As-Sabiqun Journal is an interdisciplinary publication of original research and articles on Islamic Studies and Educational Sciences. This journal was published by Pendidikan Islam Anak Usia Dini (PIAUD) STIT Palapa Nusantara Lombok - NTB which was published twice in a year (biannualy), March and October with a minimum of 5 articles. The journal aims to provide a forum for scholarly understanding of the field of education and plays an important role in promoting the process that accumulated knowledge, values, and skills. Scientific manuscript dealing with Islamic Studies and Educational Sciences topics are particularly welcome to be submitted. The journal encompasses research articles, original research report, and scientific reviews in education in any fields including: 1. Early Childhood Education Theory; 2. Early Childhood Education Learning Practice; 3. Early Childhood Development includes Religious and Moral, Cognitive, Language, Social-Emotional, Physical-Motoric, and Art Values; 4. PAUD Policy; 5. Abstract

This research was cconducted with the aim of finding out the influence of literacy, in this case public knowledge about usury, on people’s behavior in carrying out debts and receivables with subjective norms as a moderating variable. The type of research used is quantitative research with a survey approach. The population, namely the total number of PNM Mekaar Mambi Branch costumers, wa 3.701 people. The sampel was determined using the kriccjie Morgan formula which then obtained 348 samples which were then used in this research. This research uses primary datta, namely direct responses from respondents via questionnaires distributed via Google form and distributing questionnaires directly the field. Data analysis was carried out using the SmartPLS 3 application. The results of the research show that literacy has a positive effect on people’s behavior in making debts and receivables.

Abstract

Students' interest in the subject of sociology varies, and some of them may be less enthusiastic about the subject, so an approach that caters to individual students' needs is necessary. The aim of this research is to outline the crucial role of teachers in implementing differentiated learning strategies in sociology and its impact on enhancing students' interest in the subject. This study utilizes a qualitative approach using a descriptive methodology, and data is gathered through observations, interviews, and document analysis. The research is carried out at SMAN 2 Pandeglang, located in the Banten Province. The research findings reveal several key points: (1) Teachers apply various customized learning strategies, such as grouping students based on their abilities, providing diverse learning resources, and assigning projects that align with students' interests. (2) Teachers act as facilitators, assisting students in identifying their interests, providing guidance, and challenging students according to their individual abilities. (3) The outcome of implementing differentiated learning is that students become more engaged in the learning process because they perceive the subject matter as relevant to their interests and personal experiences. In conclusion, the role of teachers is pivotal in cultivating students' interest in sociology at SMAN 2 Pandeglang through the implementation of tailored learning strategies. Teachers need to function as facilitators who understand students' needs and interests to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

Abstract

Al-Qur’an education for young children is important, especially for the development of children’s character. This research focuses on Al-Qur’an learning management at RA Al Akhyar, Cilandak, South Jakarta. The employed method is qualitative. The research data is interviewing results with the school principal as primary source data, supplemented by observations of the Al-Qur’an learning management at RA Al-Akhyar during 2022/23 academic years in March to May 2023. The research results show Al-Qur’an learning management at RA Al Akhyar is conducted systematically, involving teachers as implementers and the teacher council in policy-making. The curriculum at RA Al Akhyar is dynamic. Planning involves the modification of self-learning models through: (1) the use of storytelling methods, (2) teachers as role models to instill Al-Qur’an knowledge and values. The learning is conducted in an effective 30-minute duration and implements the planned learning model. The learning process also involves parents in activities that require guidance. Learning evaluation is conducted systematically with daily and end-of-semester records of learning. The final assessment takes into consideration not only the child's abilities but also the child's mental maturity in Quranic learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out and describe the topic and factors that cause class XI Mia 1 MAN 1 Sintang students to experience learning loss after the Covid-19 pandemic in mathematics subjects. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research with the subjects of this research being class XI Mia 1 MAN 1 Sintang students, totaling 34 people. Data collection techniques use written tests, questionnaires and interviews. The results of the written test research showed that students experienced learning loss in mathematics as much as 2.95% in the low category and 91.17% in the very low category. Based on questionnaire and interview analysis, it shows that the main factors that students experience learning loss are due to unstable signals, decreased learning motivation, and limited interaction between teachers and students and between students and students.

Abstract

The purpose of this research are to characterize the following relationships: that between learning gains and accomplishment motivation, discipline, and responsibility; that relationship between these relationships and learning gains; and that between the combined predictor factors and the criterion variable, as a percentage. This study, which was carried out at SD Mujahidin Pontianak with a sample of 183 kids, combined a descriptive method and a quantitative approach. Questionsnaires were used in the data collection process. Many strategies for correlation were employed in data analysis. The findings revealed a favorable and substantial connection between : 1) discipline and learning gain (r of 0.967); 2) achievement motivation and learning gain (r of 0.930); and 3) responsibility and thematic learning gain (r of 0.971). Additionally, the three predictor variables—discipline (X1) at 0.32%, achievement motivation (X2) at 0.30%, and responsibility (X3) at 0.33%—contributed 0.95% to the criterion variable. With a contribution of 0.33%, the accountability variable (X3) is the largest factor in learning gain.

