Abstract

Pembelajaran teks iklan di SMP cenderung terbatas pada pemahaman dasar, pengenalan struktur, dan karakteristik umum. Pembelajaran ini tidak mengeksplorasi strategi komunikasi dalam iklan secara kritis dan mendalam. Padahal, iklan, terutama iklan farmasi di televisi, mengandung struktur wacana dan fungsi bahasa yang kompleks sehingga menarik untuk dianalisis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis struktur wacana dan fungsi bahasa iklan farmasi di televisi dan mengubahnya menjadi bahan ajar kontekstual. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif digunakan. Data dikumpulkan dengan mendokumentasikan iklan yang ditayangkan di televisi dan dianalisis berdasarkan teori struktur wacana (makrostruktur, suprastruktur, dan mikrostruktur) dan teori fungsi bahasa (instrumental, regulasi, deskriptif, interaktif, heuristik, personal, dan imajinatif). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa iklan-iklan tersebut efektif menggunakan pola wacana dan fungsi bahasa untuk memengaruhi khalayak. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa struktur wacana dan fungsi bahasa iklan dapat menjadi dasar bagi bahan ajar, seperti handout teks iklan, yang dapat meningkatkan keterampilan analisis dan literasi kritis siswa.

Abstract

Poetry writing learning at the junior high school level often faces various challenges. One of these challenges is the low interest and creativity of students in learning poetry. This phenomenon is caused by conventional learning methods that offer limited interaction. However, along with technological advancement, chatbot-based learning has emerged as an innovative solution to create a more personalized, interactive, and adaptive learning experience tailored to students’ needs. This study aims to analyze the implementation of chatbot-based learning in developing junior high school students’ poetry writing skills as well as to identify its benefits and challenges. The study employed a qualitative approach using a literature review method through a systematic search of scientific articles published within the last ten years on Google Scholar. The collected data were analyzed thematically and deductively to identify patterns of implementation, potential, and obstacles in using chatbots for poetry writing instruction. The findings show that integrating chatbots into poetry writing learning offers various benefits, such as enhancing learning personalization, learner autonomy, engagement, and creativity through rapid feedback and flexible writing practice. In addition, chatbots assist teachers in reducing administrative workloads and focusing more on creative guidance. Overall, this study concludes that chatbot-based learning has great potential to improve the effectiveness and quality of poetry writing instruction at the junior high school level.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the laungae style in Stand Up Comedy shows on the Youtube channel Stand Up Kompas TV. The focus of this study is to analyze language style based on word choice, language style based on sentence structure, and language style based on indirect meaning (figurative language style). This study uses a qualitative methode with a descriptive approach. The subjects of this atudy were selected standup comedy videos uploaded on the Youtube channel Stand Up Kompas TV, while the object of the study was the language style used in the selected videos, with the researcher as the instrument. The data collection techniques used were documentation and transcription. The analysis technique in this sudy follows the opinion of Miles and Huberman (in Hardani, et al., 2020:163), which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study found 8 data from the typeof language style based on word choice; 135 data from the type of language style based on sentence structure; and 126 data from the type of language style based on indirect meaning. These types of language style totaled 269 data. Keywords: Languade Style, Stand Up, and Stand Up Kompas Tv Youtube Channel.

Abstract

The Wahdatul Wujud doctrine brought by Hamzah Fansuri was once so dominant in Sufi discourse in Nusantara, as evidenced by the large number of manuscripts discussing it in various regions of the archipelago. This study utilizes two corpora with Wahdatul Wujud nuances and pantheistic characteristics from two different locations, the coast and the mountains, namely Hamzah Fansuri's Poems, edited by Drewes and Brekel (1986), and Usurran Ganti (UG), edited by Izuddin (2023). This study aims to analyze the similarities and differences in conveying the theological concept of Wahdatul Wujud and to analyze the various backgrounds that influence both texts in conveying this doctrine. The theory used is Roland Shaw's Syncretism (1994). The method employed in this study is an intertextual approach, comparing the analyzed corpus with other works by Hamzah Fansuri and various Islamic literature. The conclusion of this article is that both texts express the concept of Wahdatul Wujud in a pantheistic manner through natural symbols, albeit in different ways. Fansuri uses maritime metaphors that reflect the influence of Persian-Arabic Sufism, while the author of UG employs mountain symbols based on local cosmology. This difference stems from the authors' backgrounds; Hamzah Fansuri as an intellectual from a coastal region connected to the global Islamic network, while the author of UG blends Islam with pre-Islamic knowledge deeply rooted in the Uluan culture of South Sumatra. Fansuri also transforms non-Islamic symbols into Sufi allegories, while the UG author engages in cultural negotiation by replacing Islamic cosmological narratives with local cosmology. Fansuri's poetry symbolism is universal, whereas UG uses specific symbols tied to local beliefs.

Abstract

Penggunaan kata-kata dalam judul berita harus jelas dan mudah dipahami oleh pembaca. Pemilihan atau penulisan judul berita oleh penulis berita menggunakan bahasa yang mudah dipahami atau bahasa sehari-hari agar tidak terjadi ambiguitas pemahaman pembaca. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan makna gramatikal dan leksikal dalam judul berita pendidikan di jabar.tribunnews.com periode November 2024 hingga Februari 2025. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah berita pendidikan periode November 2024 hingga Februari 2025, sedangkan objek penelitian ini adalah makna gramatikal dan leksikal dalam judul berita. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah: dokumentasi, observasi dan pencatatan, serta pemilahan unsur-unsur penentu. Teknik analisis data adalah: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan 154 judul berita pendidikan yang terbagi dalam dua jenis makna: (1) 77 judul berita pendidikan untuk makna gramatikal, terdiri dari: 55 kata majemuk, 28 kata berafiks, dan 1 kata reduplikasi. (2) 77 judul berita pendidikan untuk makna leksikal, terdiri dari: 95 kata kerja, 468 kata benda, 42 kata sifat, 100 kata bantu, dan 29 kata sambung.

