Abstract

Scientific research is a systematic process designed to answer research questions through structured methodological steps. The foundation of scientific research consists of four main elements: research problem, research objectives, hypothesis, and data analysis methods. This study aims to examine the conceptual relationships among these four elements and their impact on research quality. The method used is a literature review with a descriptive-analytical approach. Data were collected from various academic sources such as journals, books, and scientific publications related to scientific research. The results indicate that the conceptual relationship between the research problem, research objectives, hypothesis, and data analysis methods is a crucial basis for building a logical and focused research framework. A clear research problem guides the formulation of specific research objectives, which then form the foundation for developing testable hypotheses. The choice of data analysis methods is based on the type of data and proposed hypotheses, ensuring alignment between the analysis methods and the research focus. By understanding these interconnections, researchers can improve the quality of their studies and strengthen the validity and reliability of their results. This study is expected to serve as a reference for researchers in designing a more solid and structured foundation for scientific research.

Abstract

Kajian literatur kritis ini mengkaji keterkaitan kompleks antara globalisasi, kebijakan pendidikan, dan reformasi kebijakan dalam konteks negara berkembang. Globalisasi telah membentuk ulang lanskap kebijakan pendidikan menjadi ruang yang sangat dipengaruhi oleh aktor transnasional seperti OECD, UNESCO, dan World Bank, serta ideologi neoliberalisme yang menekankan efisiensi, akuntabilitas, dan standarisasi. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif kritis yang berlandaskan teori sistem dunia, teori transfer kebijakan, dan sosiologi kebijakan kritis untuk menganalisis bagaimana kekuatan global memengaruhi reformasi pendidikan nasional. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa kebijakan pendidikan seringkali diadopsi dari model global tanpa adaptasi kontekstual yang memadai, sehingga menimbulkan kesenjangan pelaksanaan, resistensi, dan kehilangan relevansi budaya. Meskipun tolok ukur internasional dan jaringan kebijakan mendorong reformasi, realitas dan nilai lokal sering terpinggirkan. Namun demikian, kajian menemukan contoh glokalisasi, di mana negara mengadaptasi kerangka global dengan kearifan lokal untuk mempertahankan kedaulatan pendidikan. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa reformasi pendidikan yang berhasil memerlukan keseimbangan antara responsivitas global dan akar lokal, didorong oleh refleksi kritis, tata kelola partisipatif, dan nilai keadilan sosial. Kajian ini menekankan pentingnya peningkatan kapasitas pembuat kebijakan di Selatan Global untuk tidak hanya menjadi pengadopsi pasif kebijakan, tetapi pelaku transformasi kebijakan yang memprioritaskan kesetaraan dan relevansi kontekstual.

Abstract

The main issue addressed in this study is how students' learning outcomes in the IPAS subject are affected after the implementation of pop-up book learning media. This research is a type of pre-experimental study using a pre-test and post-test group design, aimed at determining students' learning outcomes following the use of pop-up book media. The population of this study consisted of all fourth-grade students at SDN No. 3 Tinambung, with a sample of 22 students. The research was conducted over five sessions, focusing on the topic of energy transformation. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques. The results showed that the average pre-test score was 56.73, while the average post-test score was 83.09. Furthermore, the N-Gain analysis indicated a normalized gain of 0.63, which falls into the moderate category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of pop-up book media led to an improvement in students' learning outcomes in the IPAS subject on the topic of energy transformation in Grade IV at SDN No. 3 Tinambung.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of second-grade elementary school students on the topic of diversity through the application of Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) combined with a Sumateran culture-based pop-up book. This is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, including planning, action, observation, and reflection phases. Data were collected through observation, learning outcome tests, and documentation. The results showed that CRT enhances the relevance of learning by connecting with students' cultural backgrounds, thereby increasing motivation, participation, and conceptual understanding of diversity. In the first cycle, the students' average score rose to 80.96 with a mastery rate of 60.71%. After refinement in the second cycle, the average score reached 93.04 with a 100% mastery rate. These findings indicate that integrating local cultural values through contextual and interactive media such as pop-up books can strengthen students' understanding of tolerance and diversity, while also fostering an inclusive and meaningful learning environment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar peserta didik dalam mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) di kelas IV SD Negeri 04 Sarilamak, Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik melalui penerapan model Inquiry Learning. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif, yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah guru dan 24 peserta didik kelas IV. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, tes, dan non tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan. Modul ajar meningkat dari 81,5% (Baik) pada siklus I menjadi 96% (Sangat Baik) pada siklus II. Aktivitas guru meningkat dari 81,5% menjadi 96%, dan aktivitas peserta didik dari 79,5% (Cukup) menjadi 93% (Sangat Baik). Nilai hasil belajar juga mengalami peningkatan, dari rata-rata 77,5 (Cukup) menjadi 93 (Sangat Baik). Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Inquiry Learning efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran IPAS di kelas IV SD Negeri 04 Sarilamak

