Abstract

Stunting is a nutritional problem that significantly impacts the quality of human resources. The risk of stunting can occur even during pregnancy. Therefore, proper nutritional education is needed, especially for target groups like pregnant women, to prevent stunting early. Emo Demo (Emotional Demonstration) is an engaging and interactive educational method that directly involves the emotions of the target group, which can influence behavioral changes. This study aims to determine the effect of Emo Demo on stunting prevention behavior in pregnant women. A quasi-experimental design using the One Group Pretest-Posttest method was employed. The study was conducted in the working area of Puskesmas Satu Ulu, Palembang City, South Sumatra Province, in 2023. The research subjects were 30 pregnant women in the first, second, and third trimesters, selected using purposive sampling. The Wilcoxon signed ranks test results showed a change in values before and after the Emo Demo practice was given. Positive Ranks with an N value of 30 indicate that all respondents experienced an increase in pretest and posttest scores related to stunting prevention behavior. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is an effect of Emo Demo on stunting prevention behavior in the group of pregnant women with a (p-value < 0.05).

Abstract

The selection of appropriate learning strategies and models is important to strengthen students' creative thinking skills. Based on the initial learning outcomes at SMA Negeri 5 Kota Ternate, it is known that the level of students' creative thinking is still low. They also have difficulty in developing creative thinking skills in biology learning. The purpose of the study was to identify the effect of the Pj4CS model on the creative thinking skills of class XI IPA students at SMA Negeri 5 Kota Ternate, North Maluku. The type of research used was a quasi-experimental, Non-Equivalent Control Group Design research design. The instrument used was a valid and reliable creative thinking ability instrument. The results showed that there was an effect of the Pj4CS model on the creative thinking skills of class XI IPA students at SMA Negeri 5 Kota Ternate. The syntax/stages of the Pj4CS learning model (Integrated Project-Based and 4C-Scaffolding) consisting of five stages including critical reading, communication for project determination, collaborative participation, scaffolding, and exploration of creativity have proven effective in improving students' creative thinking skills.

Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) Terhadap Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis Siswa Pada Materi Keanekaragaman Hayati Kelas VII SMP Muhammadiyah Waipare, dibawah bimbingan Yohanes Nong Bunga, S. Si., M. Pd dan Sukarman Hadi Jaya Putra, S. Pd., M. Pd ABSTRAK Pemahaman siswa terhadap materi biologi masih kurang, berdasarkan hasil hasil observasi yang dilakukan di SMP Muhammadiyah Waipare. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis pada materi keanekaragaman hayati. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Muhammadiyah Waipare. Metode yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling dengan populasi semua siswa kelas VII dan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu kelas VII A sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas VII B sebagai kelas eksperimen. Instrumen yang digunkan berupa kuisioner penggunaan model pembelajaran PBL terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis dan pretes - posttes belajar siswa. Pengolahan data menggunakan program SPSS 29. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model Problem Based Learning terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada mata pelajaran keanekaragamn hayati kelas VII. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil rata-rata post-test pada kelas kontrol sebesar 62,75 sedangkan post-test pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 78,5. Adanya perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelompok, dimana kelas yang menggunakan PBL menunjukan peningkatan yang lebih tinggi dalam keterampilan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini memberikan pemahaman lebih dalam tentang peran PBL dalam meningkatkan pembelajaran biologi.

Abstract

The Bumang River is one of the rivers on Bangka Island that has not been affected by tin mining. Several fish species have been reported in this river, including Osteochilus spilurus, Pristolepis grooti and Brevibora cheeya. This study aims to inventory and re-update the composition of fish species in the Bumang River, Bangka Island. Exploration and identification of freshwater fish were carried out in June - August 2025. The location of the fish exploration in the Bumang River is in Kemuja Village, West Mendo District, Bangka Regency with coordinates 2 ° 5′ 8.48 ″ S, 105 ° 57′ 24.55 ″ E. This study uses a descriptive exploratory. Exploration of fish samples from several points in the river using umbrella traps. The fish obtained will be identified and water quality measurements will be carried out directly in the waters where the traps are installed. A total of 37 species and 7 families of fish were collected during the research. Among the seven families identified, the Cyprinidae family had the largest number of species, with 12, followed by the Osphronemidae family with 7 species, and the remaining families with only 1 to 3 species. The high number of species and families identified indicates that the Bumang River has a high fish diversity and the diversity of fish in this river is also enriched by the presence of endemic species, namely: Betta schaleri, Betta chloropharynx, and Parospremenus bintan.

Abstract

Soil insects play a crucial role in maintaining ecosystem balance and supporting soil fertility, particularly within coffee plantation ecosystems. This study aims to analyze the diversity of soil insects by comparing results from artificial intelligence (AI)-based predictions and field explorations to obtain a comprehensive understanding of community structure. The research was conducted in a smallholder coffee plantation located in Wiyono Village, Pesawaran Regency, Lampung. Field data were collected using the pitfall trap method, while AI-based predictions were generated utilizing a dataset derived from 14 relevant scientific publications. Data analysis employed the Shannon-Wiener diversity index (H′) to evaluate differences between predicted and observed results. The findings revealed that the AI-based prediction estimated an H′ value of 1.787 (moderate diversity), whereas the field exploration yielded an H′ value of 0.428 (low diversity). This discrepancy is influenced by dataset limitations, species dominance, and selectivity inherent in the sampling method. The results highlight the importance of integrating AI-based predictive approaches with field validation to enhance the accuracy of biodiversity assessments. This study contributes to the development of AI-driven prediction models and supports sustainable management of coffee plantation ecosystems.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of problem-based laboratory guides in enhancing students’ active participation in science learning. The research employed a Posttest-Only Control Group Design involving a sample of 30 students. Data were collected through an observation sheet encompassing four dimensions of active participation: cognitive process, behavioral action, social collaboration, and affective motivation. The results of the Paired Samples t-Test indicated that the Sig. (p) value for all variables was less than 0.05, signifying a significant difference between the control and experimental classes. The overall mean score of students’ active participation increased from 2.01 (moderate category) in the control class to 3.88 (high category) in the experimental class, with the greatest improvement observed in the cognitive dimension. These findings demonstrate that the implementation of problem-based laboratory guides is effective in fostering students’ active engagement, strengthening collaboration, and enhancing learning motivation in science laboratory activities

