,320 Mahogany trees around the UNNES campus. This means that the availability of Mahogany trees is very large if used as a natural dye. With this potential, a problem identification was carried out, then it was found that many housewives needed skills to support family income. This was found in the Kalisegoro Village community group. Thus, training and education will be carried out by providing skills in the form of ecoprint training for the PKK mothers' group in Kalisegoro Village. It is hoped that women can become the pillars of poverty alleviation, especially for their families. The output targets in this program are national journal publications, information to print or online media, and video profiles of activity implementation.

Abstract

Located in Kembang Subdistrict, Jepara Regency, Dudakawu Village possesses significant economic potential. However, its development is hindered by challenges such as inadequate entrepreneurial skills, ineffective marketing strategies, and limited access to digital technology. To overcome these issues, the PPK Ormawa Team of the Student Executive Board from the Faculty of Science and Technology at Unisnu Jepara initiated the "Entrepreneurial Village" program as a community service project. The program aims to improve entrepreneurial skills, enhance the competitiveness of local products, and broaden market access through digital transformation. This initiative utilized several strategies, including entrepreneurship workshops, the establishment of UMKM (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) groups, product branding training, digital marketing education, and the development of innovative products. Activities were carried out through a collaborative approach involving academics, students, local authorities, and the community. Periodic evaluations were conducted using pre- and post-activity questionnaires, interviews, and direct observations to measure the program’s effectiveness in enhancing community skills and business activities. The findings reveal that more than 70% of participants improved their knowledge of entrepreneurship and digital marketing. The UMKM community established during the program served as a collaborative platform for local entrepreneurs, while products such as banana stem chips and the village’s specialty coffee gained added value and greater competitiveness in regional markets through branding and digital marketing efforts. This program has contributed significantly to sustainable, community-driven economic empowerment and offers a replicable model for other villages.