Abstract

The background of this research is the low skills of students in learning so that they do not develop the potential and skills possessed by students, especially the critical thinking skills of Class VI elementary school students. The purpose of this research is to improve the critical thinking skills of grade VI elementary school students. One type of learning that can meet student learning needs by paying attention to student readiness, interests and learning profiles is Differentiated Learning. Therefore it is necessary to improve science learning through the application of Differentiated learning. This research method is descriptive qualitative using classroom action research carried out in two cycles consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The data collection tool uses observation sheets and test questions. The results of the study show that the application of differentiated learning can improve students' critical thinking skills. This can be seen from the category of student skills in cycle I meeting 1 good category 30% and meeting two 60% then increasing in cycle II meeting 1 which is 80% and increasing 95% in meeting II. Based on the results of the analysis on the actions of cycles I and II, it can be seen that there is an increase in students' critical thinking skills from the actions of cycle I, namely 40% in the good category increasing to 87.5% in cycle II.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon that occurs in adolescents in Panggautan Natal Village, there are adolescents who feel unattractive and disliked by people around them, have difficulty communicating or listening to others and lack of open-mindedness. This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of adolescent self-concept on interpersonal communication in families in Panggautan Natal Village, Natal District, Mandailing Natal Regency and how big the influence is. This study uses a quantitative approach with an associative type. The population in this study were all adolescents in Panggautan Natal Village, totaling 145 people. The instruments used in this study were the Adolescent Self-Concept measurement scale and the Interpersonal Communication measurement scale. Data analysis used to test the research hypothesis was simple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that there is no influence of the Adolescent Self-Concept variable (X) on Interpersonal Communication (Y) of 2.1%, with this value the F_count value (1.209) < F_table (4.001) and the regression coefficient for the Adolescent Self-Concept variable is 0.036 which indicates that every 1 point increase in the Adolescent Self-Concept variable will increase the Interpersonal Communication value by 0.036.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan memahami isi bacaan pada mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia pada peserta didik kelas V di SDN 18 Kampung Durian Kota Padang. Model pembelajaran CIRC dipilih karena mengintegrasikan kegiatan membaca dan menulis secara kooperatif, yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik terhadap bacaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus yang masing-masing terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas V SDN 18 Kampung Durian Kota Padang, yang berjumlah 25 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi tes membaca pemahaman, lembar observasi modul ajar, aktivitas peserta didik dan guru. Data dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan membaca pemahaman dan keterlibatan peserta didik dalam pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian pada siklus I meraih rertata 71,50 selanjutnya hasil penilaian meningkat pada siklus II yaitu 83,50 yang menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model CIRC mampu meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman peserta didik. Aktivitas belajar mengalami peningkatan yang ditunjukkan oleh hasil pengamatan aktivitas peserta didik pada siklus I meraih rerata 84,42 dengan kualifikasi baik (B). Selanjutnya hasil penilaian meningkat pada siklus II yaitu 92,85 dengan kualifikasi sangat baik (A). Hasil pengamatan pada aktivitas guru siklus I meraih rerata 85,71 dengan kualifikasi baik (B), kemudian mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II meraih nilai 100 dengan kualifikasi sangat baik (A). Dengan demikian, model CIRC efektif digunakan sebagai salah satu strategi pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman peserta didik di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes and student engagement of tenth-grade students at SMA Negeri 13 Medan through the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by digital media. This Classroom Action Research (CAR) was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action implementation, observation, evaluation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 36 tenth-grade students, with variables focusing on student engagement and learning outcomes. Engagement data were collected using observation sheets filled out by the cooperating teacher, while learning outcomes were measured through evaluation tests. The results showed a significant increase in both student engagement and learning outcomes. The mastery percentage increased from 47.22% in the pre-cycle to 91.67% in the second cycle, and average student engagement rose from 83.77% in cycle I to 93.06% in cycle II. These findings indicate that the implementation of PBL assisted by digital media is effective in enhancing the quality of Indonesian language learning for tenth-grade students. This study recommends the use of this learning model as an alternative strategy that fosters an active, enjoyable, and meaningful learning environment.

Abstract

The improvement of cognitive learning outcomes can be influenced by several factors, one of which is the use of audio-visual media. This study aims to determine the differences in cognitive learning outcomes of students who are subject to the use of audio-visual media and students who are not subject to the use of audio-visual media, as well as to determine the influence of the use of audio-visual media on improving cognitive learning outcomes of students. This research is a Quasi-Experimental study. This research was carried out at SD Pertiwi in grade IV with a population of 66 students. The sampling technique used is a nonequivalent control group design with class IV A (control class) as many as 25 students and class IV B (experimental class) as many as 25 students. The data collection technique used is a test. The tests used are in the form of pretests and posttests to take data on cognitive learning outcomes. Data management techniques are carried out using normality tests, homogeneity tests, independent sample t test, and simple linear regression test. The results of this study show that: 1) There are differences in cognitive learning outcomes between students who use audio-visual media and students who do not use audio visual media based on the results of the independent sample t test obtained a Sig. value (2-tailed) of 0.226 > 0.05. 2) There was a significant influence of the use of audio-visual media on improving the cognitive learning outcomes of students based on the results of the simple linear regression test obtained a calculated t value of 2.432 > t table 2.069 which means that Ho was rejected and H???? was accepted.
