Abstract

Children's language skills at an early age are the foundation that needs to be trained to express their ideas and thoughts, including the ability to read and write. This research aims to determine contextual teaching and learning on the language skills of young children aged 5-6 years at Pelangi Bulukumba Kindergarten. Data collection in this study used observation techniques with research subjects consisting of 24 children from class B1 and 20 children from class B2. To obtain research results, researchers used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design with descriptive analysis techniques and comparative tests using the independent samples t-test. The research results show that the language skills of students who took part in experimental activities, with a mean value of 19.40, showed a significant increase compared to the control class which had a mean value of 15.00. This proves that there is an influence of contextual teaching and learning on the language skills of young children aged 5-6 years at Pelangi Bulukumba Kindergarten.

Abstract

Early childhood education is crucial for child development, requiring well-prepared teaching staff, a conducive learning environment, and a robust curriculum. Teachers, as the primary figures interacting with students, play a vital role. Differences in curriculum, culture, and educational elements in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand result in varying profiles of PAUD teachers' pedagogical content knowledge. This research uses quantitative methods to explore these differences among early childhood education teachers at RA Muslimat NU 09 (Indonesia), Taski Ma'arif (Malaysia), and Anubaan Singhanakhon Wittaya Nusorn School (Thailand). The study identifies factors that support and hinder the profiles of pedagogical content knowledge in these institutions. The research results will highlight the percentages of pedagogical knowledge, content knowledge, and pedagogical content knowledge among PAUD teachers in these schools, emphasizing the differences. Findings show that RA Muslimat NU 09 teachers have 79.6% in these areas, Taski Ma'arif teachers have 74.1%, and Singhanakhon Wittaya Nusorn School teachers have 78%. That’s means teachers' pedagogical content knowledge competencies in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand do not show significant differences. The main difference is that teachers in Indonesia have relevant educational backgrounds, whereas in Malaysia and Thailand there are still teachers with educational backgrounds that are not relevant.

Abstract

The goal of human resource management is to optimise organisational work processes. To ensure that all instructors are qualified in the speciality of early childhood education and build the quality of educational institutions, kindergarten teacher has to complete certification standards. Kindergarten teachers avoid doing that because early childhood is a golden period. But teachers in kindergarten don't do that. Teachers only serve as sources of knowledge for their students, but in order to assist them in finding solutions to learning and creativity, they must be able to recognise the uniqueness of each student. This study used a qualitative case study methodology. Techniques for gathering data are done through documentation, interviews, and observation. Data analysis includes gathering, reducing, presenting, and generating conclusions, according to the Miles and Huberman model. Data analysis methods used in this study include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, all of which are part of the Miles and Huberman model. Through 1) professional training; 2) teacher collective activities like Gugus, IGTKI, KKG, and PGRI; 3) participation in scientific forums in the form of technical guidance, workshops, and seminars; and 4) support in the learning process, the research results argue that teacher development at Arafah Kindergarten, Nanggalo District, is carried out through coaching, counselling, mentoring, and providing motivation and empowerment.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the impact of implementing the Lompat Ceria game in improving early childhood physical motor development. The research method is classroom action research that follows the Kemmis and Taggart model. The study included 2 cycles, where each cycle included 4 stages, namely planning, acting, observing and reflecting. Data was collected through student observations, interviews with teachers, and documentation. The results showed that some students experienced challenges in gross motor physical development, but the majority showed active engagement in the games. Nonetheless, there were variations in the level of skills demonstrated by the students. To address these challenges, the school implemented additional learning sessions before class learning began. This study makes an important contribution to the understanding of the role of the Lompat Ceria game in early childhood physical motor development. This is evidenced by the results of the average percentage of scores in each cycle increasing, namely in cycle I by 46%; cycle II by 82%. When compared to cycle I, in cycle II experienced a lot of increase of 82%, this criterion has reached more than the expected This research concludes that the cheerful jumping game method can improve children's physical motor development.

Abstract

Children can learn to recognise words by use of media. The media made from natural resources. According to the findings of the observations, children in class B at PAUD Permata Bunda Kota Subulussalam were still developing their alphabet recognition skills. The purpose of this study is to ascertain how well children at PAUD Permata Bunda in Subulussalam City can recognise alphabet when exposed to natural media. This study used a pretest-posttest design with a single group and a pre-experimental methodology. Total sampling was the method used for class B, which consisted of 24 kids in total. Sheets for documentation and observation are used as data gathering tools. Normality tests, t-tests, and hypothesis testing are among the data analysis methods employed. The average pretest score increased from 2.1 to 3.0 in the posttest, indicating that the usage of natural media is beneficial in enhancing children's words recognition skills at PAUD Permata Bunda, Subulussalam City. Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected based on hypothesis testing, which reveals that the value of tcount (29.038) > ttable (2.068), indicating that the usage of natural material media is effective on children's capacity to recognise letters in PAUD Permata Bunda, Subulussalam City. It may be concluded that children at PAUD Permata Bunda, Subulussalam City, who are between the ages of five and six, benefit from media made from natural materials in terms of their capacity to recognise letters.

