Abstract

This research investigates the influence of parenting styles on the formation of children's character in the era of the Strawberry Generation. The Strawberry Generation refers to a group of young people considered more susceptible to emotional stress and lacking resilience in facing life challenges. In this context, the role of parenting styles becomes a determining factor in shaping children’s character. The study was conducted through literature reviews. The analysis that shaped the results of this research is expected to provide a profound understanding of the relationship between parenting styles and children’s character in the context of the Strawberry Generation era. The findings of this research can guide parents, educators, and practitioners in developing more effective parenting strategies to assist in the formation of children's character. Moreover, this research contributes to our understanding of the factors shaping the specific characteristics of the younger generation in this turbulent era

Abstract

This article aims to elaborate and reveal the importance of character education at the elementary school level in the 21st century. The main issue discussed in this article is character education as a unique national identity that is inherited and the formation of habits in the midst of 21st century digital technology. Sources This is obtained from actual data with emphasis on citing articles and journals in which they are published. The literature study in preparing this article is a literature review using a qualitative descriptive method carried out through reading, concluding and developing the data obtained as research material used. Alternative problem solving in this article focuses on the fact that character education cannot only use theory, but requires role models or examples as well as supervision.

Abstract

This research aims to illustrate the role of teachers in enhancing the interpersonal intelligence of early childhood through outdoor learning activities, utilizing a qualitative descriptive research method. The research approach involves participatory observation, in-depth interviews with teachers, and the analysis of curriculum-related documents and outdoor learning activities. The findings indicate that the teacher's role in this context encompasses various aspects significantly contributing to the development of interpersonal intelligence in early childhood. As the primary facilitator, teachers guide children in outdoor activities, foster social interaction, and promote the development of interpersonal relationships. Teachers also play a crucial role in creating an environment supportive of collaborative learning, where children can learn together, share ideas, and overcome challenges collectively. This research highlights the importance of the teacher's role as a social model inspiring and guiding positive behavior in children. Moreover, the research findings can be implemented as a guide for curriculum development and the execution of outdoor learning activities to enhance the aspects of interpersonal intelligence in early childhood. The results of this study are expected to contribute to both practical and theoretical understanding of how this learning approach can be optimally integrated into the context of early childhood education.

Abstract

In the current era of Indonesian education, there are many challenges faced by early childhood educators in implementing the Independent Curriculum. These difficulties include the complexity of designing modules, determining competency indicators, and arranging interesting activities. Through a qualitative descriptive methodology that uses interview methods and document analysis, this research aims to gain insight from educators and administrators. These findings explain the efforts and challenges experienced by educators at the PAUD level in balancing structure and flexibility in teaching materials, establishing holistic competency indicators, and encouraging experiential learning. This research contributes to improving early childhood education practice by providing a deeper understanding of the barriers and opportunities in the context of the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the quality of problem solving abilities in terms of cognitive load theory in the PBL learning model with a realistic approach. The research design used a one-shot case study of 2 classes, namely the experimental and control classes at Dr. Vocational School. Tipto Semarang. Data collection techniques in research use test, questionnaire, observation, interview and documentation methods. The research results show that Hypothesis 1 shows that the average test results are tcount = 1.871 and ttable = 1.697. So it can be concluded that tcount > ttable, then H0 is rejected, meaning that the average problem-solving ability in terms of cognitive load theory in the PBL learning model with a realistic approach is more than the minimum criterion (70). Hypothesis 2 results of the classical completeness test obtained Zcount = 2.79 and Ztable = 1.64 because Zcount > Ztable then H0 is rejected so it can be concluded that the proportion of problem solving ability in terms of cognitive load theory in the PBL learning model with a realistic approach exceeds 75%. Hypothesis 3: The results of the average difference test calculation show that tcount = 6.483 and ttable = 1.697 because tcount > ttable, so H0 is rejected. So it can be concluded that the average problem-solving ability in terms of cognitive load theory in the PBL learning model with a realistic approach to the experimental class is more than the average problem-solving ability of the control class. Hypothesis 4 is the quality of problem solving abilities in terms of cognitive load theory in the PBL model with an effective realistic approach to increase the results of students' problem solving abilities and based on the results of the analysis of the N-Gain hypothesis test in the medium category which is equal to 0.38293 or if it is rounded up to 0.38 and is included in the medium category.