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan E-Modul berbasis discovery learning pada materi animalia di SMA Negeri 2 Luwu. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian R&D (Research and Development) yang mengacuh pada desain penelitian pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima tahap yaitu analisis (analyze), perancangan (design), pengembangan (development), implementasi (implementation) dan evaluasi (evaluation). Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X IPA 2 SMA Negeri 2 Luwu yang dipilih dengan teknik simple random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar validasi, angket respon dan tes hasil belajar. Data penelitian diuji kevalidan, kepraktisan dan keefektifan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Uji kevalidan dinyatakan sangat valid berdasarkan penilaian validator ahli media dengan persentase 81,5% dan validator ahli materi dengan persentase 77,07%. (2) Uji kepraktisan dinyatakan sangat praktis berdasarkan respon guru dan setelah penggunaan e-modul sebesar 82,69% dan respon siswa sebesar 82,85%. (3) uji keefektifan dengan nilai 84,67% (sangat efektif). Kriteria ini menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan e-modul berbasis Discovery Learning valid, praktis, dan efektif sehingga dapat digunakan pada materi animalia.

Abstract

Jawawut (Setaria italica L. Beauv) merupakan salah satu jenis tanaman biji-bijian yang belum dikenal luas oleh masyarakat Indonesia. Pengembangan jawawut perlu dilakukan untuk menunjang ketahanan pangan masyarakat sekaligus mencegah masalah gizi.. Salah satu kelebihan dari tanaman ini adalah kemampuan beradaptasi pada kondisi lingkungan yang beriklim kering atau memiliki kemampuan toleran terhadap cekaman kekeringan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendapatkan genotip jawawut yang memberikan pengaruh paling baik terhadap pertumbuhan jawawut pada tingkat pemberian air di lahan kering. Penelitian dilakukan bulan Juni sampai dengan September 2017 pada Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Padjadjaran. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Petak Terbagi (Split Plot Design) dengan 3 ulangan. Faktor petak utama terdiri atas tiga taraf perlakuan yaitu genotip 44, 46, dan 48. Faktor anak petak terdiri atas tiga taraf perlakuan yaitu 75% kapasitas lapang, 50% kapasitas lapang dan 25% kapasitas lapang. Variabel pengamatan yaitu komponen pertumbuhan (tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan maksimum, nisbah pupus akar dan bukaan stomata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh interaksi genotip dan perlakuan kapasitas lapang terhadap tinggi tanaman dan bukaan stomata Pada komponen pertumbuhan respons terbaik diberikan oleh genotip 44 yang diberi perlakuan 75% KL terhadap tinggi tanaman (140,53 cm). Genotip 48 yang diberi perlakuan 75% KL memberikan respons terbaik terhadap jumlah anakan maksimum (12,67 anakan). Genotip 46 yang diberi perlakuan 50% KL memberikan respons terbaik terhadap nisbah pupus akar (7,46) dan konduktansi stomata (136.95) pada perlakuan 75%.

Abstract

In producing effective learning, a teacher needs learning tools that can support the learning process in the classroom. For this reason, teachers need learning tools in the form of teacher guidebooks to help the learning process, especially learning biology. This study aims to produce a learning unit with a flipped classroom learning setting based on guided inquiry on circulatory system material for class XI SMA/MA. This research is a development research that adapts the ADDIE development model which consists of analysis stages, namely needs analysis, content analysis, structure analysis, and objective analysis, the design stage is carried out by designing products consisting of cover design and content design, the development stage is tested for validity by an expert validator, the implementation stage is carried out by applying the product with practicality and effectiveness tests, and the evaluation stage is carried out by re-evaluating the product based on the practicality test. The developed learning unit is equipped with core competencies, basic competencies, learning materials, flipped classroom learning stages, guided inquiry learning scenarios, learning assessments, and student worksheets. The results showed practicality with an average score on the teacher and student response questionnaire, namely 86.6 and 84.02, included in the practical category.

Abstract

Pandemi covid-19 melanda seluruh kabupaten/kota yang ada di Indonesia termasuk kota Bima Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat. Demi kelancaran kegiatan pembelajaran jarak jauh dimasa pandemi, program studi pendidikan biologi STKIP Bima mengembangkan pembelajaran elektronik (e- learning) jenis moodle melalui dana hibah Kemendikbudristek. Oleh karena itu dilakukannya penelitian ini dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan e-learning moodle terhadap kemampuan literasi digital mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Biologi STKIP Bima. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu. Populasi seluruh mahasiswa program studi pendidikan biologi STKIP Bima semester I tahun pelajaran 2021/2022. Tekhnik pengambilan sampel dengan sampling random purposive sehingga diperoleh kelas D sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas E sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen pengumpul data berupa angket respon mahasiswa. Setelah itu data dianalisis dengan analisis statistik deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data bahwa penggunaan e-learning moodle berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan kemampuan literasi digital mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Biologi STKIP Bima yaitu berada dalam kategori sangat baik, baik dan cukup.