Abstract

Learning mathematics has become a polemic for some teachers considering the need for innovations to answer the challenges of the times. The development of the curriculum is a challenge for teachers in adjusting to the latest learning currents which are indirectly required to develop in planning and learning processes which often become a difficulty for teachers in self-development. The study aims to describe how the learning process leads to the difficulties of mathematics teachers in grade IV MI Sunan Giri Merjosari Lowokwaru Malang in detail. This research method uses qualitative with phenomenological types. Data and data sources were obtained from informants at the MI Sunan Giri Merjosari Lowokwaru Malang institution. The results of this study indicate that one of the difficulties experienced by teachers is in lesson planning, where the teacher has difficulty in allocating time, using learning resources and determining methods in adjusting learning material while in the learning process activities the teacher experiences a little difficulty in concentrating students while at the learning evaluation stage , the questions in the LKPD have not yet entered the realm of the Hots level. Difficulties come from several factors, one of which is the impact of curriculum changes, lack of training and lack of attention from the impact of curriculum changes, lack of training and lack of attention from the government. The difficulties experienced by teachers can be overcome in several ways, one of which is training, seminars, study tours where these methods are shortcuts to hone teacher competence.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine developing critical thinking skills in learning fiqh of MIN 7 Boyolali, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques are data collection, data reduction, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results showed that developing critical thinking skills in fiqh learning at MIN 7 Boyolali has been carried out quite well. This shows that the fiqh teacher at MIN 7 Boyolali has a good understanding of critical thinking skills and how to apply them in fiqh learning. In addition, teachers have also used various learning methods that can develop critical thinking skills. However, there are still some things that can be improved in developing critical thinking skills in fiqh learning at MIN 7 Boyolali, namely teachers need to provide more opportunities for students to practice critical thinking, and the fiqh curriculum and syllabus need to be reviewed to place more emphasis on developing critical thinking skills. The contribution of this research is to provide an overview of the development of critical thinking skills in fiqh learning at MIN 7 Boyolali and provide recommendations to improve the development of critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the utilization of the school library as a learning resource for students at State Elementary School 12 South Pontianak. The research method used was descriptive with a qualitative research form. The data sources of this research were Librarians and Teachers of State Elementary School 12 South Pontianak and the data were the results of interviews and observations with school Librarians and Teachers. The data collection techniques in this research were non-participatory observation techniques, semi-structured interview techniques, and documentation. The data collection instrument in this study was the researcher himself as the main instrument using observation guidelines, interview guidelines, and documentation. Based on the data from observations and interviews, the utilization of the school library as a learning resource for students has been well implemented. The supporting factors are school library facilities and infrastructure, access to the school library. While the inhibiting factors are the absence of library membership cards and interest students to utilize the school library as a learning resource.

Abstract

This research aims to produce a product in the form of an educational game media for the IPAS subject with material on the Skeleton, Joints, and Muscles in the sixth grade of SDN 40 Pontianak Utara that can be considered suitable for use. The research and development (R&D) method is employed, adapting the Thiagarajan 4D development model, which includes the stages of Define, Design, Development, and Dissemination. The data sources for this research come from the validation results of two expert validators, practicality questionnaires for teachers, and feedback from students. Data collection involves validators' validation questionnaires and practicality questionnaires. The results of the research indicate that during the development process of educational game media, these four stages have been successfully implemented. The validity level of educational game media in terms of media reaches an average of 4.45, categorized as highly valid, while the material aspect obtains an average of 4.6, also categorized as highly valid. The practicality of using educational game media in the IPAS subject with material on the Skeleton, Joints, and Muscles for the sixth grade by teachers achieves a score of 4.47, categorized as very practical, while by students, it reaches a score of 4.1, also categorized as very practical. Based on the obtained results, it can be concluded that the educational game media developed for the IPAS subject with material on the Skeleton, Joints, and Muscles for the sixth grade can be considered suitable for use in the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

Learning the art of music on cognitive development in early childhood is discussed in this research. Learning the art of music in early childhood is the main thing and is very important to learn and develop in early childhood. This research aims to find out how teachers implement music arts learning for early childhood at Karya Bunda Mandiri Kindergarten in Medan. early childhood education programs. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach. Then the data collection techniques used were observation and literature study. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. The results of the research show that learning the art of music is very important and has an influence on children in their development process and from the results of research at the Karya Bunda Mandiri Kindergarten in Medan, teachers have implemented early childhood education music learning well and in fun and can improve children's cognitive abilities because in teacher learning always uses singing and clapping to teach new things in learning at Karya Bunda Mandiri Kindergarten.
