Abstract

The spread of the COVID-19 outbreak in Indonesia has had a crucial impact on educational institutions. To contain the spread of COVID-19, the government has decided to close schools and implement distance education (online). The impact is that not all schools can carry out distance learning activities due to various obstacles and constraints. The purpose of this study is to conduct an in-depth investigation of the formulation of school principal policies in the implementation of Education to deal with the COVID-19 Pandemic. This research uses a qualitative approach with this type of case study. Data is collected through observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis with interactive techniques. The study results concluded that the formulation of the principal's policy includes the following stages: problem formulation, policy agenda, alternative selection, strategic, operational, and determination.

Abstract

Fenomena yang mengguncangkan seluruh dunia dengan pandemi Covid-19 di Indonesia menyebabkan seluruh lembaga pendidikan merubah kebiasaannya dalam proses belajar mengajar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) menganalisis faktor peran orang tua dan guru dalam pembelajaran anak usia dini di masa pandemi Covid-19, (2) mendeskripsikan bagaimana kolaborasi peran orang tua dan guru dalam pembelajaran anak usia dini di masa pandemi Covid-19. Metode penelitian yang digunakan kualitatif deskriptif, subjek peneliitiannya melibatkan 10 orang tua, dan 5 guru, pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, teknik analisis datanya dengan melakukan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan menyimpulkan data atau verivikasi data, selanjutnya menguji keabsahan data dengan teknik triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Faktor peran guru dan orang tua dalam pembelajaran anak usia dini di masa pandemi Covid-19 dilihat dari keterlibatan orang tua dalam pendampingan belajar, saat anak mengerjakan tugas sekolah, menciptakan suasana belajar yang nyaman, menjalin komunikasi yang baik, menjadi role model bagi anak, memberi pengawasan dan motivasi untuk anak, memberi nafkah untuk memenuhi kebutuhan keluarga. (2) Kolaborasi peran orang tua dan guru dalam pembelajaran anak usia dini di masa pandemi Covid-19 dilakukan melalui 3 tahapan pelaksanaan, yaitu Problem Setting, Direction Setting dan implementasi peran orang tua dan guru dalam peoses belajar anak.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena adanya keterbatasan dan kurangnya jam pembelajaran dalam melaksanakan program belajar shalat pada anak. Maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran E-book belajar shalat untuk menanamkan nilai agama peserta didik usia 4-5 tahun. Adapun metode penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model ADDIE dengan lima tahapan, yaitu 1) Analisis, 2) Desain, 3) Pengembangan, 4) Implementasi dan 5) Evaluasi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dan statistik deskriptif berupa hasil presentase dan masukan para ahli diantaranya ahli media diperoleh hasil 80%, ahli materi diperoleh hasil 86% dan ahli pembelajaran diperoleh hasil 95%. Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran E-book belajar shalat efektif dan sangat layak digunakan untuk proses penanaman nilai agama peserta didik.

Abstract

Fine motor or subtle movements are specifically controlled by small muscles that must be stimulated. Media Smart Tree is a development medium that stimulates fine motor skills for children aged 3-4 years. Smart tree media aims to stimulate children's fine motor development which is designed to consist of 3 game sides, the first side is the Meronce Educational Game, the second side is a puzzle game, the third side is putting objects in bottles. Smart tree media is made of plywood boards and covered with felt. The development of Smart Tree media uses research and development. Researchers used the Borg and Gall model, which carried out seven of the ten steps of the research procedure. The results of validation with media experts, the following results were obtained: the results of the percentage validity of media experts were 85% with Very Eligible validation criteria, the results of the presentation of material expert validity were 83,3% with Very Eligible validation criteria. From this it can be concluded that the media is feasible to use.

Abstract

Mentally retarded children in the idiot category tend to experience delays in several aspects of ability, one of which is gross motor skills. This is influenced by mentally retarded children who are passive and rarely do movement activities so that the muscles, brain and nerves do not coordinate optimally. Optimizing children's motor skills can be done through activities that are popular with children which contain a lot of movement in their activities, one of which is through the traditional game of jumping rope in training three basic movement categories namely locomotor, non-locomotor and manipulative. The purpose of this study was to describe the development of the motor skills of mentally retarded children in the severe category through the traditional game of jumping rope which was carried out at the Darma Rena Ring Putra II SLB-C school. The research method uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation and interviews. Data analysis techniques namely data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions by testing the validity of the data using triangulation techniques. The results of the study showed that the gross motor skills of children with severe mental retardation could be stimulated using the traditional jump rope game which optimally creates various kinds of body movements. So that it can train children to perform various kinds of movements with confidence and have the courage to do so, such as walking, running, lifting one leg, and jumping.

