Abstract

This study explores the relationship between self-esteem, achievement, and Islamic counseling through a systematic literature review. By analyzing 10 selected articles published in 2024, the study highlights the critical role of self-esteem in academic success. Students with healthy self-esteem demonstrate better self-efficacy, resilience, and motivation to achieve their academic and career goals. Islamic counseling emerges as an effective intervention, addressing emotional and behavioral challenges while providing a strong spiritual foundation. The findings reveal that Islamic counseling not only enhances mental health but also fosters self-esteem and intrinsic motivation through the integration of spiritual and academic values. Key themes include the significant impact of self-esteem on achievement, the holistic effectiveness of Islamic counseling, and the synergy between spiritual and formal education. The study emphasizes the need for educational institutions to integrate Islamic counseling into support services, practitioners to adopt faith-based interventions, and curricula to incorporate spiritual values. These strategies can create a holistic learning environment that balances academic excellence and emotional well-being. This research provides a foundation for further exploration of Islamic counseling’s role in broader educational and psychological contexts.

Abstract

This systematic literature review tries to answer the question of what methods are used to analyze how work-life balance plays a role in employee career and life satisfaction. One of the literature study approaches is Systematic Literature Review (SLR). This research uses the Systematic Literature Review with the Prism Method with the help of Watse Uake. This research is limited by only looking for Scopus Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4 journal articles, published in 2020-2024. Based on (13) thirteen articles reviewed, through a systematic literature review process, with a time span of article publication between 2020 and 2024. It was found that only ten articles met the criteria and were used as references in this study. The results of this literature review show that by implementing work-life balance in a company, employees or workers will achieve career and life satisfaction at work

Abstract

Permasalahan kepercayaan diri berdampak pada hilangnya minat siswa dalam mengembangkan berbagai potensi yang dimiliki oleh siswa. Maka dari itu masalah kepercayaan diri harus segera diatasi segera agar siswa dapat segera mengoptimalkan berbagai potensinya. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan konseling individu dengan komunikasi terapeutik islami dalam meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa. Metode yang digunakan yaitu menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskripsi. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu lembar observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa konseling individu dengan komunikasi terapeutik islami terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa. Adapun Implementasi komunikasi terapeutik yang berlandaskan prinsip--prinsip komunikasi terapeutik Islam yaitu  Qoulan Sadida, Qoulan Baligha, Qoulan Ma’rufa, Qoulan Karima, Qoulan Layyina, Qoulan Maysura pada seluruh kegiatan komunikasi terapeutik baik pada tahap awal, tahap tengah (kerja) dan tahap akhir (action) melalui penerapan ini menunjukan hasil yang baik dengan meningkatnya kepercayaan diri siswa.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of group counseling services using the Homework Assignment technique approach to increase student learning responsibility at SMA Negeri 7 Medan. This research used quantitative experimental methods. This research involved 56 class X students and a sample of 8 people who were selected using purposive sampling. The research design uses pre-experiment pretest-posttest. The results of data analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks test showed asymp significance. sig (2-tailed) of 0.012 is lower than the specified significance level (0.05). Thus, the Homework Assignment technique through counseling services has proven to be effective in increasing student learning responsibility

