Abstract

Poverty remains a major challenge in Papua Province, despite receiving Special Autonomy Funds for more than two decades. According to data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS) in 2024, Papua recorded the highest poverty rate in Indonesia at 26.03% and the lowest Human Development Index (HDI) score of 63.01. This fact indicates that the substantial budget allocation has not been fully effective in reducing poverty and improving community welfare. This study aims to analyze the influence of the Education Index, Health Index, and Expenditure Index on the Poverty Rate in Papua Province, both partially and simultaneously. The research adopts a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis. Secondary data were obtained from BPS, covering 29 districts and cities in Papua from 2012 to 2023. The variables analyzed include the Education Index, Health Index, Expenditure Index, and Poverty Rate. The results show that all three variables significantly influence the poverty rate. Partially, the Education Index and Expenditure Index have a negative effect, meaning that higher levels of education and purchasing power are associated with lower poverty rates. Meanwhile, the Health Index shows a positive relationship, indicating that improvements in health outcomes have not been fully effective in reducing poverty possibly due to disparities in access and other socioeconomic conditions. Simultaneously, the three variables explain 67.3% of the variance in poverty levels in Papua. Policy recommendations include strengthening skills-based education, enhancing equitable and inclusive healthcare systems, and boosting purchasing power through local economic development and price stabilization. A locally tailored approach is necessary to ensure that poverty reduction efforts in Papua are more effective and sustainable.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the effect of training and work facilities on improving performance mediated by work motivation at the Bandung Regency Fire and Rescue Service. This research is motivated by the low achievement of officer response time in meeting minimum service standards. The research method used is a quantitative approach with path analysis techniques. The population in this study amounted to 108 people, and all were sampled through the census technique. The results showed that training has a positive and significant effect on performance and work motivation. Work facilities have a significant effect on work motivation, but do not show a direct effect on improving performance. Work motivation proved to be a significant mediating variable in bridging the effect of training and work facilities on performance. These findings suggest that improving organisational performance depends not only on technical aspects, but also on psychological factors such as work motivation. Therefore, an integrated human resource development strategy is needed, including relevant training, provision of adequate work facilities, and systematic efforts to increase employee motivation.

Abstract

The goal of this finding is to look at how work motivation and transformational leadership affect organisational citizenship behaviour and how this affects the performance of PPPK teachers at Riau Islands Provincial High School.  A quantitative method was applied by giving out questionnaires to 217 people.  SmartPLS 4 and PLS-SEM were used to analyse the data.  The findings demonstrated that work motivation had a big and good influence on both organisational citizenship behaviour and teacher performance, either directly or via OCB mediation.  Transformational leadership, on the other hand, does not have a big effect on OCB or teacher performance. The conclusions of this study confirm the importance of work motivation as a major factor in improving teacher performance, while transformational leadership styles have not been effective in encouraging extra-role behaviors. These findings provide practical implications in the management of educational human resources to strengthen the role of PPPK teachers in increasing school effectiveness.

Abstract

His study aims to analyze the influence of subject teacher forums (MGMP), teacher resilience, and academic supervision on the quality of learning in public junior high schools in Gresik Regency. The research employed a quantitative approach with a survey method, involving 30 arts and culture teachers as respondents. Data were collected using validated and reliable questionnaires and analyzed through multiple regression analysis. The findings reveal that MGMP, teacher resilience, and academic supervision each have a positive and significant effect on the quality of learning. MGMP contributes by enhancing pedagogical competence and encouraging collaborative practices among teachers. Teacher resilience supports the ability to adapt and remain committed under various educational challenges. Academic supervision functions as a professional development tool, providing reflective feedback to improve teaching practices. Simultaneously, these three factors influence learning quality by 92.2%, emphasizing the importance of an integrated approach in improving educational outcomes. The study concludes that strengthening teacher professionalism, emotional endurance, and supervisory systems is crucial in achieving sustainable improvements in the quality of education at the junior secondary level.

Abstract

Education is a fundamental element in the development of adaptive and competitive human resources, especially in the midst of globalization and rapid technological advances. To realize equal access and quality of education, the Indonesian government has implemented a zoning system policy, which aims to reduce the gap between schools. However, the implementation of this policy has raised new challenges, such as inequality in student academic input and a decline in quality in leading schools. On the other hand, student learning achievement is also influenced by internal psychological factors, including resilience in dealing with pressure and self-efficacy, namely students' belief in their academic abilities. This study aims to analyze the effect of the zoning system, student resilience, and self-efficacy on the learning achievement of junior high school students in Gresik Regency. This study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory survey method. The population in this study were all grade VIII students at Junior High Schools in Gresik Regency, with a sample size of 250 students selected through proportional random sampling techniques. The research instrument was a Likert Scale questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques to determine the partial and simultaneous effects between variables. The results of this study are expected to provide empirical contributions to zoning policies based on student characteristics, as well as support the development of psychopedagogical interventions to improve learning achievement evenly and fairly.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the influence of Green Hotel Policies and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on consumers' intention to stay at the hotel, considering the mediating role of Trust. The research method employed a questionnaire distributed to 100 respondents who frequently stay at hotels, with data analysis conducted through validity tests, reliability tests, and hypothesis testing. The results indicate that Green Hotel Policies and CSR have a positive and significant influence on the intention to stay, both directly and through Trust. CSR has a more dominant influence (coefficient 0.516) compared to Green Hotel Policies (coefficient 0.318). Additionally, Trust is proven to be an effective intervening variable in strengthening the relationship between Green Hotel Policies and CSR with the intention to stay. These findings support the importance of implementing environmentally friendly policies and sincere, consumer-relevant CSR programs to enhance trust and the intention to stay. This study also highlights differences in consumer perceptions of sustainability practices, where education and clear communication are key to reducing skepticism

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of Single Truck Identification Data (STID) and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) on the smooth flow of goods and its implications on logistics efficiency at Tanjung Priok Port. The main issue faced at the port is the irregularity in the distribution of goods due to delays in vehicle verification and suboptimal safety conditions, which reduces logistics efficiency and affects the operational performance of the port. This study adopts a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design, involving 380 respondents, including truck drivers, terminal operators, and port management, selected through purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out via questionnaires and analyzed using SmartPLS to test the direct and indirect effects among the variables. The results indicate that STID significantly affects the smooth flow of goods (t-statistic = 3.483) and logistics efficiency (t-statistic = 2.730), while OHS significantly affects the smooth flow of goods (t-statistic = 4.192) and logistics efficiency (t-statistic = 5.125). Additionally, both variables also have an indirect impact on logistics efficiency through the smooth flow of goods. In conclusion, the implementation of STID and OHS can improve logistics efficiency. It is recommended to strengthen the implementation of STID and the OHS program at the port. Future research could explore this further using a qualitative approach and longitudinal analysis.
