Abstract

The use of Digital Learning Videos is one of the effective learning methods to solve problems in learning. This study aims to determine the Social Studies Learning Outcomes of Fifth Grade Students of Muhammadiyah IDI Elementary School Tello Baru Makassar after using digital learning videos. This study uses the Quasi Experimental Design research method. The population in this study were fifth grade students of Muhammadiyah IDI Elementary School Tello Baru Makassar. The sampling technique used was the purposive sampling technique with samples of the experimental class and the control class. The instruments used were test instruments in the form of multiple choice questions to measure students' social studies learning outcomes and observations. The data collection techniques used in this study were written tests, observation sheets and documentation. The data analysis technique used was the descriptive analysis technique which included descriptive statistics and the n-gain test. And inferential analysis techniques include normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the results of students' social studies learning in experimental class V (A) totaling 22 students after using digital learning videos were obtained 9.1% with a very low category, 13.6% with a low category, 9.1% with a medium category, 27.3% with a high category and 40.9% with a very high category. While in the control class V (B) totaling 20 students after not using digital learning videos, 10% were obtained with a high category, 20% with a medium category, 15% with a low category, and 55% with a very low category. In the use of digital learning videos, 82.43% of students were active in class and 91.92% of students gave a positive response to digital learning video learning. This shows that the results of social studies learning in the experimental class taught using digital learning videos are higher. While the control class that is not taught using the digital learning video method is lower. Based on the results obtained This is based on the management of the results of the Sig hypothesis. (2-tailed) <α then obtained 0.000 <0.05. This shows that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. In addition, it can also be seen from the average posttest results of the experimental class of 87.27 with the highest value of 100 and the lowest value of 50, while the average posttest results of the control class were 67 with the highest value of 90 and the lowest value of 50. From these results it can be concluded that the use of digital learning videos has an effect on the social studies learning outcomes of Class V students of SD Muhammadiyah IDI Tello Baru Makassar

Abstract

The advancement of information technology has significantly influenced the educational sector, particularly in the development of learning media. However, many elementary schools still rely on conventional teaching tools that often fail to engage students effectively. This condition calls for the integration of digital media to enhance the learning experience. This study aimed to develop a Kinemaster-based instructional video for integrated thematic learning in Grade V of elementary school that is both valid and practical. This research employed a research and development (R&D) method using the 4D model, consisting of four stages: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The developed video was validated by experts in content, media, and language. Practicality was assessed through questionnaires distributed to teachers and students. The results of the validation process indicated that the video was highly valid, with scores of 86,3% for content, 87,5% for media, and 90,6% for language. Practicality tests also showed high scores, with teacher and student responses ranging from 86,57% to 96.4%. These findings indicate that the instructional video is suitable for use in the classroom and can support meaningful and engaging learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Total Quality Management (TQM) on teacher performance and learning effectiveness at SD Terpadu Madina Samarinda. The research approach used is quantitative with a descriptive and correlational design. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and documentation, and then analyzed using Pearson correlation tests and simple linear regression. The results showed that the implementation of TQM had a positive and significant impact on both teacher performance and learning effectiveness. Improved teacher training, continuous evaluation, and effective feedback systems were found to enhance teaching quality and student understanding of the material. This study recommends further strengthening the implementation of TQM with continuous professional development and adapting teaching methods to meet students' needs.

Abstract

Conceptual understanding is a crucial skill in mathematics learning, particularly in multiplication at the elementary school level. However, in practice, many students still struggle to fully comprehend the meaning of multiplication. This study aims to develop and examine the effectiveness of a digital comic based on the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach as an instructional medium to improve students’ conceptual understanding of multiplication. The research employed a quasi-experimental design using a one-group pretest-posttest approach involving 20 second-grade elementary students. Data were collected through conceptual understanding tests administered before and after the intervention. Data analysis included normality testing and paired sample t-test. The findings indicate a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores, with an average N-Gain of 0.43, categorized as moderate. These results suggest that CTL-based digital comics are effective in enhancing students' conceptual understanding of multiplication. This innovation supports meaningful and engaging learning, aligned with the characteristics of 21st-century learners.

