Abstract

Arabic language education for students with intellectual disabilities (ABK tunagrahita) in inclusive madrassas requires adaptive methods, effective media, and cross-stakeholder collaboration to achieve optimal outcomes. This study aims to analyze effective teaching methods, challenges faced by teachers, and the collaboration between teachers, parents, and therapists in teaching Arabic to ABK. Using a qualitative approach through literature reviews, the study found that individualization, multisensory, and demonstration methods are key to successful learning. Media such as flashcards, digital applications, and concrete objects help students grasp abstract concepts like Arabic letters. Major challenges faced by teachers include limited resources, insufficient specialized training, and communication barriers with students. However, effective collaboration among teachers, parents, and therapists enhances learning consistency and creates a supportive environment tailored to the individual needs of students. This study contributes to the development of inclusive Islamic education, particularly for students with intellectual disabilities.

Abstract

Speaking skill is one of the important stages in Arabic language learning which is influenced by students' psychological readiness and vocabulary understanding. This study aims to reveal the relationship between self-confidence, vocabulary understanding, and students' speaking skills. The research used quantitative method with correlation study approach, using Pearson Product Moment data analysis. The research subjects were ninth grade students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Pondok Pesantren Al-Zaytun, with a sample of 231 students taken using the Slovin formula. Data were collected through a self-confidence questionnaire, vocabulary comprehension test, and speaking skill test. The analysis results showed a significant positive relationship between self-confidence (r = 0.411) and vocabulary comprehension (r = 0.251) to speaking skills. These two variables together contributed greatly to the development of students' speaking skills in Arabic. The findings suggest that self-confidence and vocabulary comprehension can be important indicators in improving students' speaking skills, as well as a basis for the development of more effective Arabic language learning methods.

Abstract

Islamic education in the 2nd century Hijriyah played a crucial role in shaping the sustainable Islamic educational system that continues to this day. During this period, prominent Muslim scholars such as Abu Hanifah, Malik bin Anas, and Al-Shafi’i formulated educational concepts based on the Qur'an and Sunnah, which later developed in educational institutions such as halaqah and early madrasas. This study aims to analyze the relevance of Islamic educational theories from the 2nd century Hijriyah in the development of contemporary education systems. Using a qualitative approach based on literature studies, this research examines the educational principles applied in that era and their contributions to modern learning systems. The findings indicate that key principles, such as value-based education, interactive discussion methods, and the integration of religious and secular sciences, remain relevant to contemporary educational challenges. This article contributes by linking the history of Islamic educational thought with the demands of a more holistic and value-based modern education system.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the concept of social interaction in education based on the thoughts of Sheikh Az Zarnuji in the book of Ta'lim Muta'allim. The main focus is on describing the ideal form of interaction between teachers and students, as well as between students. The method used was a literature study, which involved selecting relevant sources, in-depth reading, critical analysis of the content and identification of appropriate solutions. The collected data was then grouped thematically to facilitate the writing process. Humans are social creatures by nature, and regular interactions help socialize individuals to meet needs, overcome life's challenges and build reciprocal relationships. Positive interactions between teachers and students enhance educational goals, allowing learners to feel valued, motivated and engaged in the educational process. Islam emphasizes the importance of positive social interaction and behavior, suggesting that friendship and social engagement are essential for personal social and moral growth.Through social interaction, individuals learn to distinguish right from wrong and develop social and moral values. Education serves as the basis for instilling social values, influencing social behavior and the future of individuals. The Ta'lim Muta'allim emphasizes the importance of adab (etiquette) in education and daily life, highlighting respectful interactions between students and teachers. It remains relevant as it provides guidance on ethical behavior, respectful communication, and positive social interaction, ultimately aiming to create a whole individual with integrity and responsibility. With a focus on manners, collaborative learning, and effective communication, social interactions can foster a harmonious educational environment and aid in the development of student character and leadership.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze the moral values in the film "Chalk N Duster" by Jayant Gilatar and to examine its relevance for teaching argumentation to students. This research adopts a qualitative approach with a focus on library studies. The data analysis method is based on content analysis techniques integrated with semiotic theory. The semiotic analysis procedure specifically emphasizes two stages: the denotative and connotative meanings that emerge in the film's dialogues. The results of this study indicate that there are four forms of moral values: the moral value of courage, the moral value of generosity, the moral value of honesty, and the moral value of loyalty to the family. The moral values in the film "Chalk N Duster" can be used as a discussion material to train students in developing argumentation skills. By discussing the moral values in the film, students can learn to express opinions, defend positions, and understand other people's perspectives. This will enhance critical thinking and foster empathy and collaboration among peers.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the concept of ethics and morality in Islam that can be applied in the education bureaucracy, identify the challenges faced in the application of Islamic ethics and morality in the education bureaucracy, and offer strategies for implementing Islamic values to create a more transparent, fair, and quality-oriented system. This research uses a library research method with a narrative review approach. Data were obtained through literature analysis from various relevant academic sources in the last 10 years. The analysis technique used is thematic analysis to identify patterns and main themes related to Islamic ethics and morality in the education bureaucracy. The results show that the application of Islamic values, such as honesty (shidq), trustworthiness, justice and ihsan, can improve effectiveness and transparency in the education bureaucracy. However, its implementation faces various challenges, including corruption, lack of transparency, low ethical awareness among education bureaucrats, and weak Islamic values-based regulations. To overcome these obstacles, strategies that can be implemented include Islamic ethics education and training for bureaucrats, strengthening regulations, improving technology-based monitoring systems, and exemplary leadership in the education bureaucracy. The implications of this research show that an education bureaucracy based on Islamic ethics and morality can create an education system that is more integrity, professional, and oriented towards the welfare of the community. Therefore, this research recommends further studies on the application of technology in the supervision of the education bureaucracy as well as more effective policy models in instilling Islamic values in the education administration system.
