Abstract

This study is grounded in the urgency of implementing multicultural education within the learning process as a response to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity in educational settings. The objective of this research is to analyze effective learning strategies in internalizing multicultural values in schools. The research employs a qualitative approach through library research by reviewing relevant scholarly literature. The findings indicate that multicultural education is oriented toward fostering tolerance, appreciation of plurality, and the development of civilized student character. The implementation of learning strategies such as discussion, simulation, role-playing, cooperative learning, value analysis, and social analysis has proven effective in encouraging active student participation and enhancing awareness of diversity. Furthermore, teachers play a crucial role in establishing a democratic, inclusive, and non-discriminatory learning environment. The selection of instructional strategies should consider learning objectives, student characteristics, and the socio-cultural context. The study concludes that the appropriate implementation of multicultural learning strategies can improve the quality of the learning process and cultivate students who demonstrate empathy, tolerance, and respect for diversity. It is therefore recommended that educators continuously enhance their professional competencies in applying multicultural-based learning strategies.

Abstract

The change in religious social behavior is one of the most intriguing social phenomena to study within the context of a religious community. In Pasaman Barat, the zikr practice performed by the congregation of the Naqshbandiyah Order at Surau Baiturrahman Lubuak Landua has a significant influence on shaping character and religious social behavior. This study aims to examine how zikr practices within the Naqshbandiyah Order contribute to the transformation of the congregation’s religious social behavior and to analyze it through the perspective of Max Weber’s theory of social action. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The informants consisted of the mursyid, khalifah, and members of the Naqshbandiyah congregation. Data were analyzed through stages of data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, with data validity ensured through source and method triangulation. The findings reveal that collective zikr activities play a vital role in fostering discipline, patience, sincerity, and social awareness among the congregation. From Max Weber’s perspective, the congregants’ behavior reflects four types of social action: value-rational, instrumental-rational, traditional, and affective actions. Among these, value-rational action is the most dominant, as zikr is performed with spiritual awareness as an expression of devotion to Allah SWT. Thus, the Naqshbandiyah Order plays an essential role in shaping religious, harmonious, and socially conscious behavior within the Lubuak Landua community.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of school cooperatives in shaping students’ character, identify the values developed, and examine the strategies used to instill these values. This research uses a library research method by reviewing relevant literature. The results show that school cooperatives function as contextual learning media that support experiential learning. Through active participation, students develop values such as honesty, responsibility, discipline, independence, cooperation, and entrepreneurship. The strategies include student involvement in organizational structures, practical economic activities, democratic decision-making, and continuous guidance. In addition, integrating cooperative activities into school culture strengthens character internalization. Therefore, school cooperatives can serve as an effective and sustainable medium for character education.

Abstract

Corrosion is one of the primary causes of failure in ship piping systems, particularly on butterfly valves, which play a critical role in the loading and discharging operations of liquid cargo. This study aims to analyze the causes of corrosion on butterfly valves and its impact on the operational performance of the cargo discharge system aboard the MT.Adria. dopts a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through field observations, interviews with crew members, and documentation. The findings show that valve damage is caused by a combination of harsh marine environmental conditions, inappropriate material selection that leads to galvanic corrosion, and inadequate maintenance procedures. This corrosion results in valve malfunction, system leakage, and delays in cargo discharge operations. Using a fishbone diagram analysis, the study identifies three main contributing factors: valve material, operational environment, and inspection and maintenance practices. The findings highlight that a small component failure, such as a valve, can significantly affect the overall efficiency and safety of ship operations. The study recommends implementing risk-based preventive maintenance, selecting corrosion-resistant valve materials suitable for marine environments, and conducting routine inspections to enhance the reliability of the cargo discharge system on tankers.

Abstract

This study aims to improve early childhood’s ability to recognize number symbols through picture number card games at TK Methodist El-Shadday Perbaungan. The research used Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles involving 13 children in group A. Data were collected through observation and documentation using observation checklists. The results showed a significant increase in children’s ability to recognize number symbols after implementing the picture number card game. The percentage of children reaching the “very good” category increased to 86.86% in the second cycle. Thus, picture number card games effectively enhance number symbol recognition skills in early childhood.