Abstract

Prokrastinasi akademik merupakan suatu masalah yang menghambat proses pendidikan peserta didik. Masalah tersebut terjadi disebabkan beberapa faktor, diantaranya pola pengasuhan orang tua. Terdapat beberapa model pola pengasuhan orang tua, satu diantaranya adalah pola asuh demokratis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah ingin mengetahui apakah terdapat atau tidak hubungan antara pola asuh demokratis orang tua dengan prokrastinasi akademik peserta didik MTs Al Manar Medan Tahun Pelajaran 2023/2024. Peneliti menggunakan metode kuantitatif korelasional dalam penelitian ini. Adapun sampel penelitiannya adalah 71 peserta didik MTs Al Manar Medan Tahun Pelajaran 2023/2024 yang ditentukan jumlahnya menggunakan rumus Slovin, dan untuk teknik samplingnya menggunakan Purposive Sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan angket pola asuh demokratis dan prokrastinasi akademik yang disusun dengan skala Likert. Berdasarkan analisis data dengan rumus uji korelasi Product Moment, didapatkan hasil yaitu nilai koefisien korelasi (r) -0,608 dan nilai signifikansi (p) 0,000 (p < 0,05). Hasil penelitian tersebut menyatakan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara pola asuh demokratis orang tua dengan prokrastinasi akademik peserta didik MTs Al Manar Medan Tahun Pelajaran 2023/2024. Nilai koefisien korelasi tersebut juga menjelaskan bahwa semakin bertambah baik model pengasuhan demokratis yang diaplikasikan orang tua maka prokrastinasi akademik yang dilakukan oleh anak/peserta didik akan semakin berkurang. Maka dari itu sangat penting bagi orang tua untuk menerapkan pola asuh demokratis dalam keluarga agar mampu mengurangi dan mencegah prokrastinasi akademik pada anak, sehingga dengan itu proses perkembangan dan keberhasilan pendidikan anak dapat berjalan dengan baik.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the trends, in counseling studies related to education in Indonesia. The study utilizes content analysis as a method to systematically review papers from national journals over the last twelve years. By exploring the frequency and themes of counseling research topics methodologies employed and outcomes this research offers an overview of how counseling practicesre being incorporated and advanced in inclusive educational environments. There are around 29 articles published in national journals accredited at SINTA. These articles specifically discuss research on counseling and its relationship to inclusive education. The results show a growing interest in education focusing significantly on developing counseling practices, training teachers and supporting students. This study emphasizes the advancements achieved far and points out areas for exploration and future research directions contributing to the improvement of counseling services within inclusive education, in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Islamic guidance and counseling in preventing adolescent deviant behavior in Timbang Lawan Village. The phenomenon of deviant behavior among adolescents has been increasing, ranging from delinquency, drug abuse, and violence to other forms of misconduct that can disrupt their moral and spiritual development. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. The methods utilized in this approach include observation, interviews, and document analysis. The results of this study reveal that Islamic guidance and counseling play a significant role in preventing deviant behavior and misconduct among adolescents by providing understanding of moral values, enhancing spiritual awareness, and strengthening their relationship with religion. Through the approach of Islamic guidance and counseling, religious values are applied to shape better character in adolescents. Islamic guidance and counseling have proven effective in helping adolescents overcome emotional and social problems, as well as providing them with guidance on living a life aligned with religious teachings. Thus, Islamic guidance and counseling can serve as a strategic effort in fostering adolescent morality amidst the challenges of modernization.

This research aims to describe the effect of group guidance services with self-control techniques in reducing gadget addiction to reduce gadget addiction in students. The method used in this research is an experimental method with a one group pre-tets (before service is provided) and post-tets (after service is provided) design. The research population was 45 students of class XI 1 and XI 2 MAS PAB 1 SAMPALI. The sample taken from the population was 12 students using purposive sampling technique. The t test analysis showed that the research results showed a decrease in gadget addiction after being given group guidance services using self-control techniques. Results of the paired sample t test, sig value. 2 tailed 0.000 > 0.005 then it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and H1, meaning that there is an influence of group guidance services with self-control techniques. It is recommended that further researchers use group guidance services with different techniques with the aim of seeing the extent of effectiveness in reducing gadget addiction in class XI MAS PAB 1 SAMPALI. Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the impact of group counseling services using self-control techniques on the dangers of narcolema (pornography addiction) among adolescents. The issue addressed is the high level of pornography addiction among teenagers, which poses significant risks to their physical, mental, and social well-being. The research utilized a quantitative approach with a "One Group Pretest-Posttest" experimental design. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using paired sample t-test statistical analysis with the help of SPSS software. The results indicate that group counseling services employing self-control techniques significantly reduce narcolema addiction levels. The average pretest score of the subjects was 87.12 (very high category), which decreased to 71 (low category) in the posttest, showing a significant reduction of 17%. The self-control technique enables individuals to regulate behavior, cognition, and decision-making, helping adolescents reduce their access to pornographic content. In conclusion, group counseling services with self-control techniques are effective in reducing pornography addiction behaviors among adolescents. The implications of this study highlight the necessity of implementing group-based counseling services in schools to address negative behaviors related to technology use. This research also recommends active roles for parents and educational institutions in monitoring and providing appropriate interventions for adolescents to tackle challenges in the digital era.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the role of information services in increasing student learning motivation at the Private Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MIS) in Timbang Lawan Dusun VII Village. Students' learning motivation is influenced by various factors, including parental support which is often inadequate. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods with interviews, observation and literature study as data collection techniques. The qualitative description research provides research findings by describing phenomena that ususally presented as in-depth and detailed narratives. The research results showed 7-10 students in MIS Desa Timbang Lawan having low learning motivation. Information services in guidance and counseling have proven effective in increasing students' understanding of the importance of learning motivation, with 75% of students reporting increased enthusiasm after participating in these services. This research results showed that information services play a role in providing understanding, knowledge, or information needed by students to build and enchance their learning motivation in order to achieve optimal learning outcomes.
