Abstract

Opak production in Kebumen Village faces considerable challenges as it still uses traditional methods, resulting in low productivity and competitiveness in the market. The methods used were counseling, community empowerment, and introducing appropriate technologies such as drying ovens, cassava grinders, and oak dough molders to improve production efficiency. The program included training on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Occupational Safety and Health (OHS), as well as intensive mentoring for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) for 48 days. The implementation resulted in a 30% increase in production efficiency and a 20% decrease in work accidents. Applying this technology accelerates the production process, ensures product quality, and encourages innovation in digital marketing. The success of this program shows that the introduction of appropriate technology significantly contributes to improving the productivity, sustainability, and competitiveness of traditional food MSMEs. This empowerment model can inspire similar traditional food sector development in other areas with similar potential.

Abstract

Sragen Regency has the highest percentage of poor people in Solo Raya. Despite the highest percentage of poor people, efforts to accelerate poverty reduction are in the second highest place in Solo Raya. These efforts are carried out by implementing poverty alleviation policies through the Saraswati Program. The focus of the research is to analyze the implementation of the poverty alleviation policy of the Saraswati Program as a social welfare policy and its beneficial elements for policy recipients. The research approach is qualitative. Interviews were conducted with 12 informants through purposive sampling techniques. The results of the study show that poverty alleviation of the Saraswati Program through the perspective of social welfare policy in the basic aspect of policy has applied the concept of selectivity, the aspect of the type of policy is carried out through the provision of direct services, the aspect of the funding system is carried out by utilizing the APBD, and the distribution aspect is carried out directly to the beneficiaries. Poverty alleviation policies bring benefits in providing social welfare services. Still, there is not yet a full monitoring process in the implementation process, so it is expected that it is necessary to carry out these stages to get a more effective benefit impact.

Abstract

The Musi River plays an important role in the people's economy on its coast. However, the usefulness of this river is not accompanied by public awareness of environmental preservation. The environment on the coast of this river is polluted by waste or garbage. The purpose of the assistance is to increase environmental awareness based on Islamic Religious Education from a gender perspective for the Musi River, Palembang, and coastal communities. The assistance method used is Asset Based Communities Development (ABCD). The subjects of assistance were 53 people from the coastal communities of the Musi River in Palembang. Data was collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. Assistance was carried out through socialization based on Islamic Religious Education integrated with ecological values from a gender perspective. Data analysis used qualitative and Rasch analysis. The assistance results showed that the Musi River's coastal assets in Palembang are locations and human resources that have a high spirit of mutual cooperation to preserve the environment. Rasch's analysis of the level of understanding of environmental awareness based on Islamic religious education from a gender perspective showed that 31 people were categorized as very high, six people were high, 16 people were moderate, and no one was categorized as low. Religious values about nature as a trust in God, the importance of maintaining cleanliness, and the prohibition of causing damage to the earth are the main foundations in building environmental awareness. Gender roles can maximize the participation of men and women in environmental conservation efforts

This study uses the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method to address key challenges by training on hygiene and measuring tools for consistent production, developing powdered jamu to extend shelf life, and redesigning packaging for better market appeal. An Increase in understanding of product diversification showed a 50% increase and a 16.7% increase in production techniques. Interestingly, hygiene practices and the use of measuring instruments were consistently applied. 30% of sales increase within three months of the training further demonstrated the program's impact. SWOT analysis highlighted product diversification as a key strength, while low public trust in herbal products remains challenging. Further research on evidence-based marketing, such as antioxidant activity testing, is recommended to increase consumer confidence. The finding indicates that community service supports the sustainability of Mr. Lamiran’s Jamu Kudu-Laos SME

Abstract

Poncokusumo Village, which is an independent village, has a paradox with the high number of social assistance recipients, especially the Family Hope Program (PKH). This phenomenon encourages the implementation of a community service program to encourage Beneficiary Families (KPM) to graduate independently in a sustainable manner. This community service aims to increase the economic and social capacity of KPM through a participatory approach based on local potential. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR), which actively involves KPM in the process of identifying problems, planning, implementing, and evaluating the program. The activities carried out include entrepreneurship training, strengthening KUBE institutions, integration of empowerment programs (Jatim Puspa and PENA), and intensive mentoring based on a humanistic and persuasive approach. The results show that KPM experienced an increase in knowledge, skills, and motivation to be economically independent. Some of them succeeded in graduating independently and running businesses sustainably. The conclusion of this activity confirms that participatory, contextual, and integrated empowerment can be an effective strategy in encouraging independent graduation of KPM. The contribution of this community service lies in the development of a holistic empowerment model that can be replicated in other areas with similar characteristics.

Abstract

Mangrove forests in Kipai Village provide significant benefits in terms of economy, ecology, and social aspects. However, the local community has limited awareness of these forests' direct and indirect benefits, particularly regarding the economic potential of mangrove-based commodities they have unknowingly utilized. This activity aims to provide training and assistance to the community, specifically to partners, on maximizing the potential of mangrove forest areas to improve the income of coastal communities in Kipai Village. Implementing this Community Service activity follows a structured approach to address partner challenges, including socialization, training, technology application, assistance, evaluation, and program sustainability. The evaluation involves interviewing several partner groups to gather feedback and impressions of the activities. The community members, particularly those who participated, have reported feeling the positive impact of the activity, as it has enhanced their knowledge and skills in utilizing the mangrove area's potential, thus enabling them to process it into products with higher economic value.
