Abstract

Learning plans in lesson plans (RPP) still tend to be oriented towards lower-order thinking skills and do not fully support in-depth learning, which requires the development of critical, analytical, and contextual thinking skills. This study aims to analyze the quality of Indonesian Language Lesson Plans (RPP) from a deep learning perspective. The underlying problem is the persistence of low-order thinking skills-oriented learning plans that do not fully support the development of higher-order thinking skills. Therefore, this study analyzes the suitability between learning objectives and learning activities based on the concepts of Lower Order Thinking Skills (LOTS), Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), and the principles of deep learning. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a document analysis method. The data source is an Indonesian Language teaching module in advertising materials, specifically the components of learning objectives and activities. Data collection techniques are carried out through document studies, while data analysis uses content analysis based on the revised Bloom's Taxonomy (C1–C6). The results show that learning objectives are still dominated by levels C1 (remembering) and C2 (understanding), which are included in LOTS. Learning activities are also mostly at the understanding level and have not optimally encouraged analytical, evaluation, and creative skills. Despite discussions and presentations, their implementation has not yet developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Furthermore, learning has not been explicitly linked to real-world contexts, resulting in surface learning. Therefore, developing learning plans that are more oriented toward HOTS (Hospital Values) and deep learning principles is necessary to make learning more meaningful and effective.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of an inquiry-based learning model integrated with the STEAM approach on the IPAS learning outcomes of fifth-grade elementary students. The research was motivated by low student achievement due to teacher-centered instruction and limited student participation. A quantitative method with a pre-experimental one group pretest–posttest design was employed. The participants were 20 fifth-grade students of SDN 9 Tanjung Arak selected through saturated sampling. Data were collected using a validated and reliable learning outcomes test. Statistical analysis included normality testing, paired sample t-test, and N-Gain analysis. The findings revealed a significant improvement in student performance after the implementation of the inquiry-based STEAM model. The average score increased from 49.5 in the pretest to 69.75 in the posttest. The hypothesis test showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a meaningful difference between pretest and posttest results. Thus, the model effectively enhances students’ learning outcomes and serves as an innovative instructional alternative.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of Islamic Education Management learning in shaping the managerial competencies of students in the Islamic Education Management study program, covering planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling functions. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects were 25 fifth-semester students who had completed core courses in Islamic Education Management. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews with students and lecturers, and documentation of learning devices. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model, with source and method triangulation used to ensure data validity. The findings revealed three main points. First, the current design of Islamic Education Management learning is dominated by interactive lectures (30%), case discussions (30%), and field project assignments (40%). Second, the most effective methods for developing students' managerial competencies were project-based learning and real-case studies from Islamic educational institutions. Third, the main obstacles included limited access to field simulations, a lack of lecturers with practitioner backgrounds in management, and the still-normative integration of Islamic values into each management function. This study offers a new perspective on the necessity of reconstructing Islamic Education Management learning from a theoretical approach toward a contextual-collaborative one, emphasizing the development of managerial competencies grounded in Islamic ethics.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the suboptimal learning outcomes of Package B students at SPNF SKB Kabupaten Lahat, as indicated by an average score of 78.6. The main problem addressed is whether tutor competence influences students’ learning outcomes. This research aims to determine the extent of the influence of tutor competence, which includes pedagogical, personal, social, and professional competencies, on the learning outcomes of Package B students. This study employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. The population consisted of 98 students, all of whom were selected as the sample using a total sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires, observation, and documentation. The research instrument was tested for validity and reliability, with all items declared valid and a Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.963, indicating high reliability. Data analysis was conducted using percentage analysis and simple linear regression to test the hypothesis. The results showed that tutor competence was generally in the “fairly good” category across all aspects, particularly pedagogical competence with a percentage of 57.9%. Statistical testing revealed that tutor competence has a positive and significant effect on students’ learning outcomes. This indicates that higher tutor competence leads to improved learning outcomes among Package B students. In conclusion, tutor competence is an important factor influencing the success of learning in nonformal education. Therefore, efforts to improve tutor competence are necessary to enhance students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study examines critical reflections and case study analyses of policy implementation within the Indonesian education system, focusing on persistent challenges such as policy inconsistency, unequal access to quality education, and gaps between policy design and field execution. The objective of this research is to analyze the effectiveness of selected educational policies and to formulate strategic recommendations for improvement. This study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review and case study method, drawing on recent scholarly sources, government reports, and documented educational practices. The findings indicate that many policies, although conceptually progressive, face significant obstacles in implementation due to limited resources, inadequate teacher training, and weak monitoring systems. Furthermore, disparities between urban and rural educational contexts exacerbate the issue. The study concludes that strengthening policy coherence, improving stakeholder collaboration, and enhancing capacity-building initiatives are essential to achieving sustainable educational reform. These findings provide actionable recommendations aimed at improving policy effectiveness and ensuring equitable education outcomes across Indonesia