The Influence of Pop-Up Book Learning Media on the Learning Outcomes of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) for Fourth Grade Students at SDN 105 Sangkala, Kajang District, Bulukumba Regency, South Sulawesi Province. Thesis, Elementary School Teacher Education Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Muhammadiyah University of Makassar. Supervisor I: Dr. Drs. Samsuriadi, M.A. and Supervisor II: Ainun Jariah, S.Ag., M.A. This study aims to determine the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) for fourth-grade students at SDN 105 Sangkala after the use of learning media in the form of a Pop-Up Book. The method used in this research is Quasi Experimental Design. The research population consists of fourth-grade students at SDN 105 Sangkala, with purposive sampling techniques involving an experimental class and a control class. The instruments used are multiple-choice tests to measure students' PAI learning outcomes and observations. Data collection is conducted through written tests, observation sheets, and documentation. Data analysis is performed using descriptive techniques that include descriptive statistics and n-gain tests, as well as inferential analysis that includes normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing. The results of the study indicate that the PAI learning outcomes of students in the experimental class (IVA), consisting of 22 students after using the Pop-Up Book learning media, show that 27.7% are in the moderate category, 36.3% in the high category, and 13.6% in the very high category. Meanwhile, in the control class (IVB), consisting of 24 students who used conventional learning models, 29.1% are in the moderate category, 37.5% in the low category, and 25% in the very low category. The use of Pop-Up Book learning media shows that 87.4% of students are active in class and 92.5% provide positive responses to PAI learning. Based on these results, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. N-Gain analysis shows an average normalized gain of 0.77, which falls into the high category. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of Pop-Up Book learning media has a positive effect on the PAI learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN 105 Sangkala.

Abstract

Masalah utama dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana penerapan media papan pintar terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas IIA SD Inpres Sanging-Sanging. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh penggunaan media papan pintar terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas IIA SD Inpres Sanging-Sanging. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SD Inpres Sanging- Sanging Kabupaten Gowa. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IIA SD Inpres Sanging-Sanging. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi dan lembar tes hasil belajar. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah pemberian tes dan lembar observasi. Data yang diperoleh kemudian di analisis menggunakan analisis stattistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar pada mata peljaran matematikan sebelum menggunakan media papan pintar dengan nilai rata-rata 42,0. Sedangkan pada posttest meningkat dengan nilai rata-rata 86,80. Hasil analisis uji-t terkait pengaruh penggunaan media papan pintar terhadap hasil belajar ssiwa menunjukkan hasil bahwa nilai signifikansi yaitu diperoleh yaitu = <0,03 yang berarti lebih kecil dari 0.05. maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Hasil uji hipotesis tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh papan pintar terhadap hasil belajar siwa kelas IIA SD Inpres Sanging-Sanging Kabupaten Gowa.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' understanding of concepts through the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model in mathematics learning, specifically in the material of multiplication of whole numbers. The research method used is classroom action research (CAR) which consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection in each cycle. The subjects of this study are third-grade students of SDN 1 Sukamanah, totaling 23 students, consisting of 10 female students and 13 male students. Data collection methods include observation, evaluation sheets, LKPD (student worksheets), and documentation. Based on the analysis of data in cycle I, the average understanding of students' concepts is 65.22%, which falls into the moderate category, and in cycle II, the average understanding of students' concepts is 91.30%, which falls into the very good category. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model can improve students' understanding of concepts in the material of multiplication of whole numbers.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning motivation of fifth grade students of SDN 1 Sukamanah in learning mathematics on the material of flat shapes (squares, rectangles, and triangles) by applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were 23 fifth grade students of SDN 1 Sukamanah consisting of 12 female students and 11 male students. Data collection methods through observation, questionnaires, and documentation. Based on the results of data analysis in cycle I, the average student learning motivation was 64.5%, including the moderate category, and in cycle II the average student learning motivation was 87.4%, including the very high category. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model can improve student learning motivation on the material of flat shapes (squares, rectangles, and triangles).

Abstract

ABSTRACT Science learning at elementary school level needs to be designed contextually and fun so that students can understand the concept more deeply. However, in reality, there are still obstacles where students have difficulty in understanding symbiosis material because the learning approach is too theorical and does not involve students actively. This study examines the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model combined with the role-playing method in learning symbiosis material for 3rd grade elementary school students. The purpose of this study is to describe how the combination of PBL and role-playing can be applied in symbiosis learning to improve students understanding of concepts and active participation. The study was conducted on 25 students in 3rd grade at a public elementary school, with data collection techniques through observation and learning outcome test. The result show that the application of the PBL model combined with the role-playing method can help students understand the types of symbiosis more realistically through the roles of living things played. In addition, this approach also has a positive impact on increasing students enthusiasm for learning, cooperation, and critical thinking skills. Thus, the combination of the PBL model and role-playing is effective in improving the quality of science learning In elementary school.