Abstract

This study focusses into how school infrastructure and facilities affect the general growth of children. Specifically, academic and non-academic factors are topic of this research. The purpose of this study is to explain how children's academic performance, social skills, and emotions are impacted by in good condition spaces especially classrooms, libraries, and recreation areas. Using a descriptive qualitative literature review methodology, this study methodically analyses information from present research papers. The analysis's findings show that: 1) Three (three) key principles need to be followed while arranging infrastructure and facilities. 2) High- quality facilities and infrastructure affect children's academic performance and 3) their non-academic performance. It recommended that future studies analyse the specific impacts of different types of facilities and how they contribute to greater educational equality.

Abstract

This research is for using the outdoor preschool. Because environment for learning have minimize land. The research topic wants to comprehend how schools with minimize land handle outdoor learning areas. This type of research uses a case study approach and is qualitative. The principal of the school and the instructors of RA Nurul Ikhwan gave data for this research by interviews, observations, and documentation methods. Data reduction, visualisation, and verification are a few of data analysis approaches used in this research. The results of this research argue that environment at RA Nurul Ikhwan located in a small area, involves setting up the implementation of outdoor learning environment management that matches with enough safety regulations, planning for the management of the outdoor learning environment, and motivating teachers to implement learning environment management. Designed outside area and keeping attention on kids when they join in activities in the outdoor learning area. It is intended that by setting the management of the outdoor learning environment into practice, teachers and school principals will be able to create and maintain improvements that will make the environment better in the future.

Abstract

Building character must begin at an early age. For the future of a nation that respects moral principles. This character develops called discipline. Learning disciplined character can be implemented by playing music, especially in a drum band. Children can learn many kinds of discipline habits through drum band. Kids arrive on time. Waiting for moment to play the music. Follow the guidelines and reorganise the drum band's instruments. And play musical instruments while you march. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. Using data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis takes the form of data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. Based on the research results, drum band activities have helped kids build their disciplined character. When kids participate in drumband activities for the first time, this is unmistakable. Children develop their discipline via consistent practice and guidance from the coach or teacher. Time discipline and action discipline are two indications that demonstrate this. The goal of TK Kartika Bangkalan is aligned with the discipline of the kids participating in drum band activities. As a result, the TK Kartika Bangkalan drumband won the PDBI Bangkalan Drumband Championship, the East Java Students Marching Competition, and the STAIDHI Open Tournament.

Abstract

The aims of this study is to determine the content of the Qur'an in the film Nusa and Rara. The education of the Qur'an holds significant importance for children. Individuals can attain knowledge of God through the Qur'an. The Nussa and Rara animation represents an effective digital medium. Facilitating children's comprehension of the Qur'an and incorporating Islamic values into their everyday practices. Because Merdeka curriculum and Profil Pelajar Pancasila are used in schools, so that learning the Qur'an can be integrated into children's daily lives. This study employs descriptive qualitative methodologies. The data source is the animated film "Nussa and Rara." The data collection method involves analyzing three specific episodes from the animated film Nussa and Rara: "Who Are We," "Free Rewards," and "Brother Nussa." The method of data analysis employed is content analysis of the chosen episodes. Aligning with verses from the Qur'an and pertinent Islamic literature. This research identifies several values of Islamic religious education in the film, specifically faith, worship, and monotheism as This animation is appropriate for preschool children due to its brief duration and incorporating of a conclusion at the story's end. This research concludes that Nusa and Rara are appropriate for early childhood viewing, as they correspond with children's characteristics and incorporate moral and Islamic religious values, thereby aiding in children's learning of the Quran. Furthermore.  This film relates to the Merdeka curriculum and the Profil Pelajar Pancasila.  The integration of the Quran are happen in daily life.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to successfully find out the playing method, to create a sense of independence in children.Independence is one aspect of character formation that is very important in early childhood, especially in the age range of four to five years, but in Indonesia there are still many children who have not achieved independence. This can be caused by several things, such as parents who are too loving and pampering their children, following all the wishes and desires of children and helping if children cannot do something. This study uses a literature review research method with qualitative content analysis using literature from various journals, such as Google Scholar, Sinta, DOAJ, Garuda, and so on. The results of the study show that the play method has a significant role in developing children's independence, including role play, constructive play, outdoor activities,  and traditional games. Each type of game makes a unique contribution to developing different aspects of independence, such as decision making, problem solving, and responsibility. However, the implementation of the play method in Indonesia still faces challenges, especially related to the availability of parents' time for their children. This study concludes that the integration of various play methods in early childhood learning, supported by the active role of teachers and parents, is very important to optimize the development of children's independence.