Abstract

Masalah umum yang dihadapi oleh beberapa siswa dalam belajar matematika salah satunya adalah rendahnya menjawab pertanyaan berkaitan dengan pemecahan masalah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik pada pembelajaran problem based learning ditinjau dari kepribadian sensing dan intuitive peserta didik. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X.E SMA Takhassus Al-Qur’an tahun pelajaran 2022/2023 sebanyak 35 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pembelajaran problem based learning berbantuan etnomatematika. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode tes, angket, observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian pencapaian Tes Kemampuan Pemecahan masalah matematis (TKPMM) peserta didik ditinjau dari kepribadian sensing dan intuitive pada pembelajaran problem based learning bernuansa etnomatematika cukup bervariasi. Peserta didik dengan KPMM kategori tinggi untuk tipe kepribadian sensing dan intuitive mampu menguasai dan memahami semua indikator. Peserta didik dengan KPMM kategori sedang untuk tipe kepribadian sensing dan intuitive mampu memahami dan menguasai tiga indikator. Peserta didik dengan KPMM kategori rendah untuk tipe kepribadian sensing dan intuitive hanya mampu memahami dan menguasai dua indikator.

Abstract

Training is a total of activities to provide, obtain, improve and develop work competence, productivity, discipline, attitude and work ethic at a certain level of skills and expertise in accordance with the level and qualifications of the position or job. Trainers are instructors or other equivalent terms, who have the technical and methodological competence to conduct training. There are 3 forms of methodological training, namely offline training, blended/hybrid training, and online training. Therefore, one of the learning media uses LMS (Learning Management System). This year is the second year where 80% of training is full online. There are many challenges faced in implementing online methodology training because instructors and trainees do not meet in the real world so this different form of communication reduces the level of understanding of trainees. Data obtained from private instructor level 3 online methodology training stages IX and X in 2023 at BBPVP Serang. From the results of the initial data, it was obtained that the training course called the competency unit was considered the most difficult by the training participants, namely "Conducting Face-to-Face Training" with unit code N.78SPS02.028.2. Then 70% of the 20 training participants chose learning media in the form of video tutorials on practical assignments to facilitate their understanding in carrying out practical training assignments on the most difficult competency units.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Card Sort learning method on students' conceptual understanding abilities in science learning. The background of this research is that students often find it difficult to understand material, especially in science learning. PISA 2018 Results (Volumes I and II) stated that based on the results of the previous PISA survey, in 2018, Indonesia still ranked lower in the ability to understand concepts of elementary school students in all countries participating in the survey, therefore, fun learning is needed. so that students can focus and enthusiasm in learning. The research method used in this study was quasi-experimental or quasi-experimental with a Nonquivalent (Pretest and Posttest) Control Group Design. The population in this study were Grade IV students at SDN 1 Jatiluhur and the research samples taken were class IV A as an experimental class that applied the Card Sort learning method and class IV B as a control class that applied conventional learning. Data collection techniques using tests, observation, and documentation. The results of the analysis of research data on hypothesis testing obtained a significance result (2-tailed) of 0.001. Then a significance value of 0.001 <0.05 is obtained, meaning that there is an influence of the Card Sort learning method on students' conceptual understanding abilities in elementary school science learning. As well as the effect size test of the Cohens' d formula of 0.356 <d ≤ 0.5 which indicates the medium category. Both of these classes fall into the low category but the experimental class has a greater value than the control class. The results of this study indicate that the use of the Card Sort learning method has a moderate effect on students' conceptual understanding skills in science learning.

Abstract

Natural science education can be a vehicle for students to learn about themselves and the natural world around them, as well as prospects for further development in applying it in everyday life. However, in fact, currently science learning is a boring lesson for elementary school students, because when science learning takes place, the average teacher only gives theory, so sometimes there are students who don't understand, and when the students don't understand, the students don't understand. dare to ask the teacher. This of course causes problems where it has an impact on student learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the effect of the Discovery Learning learning model on science learning outcomes in class III students at SDN 2 Sindangkasih Purwakarta District, Purwakarta Regency, West Java. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method with the Nonequivalent Control Group Design type. The population in this study were all students of class III SDN 2 Sindangkasih, the samples used in this study were class III A as the experimental class and class III C as the control class. Data collection techniques in this study used tests, questionnaires, observation, and documentation. The results of the research data analysis were preceded by a normality test. The results showed that there was an influence of the discovery learning model on students' science learning outcomes. This is based on the calculation of the Mann-Whitney test with the Asymp Sig value obtained. (2-tailed) of 0.197 ≥ 0.05, then is accepted, and seen from the questionnaire responses of students who achieved a result of 91.9 which is in the very positive category. The results of this study indicate that the use of discovery learning learning models has an influence on the science learning outcomes of elementary school students.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the implementation of Pancasila student profile character education at Al Madina Islamic Elementary School and describe the culture that exists at Al Madina Islamic Elementary School. This research method uses qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques come from observation, interviews, and questionnaires. With the results of the analysis and discussion of the data obtained, it is clear that the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile character education has met the very good criteria, namely achieving a score of 83.51, application of the character values of faith, devotion to God Almighty, and noble character, global diversity, mutual cooperation, independence. , critical reasoning, and creativity. Through school culture habits such as attending morning assembly, reading Asmaul Husna, mujahaddah, midday prayer, midday prayer in congregation, respecting other people with good manners, getting used to being independent in doing things, being creative in making things and giving constructive ideas or suggestions.
