Abstract

This paper examines education with a modern philosophical analysis approach. From a phenomenological point of view, philosophy firmly shows that philosophy does not solely start from metaphysical conceptions but also always starts from contextual ones, which originate from actual or true events. The method of this writing is phenomenological based on developing thoughts about educational philosophy. From this literature review, the conclusion emerges that to overcome conflict with a non-violent mentality, education is believed to help humans develop a new mentality and character that allows humans to adapt to their social environment. Thus, in order for humans to comprehend one another and cultivate peace, they must be receptive to all possibilities within the framework of hermeneutics, including the historical background, which serves as the foundation. This paper contributes to a mindset that prioritizes openness to new ideas, remaining flexible and easy to adapt, change, and investigate routes that are rebuilt over time in accordance with the basic philosophy of humans as existentialist creatures.

Abstract

Abstract

Education is an essential matter for every individual to support both personal and social life. This has been an unchanged reality up to the present moment. The Church truly recognizes its significant role in education. However, with various changing contexts over different eras, the Church's response to education in each era also varies. Before the Second Vatican Council, the Church faced an educational situation influenced by Gallicanism, which sought to weaken the Church's influence on the state. The impact of Gallicanism on education was the existence of a state monopoly on education, leaving behind crucial aspects of education. Pope Pius XI, through Divini Illius Magistri, sought to address such a context. After the Second Vatican Council, the Church's stance, previously closed to the modern world, began to change. The Church became more open to the modern world, influencing its perspective on education. Education, which was previously more anti-modernism and anti-liberalism, has now become more open. This shift is conveyed in the document Gravissimum Educationis, published during the Second Vatican Council. The Church's development in responding to the evolving world of education is a tangible manifestation of its presence in the world.

Abstract

The story of Prophet Moses (Moses) and Pharaoh (Pharaoh) is the most frequently mentioned narrative in the Qur'an, appearing in as many as 296 verses. The repetition of this story underscores its significance and the lessons it holds, especially regarding relations with leaders. Scholars such as Sayyid Qutb, Hasan al-Banna, and al-Mawardi emphasize the obligation of Muslims to preach to unjust leaders using religious teachings. Allah warns of the dire consequences of a leader's injustice, including painful punishment and the destruction of a nation. Therefore, da'wah (preaching) to leaders becomes a crucial step. The research methodology includes collecting verses related to the story of Prophet Moses and Pharaoh, carefully examining the words and sentences used in these verses, studying the interpretations from various schools of thought, and conducting a thorough analysis using objective reasoning and philosophical and allegorical methods (ishari) as approached by al-Ghazali. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of da'wah from the story of Prophet Moses with Pharaoh is that despite numerous challenges from tyrannical regimes, Prophet Moses remained steadfast and patient in carrying out his ministry. Prophet Moses' style of discussion and reasoned debate demonstrates the value of a preaching strategy that focuses on both spiritual and intellectual strength. Prophet Moses' attitude demonstrates how a preacher must be courageous, patient, and consistent when dealing with opposing powers.

Abstract

This research asks questions about what engineers do and how they express their professional demands as well as their religious demands. This research is prioritized to determine the dynamics of engineering diversity through the relationship between the religiosity of Muslim engineers and future engineering-technology risks in Indonesia. To achieve its objectives, this research uses a holistic-integrative approach as a way to explore the relationship between engineers' religiosity and engineering-technology risks in Indonesia. This research begins with quantitative data collection and Maximum Likelihood Estimate (MLE) analysis, followed by modeling using the Structural Equation Model application (Structured Equation Modelling-Partial Least Square or SEM-PLS) version 3.0. The research begins with observing literature to obtain the main dimensions of religiosity, then selecting and determining the main and important dimensions of the Islamic religion. constructing each dimension into sub-dimensions and attributes that consist of diversity. using a modified worldview approach. The religiosity structure developed consists of 6 main dimensions, namely: dimensions of universal awareness (X1), universal views (X2), core values (X3); identity dimension (X4), observed behavior dimension (X5) and institutional culture dimension (X6). To test the structural model of religiosity, this research has collected field data obtained from 45 graduates of the engineering professional program as research respondents spread across Central Sulawesi and South Sulawesi.

Abstract

This article examines the views of Islamic religious figures regarding the Green Open Space (RTH) corruption case in Cisurupan Village, Cibiru District, Bandung City, as well as their role in preventing similar corruption. Considering that the majority of Cisurupan residents are Muslim, this research highlights the views of religious figures from various backgrounds. Qualitative research methods with a field study approach were used. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with four religious figures who play a role in society, education, MUI, and government, as well as secondary data from literature and internet sources. Data analysis compares interview results with literature to understand the perceptions and role of religious figures in RTH corruption cases. The research results show that religious figures' views on corruption vary. Some consider corruption a religious violation due to a lack of understanding of religious teachings, while others see it as a personal choice influenced by individual and environmental factors. The role of religious figures in preventing corruption includes moral education, anti-corruption outreach, and education on the values of honesty in schools. The conclusion of this research shows that the views and roles of religious figures are greatly influenced by their social background, personal experiences and position in society. This research provides insight into the perceptions and roles of Islamic religious leaders in preventing corruption in Muslim-majority areas. It is recommended that further research involve more religious figures for a more comprehensive understanding.
