Abstract

This research analyzes the relationship between the number of journal volumes, Article Processing Charge (APC), journal names, and the number of citations on the Sinta, Dimensions, and Scopus indexes. This research method uses a descriptive approach, starting with collecting journals in economics, finance, and Islamic business, which DOAJ indexes on the Sinta portal. Then, each journal was mapped based on the number of volumes, APC, and journal name against the number of citations on the Sinta, Dimensions, and Scopus indexes. The analysis results show that journals with more than 10 volumes tend to have a higher average citation in Sinta and Dimensions compared to journals with 6-10 volumes or less than 5 volumes. However, the influence of the number of volumes on citations in Scopus is inconsistent, with several journals having less than 5 volumes but having the highest citations. In addition, Article Processing Charge (APC) also influence the number of citations, but not all journals with high APCs show a high number of citations. Free journals also have the potential to get high citations. Using English in journal names positively impacts the number of citations because it increases international accessibility, reputation, and global influence. Researchers and publishers can consider these findings in designing strategies to increase the visibility and impact of their journals.

Abstract

Biomaterials are materials that interact with living tissues for the purpose of treating and replacing tissues either temporarily or permanently. Biomaterials can be developed from hydroxyapatite-based materials. The source of calcium for the manufacture of hydroxyapatite is obtained from oyster shell waste (Crassostrea gigas) from the waters of Alue Naga Banda Aceh. The purpose of this study was to examine the opportunity to utilize oyster shell waste as a source of calcium for hydroxyapatite synthesis. The hydroxyapatite synthesis process was carried out by calcining oyster shells at a temperature of 10000C for 5 hours to obtain calcium oxide (CaO) content. Then, the CaO powder was reacted with phosphoric acid (H3PO4) to obtain hydroxyapatite compound (Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2) and then sintered at 900C for 2 hours. Analysis of CaO and hydroxyapatite phases was carried out through XRD (X-Ray Diffraction) characterization results. Surface morphology and element content were obtained from SEM-EDS characterization. Based on the analysis, CaO and hydroxyapatite phases have been successfully formed and the surface morphology of hydroxyapatite crystal structure is not clearly visible because of the formation of agglomeration. Based on the elemental content test, the ideal Ca/P ratio has not been obtained. Based on the results of the research, oyster shell waste (Crassostrea gigas) from the waters of Alue Naga, in Syiah Kuala District, Banda Aceh City has the opportunity to be utilized as a source of calcium in hydroxyapatite synthesis and can be developed as a biomaterial.

Abstract

The Aceh Province, recognized as one of the world's finest coffee producers, is also known as the "Land of 1001 Coffee Shops," reflecting its deeply rooted coffee-drinking culture. In Banda Aceh, the growth of coffee shops has increasingly concentrated in the city center, driven by a shift in young people's preferences for public social spaces. Coffee shop locations play a dual role as commercial facilities and public spaces, emphasizing their significance in connecting activities within specific zoning and spatial functions. This study aimed to identify the distribution pattern of coffee shop locations in the Kuta Alam subdistrict, designated in Banda Aceh’s Detailed Spatial Plan for trade, services, residential, and public service zones. Data collection involved identifying 109 coffee shop locations. The analysis employed quantitative and spatial methods. The findings revealed that the spatial distribution of coffee shops in Kuta Alam predominantly occurs along local roads, with clustering along secondary arterial roads and the least presence on primary arterial roads. Most coffee shops are located near residential areas, regardless of road classifications. All coffee shops in Kuta Alam exhibit clustered spatial distribution (average nearest neighbor index below 1) clustering occurs in areas like Bandar Baru and Peunayong and along roads such as Syiah Kuala.

Abstract

The research aims to analyze current presidential and vice presidential election systems, and has not yet been able to establish representative coexists, nor can it identify other models in the presidential election and vice president elections that could produce constitutional representation. This study is a normative-law study with a prescriptive nature. The approach used in the study is the approach to the legislation (conceptual approach), the conceptual approach (approach approach) and the comparative approach (approach), with a study of legal materials through library research). The study suggests that a hybrid election system, combining nominations by political parties and independent candidates, could better reflect the people's will and align with Constitutional principles. Such a system is more consistent with Modern Democracy, potentially leading to leaders with greater accountability and integrity. To address these issues, the author recommends implementing a hybrid system for the election of the President and Vice President to better realize constitutional representation. Additionally, there is a need to reconstruct the nomination process for presidential candidates in Indonesia to ensure a more representative and democratic election process. By adopting these changes, Indonesia can better align its presidential election system with democratic values and constitutional mandates.