Abstract

Kinesthetic intelligence is an important part of the child's motor development process through coordinated movement activities and can train children in skills, balance, strength, flexibility and agility. The low level of kinesthetic intelligence is influenced by several factors such as motion activity that is not optimal, so it requires activities that attract children to activities such as playing Sundanese which creates a variety of movements for those who play it. The method used in this study was qualitative with five children aged 5-7 years as the research subjects. The research was conducted in the Klurak Baru area, Bokoharjo, Prambanan, Sleman using observation instruments and interviews conducted with parents or the surrounding community. The analysis technique uses data condensation, presenting the results and making conclusions. The validity of the data was carried out using a training technique. The findings in this study are that kinesthetic intelligence in traditional Sundanese games can train complex coordination movements such as leg strength when jumping on one leg along with throwing and catching gaco using the hands while moving around. Besides that, it can also train children's balance, limb strength, child agility and child agility in moving activities. Therefore it can be concluded that kinesthetic intelligence can be developed through the traditional Sundanese game method.

Abstract

Character development in children must be implemented from an early age. This includes building entrepreneurial character in children. Building entrepreneurial character in children requires stimulation in accordance with child development. Therefore it takes some efforts to implement it. This research was conducted at RA Harapan Kita, Kec. Lut Tawar, Kab. Central Aceh for teachers and children aged 5-6 years, with a total of 15 children. The research method uses qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. The data analysis technique uses the Milles and Huberman model, namely through observation, interviews and research-related literature studies. The results of the study show that the teacher's role in building entrepreneurial character in children can be done by providing stimulation through market day activities. It can be said that the implementation of market day activities went well as evidenced by the planning up to the activity evaluation stage. the benefits of implementing market day activities in shaping the character of entrepreneurs bring out the following characters. 1) have a sense of responsibility. 2) recognize self potential. 3) have a sense of responsibility. 4) creative. 5) able to solve problems.

Abstract

Communication in human life is very important. For young children how to communicate is a challenge to live their lives, so early childhood must learn how to communicate, especially effective communication both in the family and social environment, because there are already many children who are still at an early age the way of communication is less effective because it is influenced by several factors which exists. This research aims to increase knowledge for adults or parents how to communicate with early childhood effectively. The subjects of this study are adults who will implement effective communication for early childhood. In our research using library research (Library Research). Library research is the activity of collecting materials related to research from scientific journals, literature and authors. The results of the study show that in the family environment the way to communicate with early childhood is by respecting each other, understanding each other, adjusting communication styles and guiding children in terms of good communication. Whereas in early childhood education the teacher must be a good communicator, understand the characteristics of students, provide a comfortable and safe atmosphere and the teacher must be able to form close relationships with students in order to make it easier for students to communicate with teachers so as to build effective communication. By implementing effective communication from an early age, children will be able to interact with their social environment, be able to express their feelings and children will be able to develop their language when communicating.

Abstract

Recent years have seen an increase in incidents of sexual violence related to early childhood in Indonesia. Based on the latest data from the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection for 2022 starting from January 2022 to September 2022, there were cases of violence against a total of 15,759 female victims followed by 2,729 male victims. Sex education is still something that is considered taboo by the majority of Indonesian people, they view educating children about sexuality as a bad thing because they believe that sex education only consists of training children in negative things without any educational component. Of the many cases of sexual abuse in early childhood that are increasingly sticking out to the public and this phenomenon the researcher is interested in carrying out a deepening of the importance of sex education for early childhood through the design of a qualitative narrative method by carrying out a literature review, where the author examines various data sources along with information from various sources related to the issues set. The first and foremost line of defense against the sexual abuse of children is their parents. Parenting is an attempt by parents to behave towards their children as parents should. By implementing Good Parenting Communication Skills, this parenting movement is needed because parents must understand the risks and know how to prevent sexual violence in children responsively and effectively. Sex education for children with a daily activity approach, while learning about sexuality with daily activities. Such as potty training/toilet training, not showing private body parts, naming private body parts with the correct biological names.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of developing children's fine motor skills in the Padang State University Laboratory Development Kindergarten. This study uses a quantitative approach in the form of Quasi Experiments. The population of this study were all students of the Padang State University Laboratory Development Kindergarten, with the sample being B2 and B3 classes, each of which consisted of 15 children. Data collection techniques that researchers use are oral tests, action tests and documentation. Data analysis techniques using normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing. Data collection tool used statement sheets. Then the data was processed by a difference test (t-test) using the SPSS 22.0 for windows application. Based on the results of research data analysis, the average pre test for the experimental class was 10.73 and for the control class was 10.53, while the post-test average for the experimental class was 15.07 and the control class was 12.27. Based on the pre-test and post-test data, the average gain score for the experimental class was 4.33 while the average gain score for the control class was 1.73. Based on the sig value (2-tailed) is 0.00