Abstract

The research was developed to produce interactive PBL-based learning video media for the science subject aimed at increasing the learning motivation of fourth-grade elementary school students. The main problem is the low learning motivation of students and the suboptimal use of innovative learning media. The development was carried out using the ADDIE model. The research subjects included media experts, material experts, teachers, and fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 1 Penarukan. The assessment results showed that the media had a very high level of feasibility, with validation of 98% from media experts and 96% from material experts. In terms of practicality, the media also received very good responses, namely 97% from teachers and 98% from students. In addition, the results of the effectiveness test showed a significant increase in learning motivation with a Sig. value of 0.000 <0.05. Based on these findings, the developed media can be declared feasible, practical, and effective for use in the learning process. Penelitian dikembangkan untuk menghasilkan media video pembelajaran interaktif berbasis PBL pada mata pelajaran IPAS yang ditujukan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar. Permasalahan utama yang adalah rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa serta belum optimalnya pemanfaatan media pembelajaran yang inovatif. Pengembangan dilakukan dengan menggunakan model ADDIE. Subjek penelitian meliputi ahli media, ahli materi, guru, serta siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 1 Penarukan. Hasil penilaian menunjukkan bahwa media memiliki tingkat kelayakan yang sangat tinggi, dengan validasi sebesar 98% dari ahli media dan 96% dari ahli materi. Dari sisi kepraktisan, media juga memperoleh respon sangat baik, yaitu 97% dari guru dan 98% dari siswa. Selain itu, hasil uji efektivitas memperlihatkan adanya peningkatan motivasi belajar yang signifikan dengan nilai Sig. 0,000 < 0,05. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, media yang dikembangkan dapat dinyatakan layak, praktis, dan efektif digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar IPAS siswa kelas III yang disebabkan oleh penggunaan model pembelajaran yang masih berpusat pada guru sehingga siswa kurang aktif dan mudah bosan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Children's Learning in Science (CLIS) terhadap hasil belajar IPAS siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis quasi eksperimen dan desain non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 29 siswa yang terdiri dari kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes dan dokumentasi. Analisis data diawali dengan uji normalitas dan homogenitas, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji hipotesis menggunakan Independent Samples T-Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Rata-rata nilai siswa pada kelas kontrol sebesar 65,36, sedangkan pada kelas eksperimen meningkat menjadi 87,67. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kedua kelas. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe CLIS berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar IPAS siswa kelas III pada materi perubahan bentuk energi di SDK St. Yoseph 4 Naikoten Kota Kupang.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students’ speaking skills through the implementation of the Show and Tell method on procedural text material in the fourth grade of SD Negeri Neusok Teubalui. This research employed a qualitative approach with a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 23 students. Data were collected through observation and oral tests, and analyzed using descriptive quatitative techniques. The results showed an improvement in students’ speaking skills from cycle I to cycle II. In cycle I, the average score was 72.8 with a learning completeness percentage of 60.8%. In cycle II, the average score increased to 80.3 with a completeness percentage of 86.9%. In addition, both student and teacher activities improved to a very good category in cycle II. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the Show and Tell method is effective in improving students’ speaking skills on procedural text material.

Abstract

This study aims to examine first language acquisition and its relationship with brain activity in lower-grade elementary school students. The research employed a literature study method by reviewing various scientific sources, including books, journals, and previous research findings relevant to the topic. Data were analyzed using content analysis techniques through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that first language acquisition in lower-grade elementary students is still in a developmental stage, characterized by vocabulary expansion, improved understanding of language structures, and enhanced communication skills. This process is strongly influenced by brain activity, particularly in areas responsible for language comprehension and production. Moreover, brain plasticity at this age allows children to acquire language more effectively through appropriate environmental stimulation. Environmental factors such as social interaction, teachers’ roles, and instructional methods also significantly contribute to students’ language development. In conclusion, first language acquisition and brain activity are closely related and mutually influential. The findings imply the importance of interactive and brain-based language learning in elementary education. Keywords: first language acquisition, brain activity, elementary students, neurolinguistics

Abstract

This study aims to examine the nature, dimensions, factors, and types of curriculum organization in the context of education, particularly Islamic Religious Education (IRE). Curriculum organization is understood as the pattern or design of curriculum components including objectives, content, learning experiences, and assessment to achieve educational goals effectively and efficiently. This study employs a qualitative approach using the library research method, through the collection and analysis of various relevant literature. The findings indicate that curriculum organization has two main dimensions: the content dimension and the learning experience dimension, and is influenced by factors such as scope, sequence, continuity, integration, balance, and time. In addition, there are several models of curriculum organization, such as the subject-centered curriculum, the correlated curriculum, the broad-field curriculum, the integrated curriculum, and the core curriculum. Each model has its own characteristics, strengths, and weaknesses. By comprehensively understanding curriculum organization, educational institutions can design learning systems that are more focused, relevant, and adaptable to the changing times.