Abstract

This article discusses the important status of the time of creation and or publication of literary works in interpretation. This type of article is a literature review article. The sample cases of literary studies used are the cases of Serat Darmogandul, the novel Sitti Nurbaya, the poem "Diponegoro," and the novels of Iwan Simatupang. Literature reviews are applied to the cases presented so as to lead to a theoretical concept regarding interpretations that do not deviate far from the text when the date of creation and or publication coincide. It can be concluded that the function of the date of creation and or year of publication of a text in the study of literary texts, namely: 1.) providing a basis for expectations and anticipation, 2.) providing a foothold for tracing changes in the text, 3.) the time of creation of the text provides clarity regarding the position of the text in the universe-chronicle which is part of its existence, and 4.) helping determine the position of a text in the historical timeline among other texts.

Abstract

This study discusses the altruistic behavior of the character Kiai Moko in “Legenda Api Tak Kunjung Padam” (The Legend of the Never-Ending Fire) set in the Pamekasan Regency using a qualitative descriptive method. The purpose of this study is to describe the altruism of the character Kiai Moko based on Einsberg dan Mussen' theory of altruism. Data collection techniques used literature review, reading, and note-taking. Meanwhile, the data analysis techniques used included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Based on the study, it was found that the character Kiai Moko represented altruistic behavior in the storyline. This behavior was manifested through three aspects, namely paying attention, helping others, and putting others first. These findings show that Kiai Moko, as one of the legendary figures in Pamekasan, represents an altruistic character that reflects a personality worthy of emulation and should be passed down from generation to generation as a means of character education. In addition, this reflection can also be used as a characteristic of the identity of the people of Pamekasan.

Abstract

This study explores rural communities’ perceptions of public speaking by addressing three key aspects: (1) its meaning within the social context as a medium for self-expression and participation; (2) its role in constructing self-confidence through enhanced social support; and (3) its implications for Indonesian language education. Using a qualitative descriptive design, data were collected through in-depth interviews to capture subjective experiences, social meanings, and individual views related to public speaking in daily life. The findings indicate that rural communities regard public speaking as a space for self-expression and social engagement rather than a skill limited to formal settings. Self-confidence is strengthened when supported by the immediate social environment. Integrating public speaking into Indonesian language instruction, particularly speaking skills, should involve opportunities for students to practice in public contexts. In rural settings, public speaking functions not merely as a communicative ability but as a means of reinforcing identity, fostering collaboration, and encouraging active community participation.

Abstract

The Banyumasan dialect or better known as "Ngapak" is part of the Javanese dialect which has striking phonological characteristics when compared to the Mataraman dialect. This study aims to describe the form of phoneme variation in the Banyumasan dialect spoken in two regions, namely Banyumas Regency and Cilacap Regency. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method through a dialectological approach, focusing on phoneme units as the smallest unit in the language sound system. The results of field observations and direct interaction with native speakers from Banyumas and Cilacap show that there are several forms of phonemic variation, including: (1) apokope, which is the elimination of vowel sounds at the end of words, such as in the word "koe" which becomes "ko" or "uwis" becomes "wis"; (2) the addition of phonemes, especially epenetic vowels that are added to refine articulation, such as in the word "arep" which becomes "arepan"; and (3) consonant substitution, e.g. simplification of the phoneme /ai/ which is reduced to /i/ in the word "wae" to "baen", or the change of the phoneme /n/ to /ɲ/ (ng) in the phrase "nang endi" which changes to "ngendi". This phonemic analysis shows that each change has a certain pattern that reflects systemic consistency in people's spoken language. This not only reflects linguistic adaptations to local communication needs, but also demonstrates the social function of language variation as part of community identity. In other words, the phonemic differences found are not just deviations from the standard form, but a reflection of the typical phonological structure that develops naturally in the Banyumasan language community. This research also strengthens the understanding of regional language dynamics and the importance of preserving local languages in the midst of globalization.

Abstract

High school students' argumentative essay writing skills are still unsatisfactory. One factor contributing to their low argumentative essay writing skills is the inappropriate choice of learning approaches. The purpose of this study is to describe the improvement of students' argumentative essay writing skills with a procreative recreation approach and to describe students' activeness in participating in argumentative essay writing learning. The type of research chosen was classroom action research (CAR) using the Kemmis & McTaggart model, conducted in cycles. Each cycle consists of four main activities: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Each cycle consists of four main activities: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 34 students of class XII.2 of SMA Negeri 1 Kota Madiun in the 2024/2025 academic year. Data were collected using tests, observations, interviews, and questionnaires. The Learning Objective Achievement Criteria (KKTP) indicators were formulated based on an assessment based on the achievement of predetermined learning objectives. Data analysis was conducted using both quantitative and qualitative descriptive methods. The results demonstrate that the recreational procreation approach can improve students' argumentative essay writing skills and increase student engagement in learning. The novelty of this research lies in the use of the recreational procreation approach, which emphasises critical thinking skills and the development of creativity in argumentative essay writing.
