Abstract

Prisma Manado University, a newly established higher education institution in 2017, has faced challenges in increasing its number of new students. Due to the increasingly competitive landscape in higher education, determining effective promotional strategies has become essential. In an effort to achieve this goal, this research analyzes the application of Data Mining with a focus on clustering using the K-Means and Hierarchical Clustering algorithms. This study aims to identify groups of prospective students with similar characteristics based on available data, such as educational background, field of interest, and location preferences, so that more targeted promotional strategies can be developed. The K-Means method is used to group prospective new students into clusters based on their similar characteristics. The data used in this study includes demographic data and preferences of prospective students that have been collected by Prisma Manado University. The results of the cluster analysis will provide valuable insights into the preferences and needs of prospective students, which will then help the university in designing more efficient and suitable promotional strategies for each group of prospective students. This helps the university allocate resources more effectively and maximize promotional efforts to achieve new student enrollment targets. By applying the Data Mining approach using the K-Means and Hierarchical Clustering algorithms, this research is expected to provide a deeper understanding of the prospective students of Prisma Manado University and encourage the university to take concrete steps in improving the effectiveness of their promotional strategies. The contribution of this research is to compare two algorithms, namely K-Means Clustering and Agglomerative Hierarchical Clustering.

Abstract

The Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP) is a climate financing initiative launched by France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the European Union. It was first introduced at the 26th Conference of the Parties (COP26) held in Glasgow, United Kingdom, in 2021. The JETP framework involves collaboration among various stakeholders, including governments, the private sector, and civil society organizations (CSOs), with the primary goal of supporting the implementation of the Paris Agreement. South Africa was the first country to receive JETP support, followed by Indonesia in 2022, during the G20 Summit in Bali. This study explores the contestation of energy transition policy discourses linked to Indonesia’s JETP initiative as represented in online media. To investigate this, the research analyzed 37 articles published by ten Indonesian online news outlets between January until December 31, 2022. The study employed Discourse Network Analysis (DNA) software to map patterns of discourse, and MICMAC (Matrix of Crossed Impact Multiplications Applied to a Classification) analysis to determine key discourse themes. The findings reveal that issues of transparency and public involvement emerge as central themes that significantly shape the direction of energy transition policy under the JETP initiative. This discourse of information transparency and public involvement is the gateway to expanding the space for energy transition policies. By expanding the space for policies, government dominance can be limited. These themes were consistently highlighted across media discourse, indicating their relevance both in academic inquiry and practical policymaking.

Abstract

This study explores the strategic integration of play therapy within early childhood education management as a means to promote inclusive education and holistic child development. Drawing on a qualitative secondary data analysis of policy documents, academic literature, and theoretical models, the research identifies key frameworks, challenges, and sustainable strategies for embedding therapeutic interventions in school systems. Findings suggest that play therapy contributes significantly to emotional regulation, social inclusion, trauma recovery, and individualized learning—core components of equitable education. However, the institutionalization of play therapy faces various barriers, including policy gaps, resource limitations, staff training deficits, and cultural stigma surrounding mental health. The paper concludes with a set of actionable recommendations for educational leaders and policymakers to build systemic readiness and long-term sustainability through cross-sectoral collaboration, curriculum alignment, and inclusive leadership practices.

More than that, Persib also managed to maintain its existence as a great team for 88 years. Especially in the current era of the football industry. Since the Indonesian football competition entered the industrial realm, Persib has been listed as the team with the best finances. In 2017, Forbes magazine named Persib as the richest team in Indonesia. Apart from that, when the crisis of stopping competition hit, Persib was one of the teams that was able to recover quickly. This is what attracted researchers' interest in making Persib a research subject, especially in terms of crisis management carried out by PT Persib Bandung Bermartabat (PBB) as the company that oversees the management of the Persib team in maintaining Persib's existence as a big team in Indonesia. Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the extent to which the Innovation Idea Competition Program has effectively generated curated, feasible, and impactful ideas that address strategic regional issues, leverage local potential, meet community needs, and contribute meaningfully to the assessment of the Regional Innovation Index. The evaluation employs William N. Dunn’s six policy evaluation criteria as the analytical framework to provide insights for future program enhancement. A descriptive qualitative research method was employed, with data collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. Informants were selected using purposive sampling techniques to ensure relevance and depth. The findings reveal that, in terms of effectiveness, the program has had limited success in contributing to Regional Innovation Index reporting, with only 38.2% of implemented ideas being reflected in the index, although it has successfully fostered idea generation across various sectors (188 ideas over four years). Budgetary efficiency remains suboptimal, although human resource utilization is deemed adequate due to the commitment of the Regional Development Planning Agency team. Adequacy is also lacking, as the majority of ideas do not sufficiently address core strategic issues. Equity needs to be reinforced, as public engagement in the evaluation process remains minimal despite open access. The program's responsiveness is categorized as "developing," indicating that while many ideas have emerged, they are not yet fully integrated into formal planning processes. Conversely, the accuracy of the program is considered relatively strong in terms of conceptual design, implementation, and policy alignment.

Abstract

This study presents a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) on the application of gamification in recruitment and job training. Using the PRISMA method and a literature management platform for automated filtering and thematic grouping, 41 Scopus-indexed studies published between 2020 and 2025 were analyzed. The findings show a steady increase in research activity, with notable peaks in 2020 and 2024, and most studies originating from the United States and Europe. Points, Badges, and Leaderboards (PBL) remain the most frequently applied game elements, often combined with feedback, avatars, narrative components, challenges, and progress bars to enhance engagement and learning outcomes. Gamified e-learning platforms were the most common form of implementation, followed by serious games, mobile applications, and generic HR dashboards. Most studies (85.4%) targeted existing employees, while only 7.3% focused on recruitment, indicating a significant opportunity for broader application in this area. As a key contribution, this study proposes a three-dimensional taxonomy of gamification in HR systems, categorized by platform type, game element depth, and user segmentation. This taxonomy provides a structured framework for aligning gamification strategies with organizational objectives and user profiles. The review also identifies an emerging shift toward personalized and narrative-driven gamification designs, moving beyond conventional PBL-focused approaches.