Abstract

The development of the globalization era has negatively impacted students character, therefore, character education is a crucial aspect that must be integrated into the learning process. One subject that plays a strategic role in instilling character values is pancasila education. This study aims to analyze the implementation of character education, as well as the obstacles and solutions in implementing character education in pancasila education. The method used is a Literatur Study by reviewing 14 national journal articles indexed by SINTA and 2 relevant reference books. The results of the study indicate that pancasila education in effective in shaping the character of elementary school students. However, several obstacles to implementing character education in elementary school exist, including the diversity of students abilities in understanding the material, limited learning media, and lack of communication between teachers and parents. Therefore, a more effective learning approach and family support are needed to ensure the successful and sustainable implementation of character education in pancasila education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of a training program designed to enhance human resource competencies and organizational performance. The analysis focuses on the stages of preparation, execution, evaluation, as well as monitoring and supervision within the training management cycle. A qualitative approach was employed, utilizing observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The findings indicate that the training implementation began with a systematic identification of competency gaps, followed by program design based on Training Need Analysis (TNA) and Developmental Need Analysis (DNA). The implementation phase was carried out in a structured manner through a combination of lectures, discussions, and practical sessions accompanied by intensive mentoring. Evaluation activities were conducted to measure the effectiveness of the program in improving participants’ skills, while continuous monitoring ensured alignment with organizational standards and objectives. Although several technical challenges and limitations in internal trainer availability were identified, the overall training program contributed positively to competency development and supported the achievement of organizational strategic goals.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman konsep siswa terhadap materi penjumlahan dan pengurangan, kurangnya pemanfaatan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi, serta pembelajaran yang masih bersifat konvensional sehingga siswa kurang fokus dan kurang tertarik mengikuti pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan video animasi yang valid dan praktis serta berpotensi meningkatkan pemahaman konsep peserta didik pada materi operasi penjumlahan dan pengurangan. Jenis penelitian ini yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan menggunakan model 4D (Define, Design Development dan Disseminate). Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas II SD Negeri 8 Parittiga. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan angket, sedangkan analisis data meliputi kevalidan dan kepraktisan media. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran video animasi memenuhi kriteria valid. Validasi oleh ahli media memperoleh skor 98% (kategori sangat valid) dan ahli materi sebesar 73% (kategori valid). Penilaian kepraktisan oleh guru sebesar 98%, respon peserta didik sebesar 93% pada uji coba kelompok kecil dan 97% pada uji coba kelompok besar (kategori sangat praktis). Dengan demikian, media video animasi terbukti valid dan praktis, serta berpotensi meningkatkan pemahaman konsep peserta didik pada materi operasi penjumlahan dan pengurangan.

Abstract

Amidst demands to strengthen students' entrepreneurial character, school cooperatives should be a strategic space that generates not only economic value but also educational value. However, the reality on the ground shows that many school cooperatives are still managed conventionally, lack innovation, and have not optimally utilized the role of leadership. As a result, the cooperative's contribution to improving the school economy and student learning tends to stagnate. This study aims to analyze the role of diversified school cooperative management based on transformational leadership in enhancing economic and educational value. The study focuses on how a variety of innovative business units can be developed through leadership that inspires, motivates, and encourages the active participation of all cooperative members. The methodology used was library research, reviewing various sources such as books, scientific journals, and relevant previous research. The analysis was conducted using descriptive qualitative methods to gain a comprehensive understanding of the concept and its implementation. The results of the study indicate that diversified cooperative management, through the development of diverse and adaptive business units, can increase revenue and expand economic opportunities. Furthermore, transformational leadership plays a crucial role in fostering creativity, increasing student engagement, and building a culture of innovation. Thus, the integration of both is effective in strengthening the economic function while making cooperatives a meaningful learning tool.

Abstract

Abstract This research is based on the phenomenon that exists in SMP Negeri 1 Timpeh, which shows that students are indicated to have low social skills, namely, it can be seen from the lack of courage of students to express opinions, work on questions in front of the class and ask teachers related to lesson materials and difficulties in controlling anger, students are less active during discussions, there are individualistic students, and group counseling services have not been implemented using bibliocounseling techniques to improve students' social skills, one of the guidance and counseling services is carried out, namely group counseling services using bibliocounseling techniques which aim to determine the effect of group counseling services using bibliocounseling techniques on students' social skills at SMP Negeri 1 Timpeh.This study uses a quantitative approach with the type of Pre Experiment Design, with the One Group Pretest and Posttest model. The population in this study amounted to 71 students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Timpeh. The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling, the sample of this study was 8 students. The instrument used in this study was a social skills questionnaire developed by the author. Data analysis in this study used the Wilcoxon renk test with the help of SPSS version 26. The results of the study processed using the Wilcoxon test showed that the Asymp sig 2-tailed value was obtained at 0.012 which means it is smaller than 0.05. So it can be concluded that group counseling services using bibliocounseling techniques have an effect on students' social skills at SMP N 1 Timpeh
