Abstract

This study aims to determine the readiness of teachers at SD Negeri 47 Penanjung in implementing independent curriculum learning. This research is a qualitative research with the type of case study. The subjects were all teachers of SD Negeri 47 Penanjung, Sekadau regency totaling 15 people. The object of this research is a form of readiness in implementing independent curriculum learning. Techniques in data collection in this study using observation and documentation techniques. The results of the data analysis show that the implementation of learning at SD Negeri 47 Penanjung  Sekadau is ready to carry out independent curriculum learning. Teacher readiness is categorized as good. Most of the teacher as much as 86.7 % already understand the structure of the independent curriculum. Meanwhile, there are some teachers with a total of 13,3 % who do not understand the structure of the independent curriculum. And most of the teachers as much as 80 % already understand the use of the Platform Merdeka Mengajar. Meanwhile, there are some teachers are some teachers who do not understand the use of the Platform Merdeka Mengajar.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the researcher at SD Negeri 13 Sungai Kawat regarding students in grade II who were identified as having a deficiency in reading ability. Students in class II find it difficult to recognize letters and have difficulty arranging words in reading. So far, in learning to read at SD Negeri 13 Sungai Kawat, they still use an ineffective method, namely the common (ordinary) reading method. It makes students' reading ability low. The purpose of the study was to describe the improvement of students' reading ability using the smart reading method for class II SD Negeri 13 Sungai Kawat. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach and a form of classroom action research. The implementation process consists of 4 stages: planning, implementing actions, observing, and reflecting. The subjects in this study were second-grade students of SD Negeri 13 Sungai Kawat with six students, consisting of 2 male students and four female students. Data collection techniques used direct observation techniques, performance test techniques, and documentation techniques. The observations in cycle I students obtained an average score of 68.33% with sufficient criteria. Cycle II obtained an average score of 90% with very good criteria. The observations of teacher activities obtained an average score of 88.33 with good criteria, and cycle II obtained an average score of 98.33 with very good criteria. It shows that the application of the smart reading method is going very well. The pre-cycle reading ability test showed students obtained a class average of 52.66 with fewer criteria, the first cycle obtained a grade average of 76.5 with good criteria, then continued in the second cycle obtained a class average of 90.33 with very good criteria. The increase in reading ability increased by 13.83. It shows that the ability to read using the smart reading method is successful and increasing. It can be concluded that the application of the smart reading method can improve reading skills in grade II SD Negeri 13 Sungai Kawat for the 2021/2022 academic year.

Abstract

This study aims to review and provide efforts to prevent students' moral crises about strengthening character, faith, piety and noble character of 5th grade elementary school students. This research uses the Library Research method. In this study, researchers collect various literatures that are in accordance with the subject of study, read, record, search, and express them theoretically in a frame of mind related to the character, faith, piety, and noble character of students. The data obtained were analyzed to find out the similarities and differences both theoretically and in reality in the field. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that strengthening students' character can be done inside and outside learning through faith, piety and noble character by paying attention to religious nuances.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the formation of students' moral values by utilizing local wisdom in Theme 7, the beauty of togetherness, sub-theme 1, the cultural diversity of my people in class IV. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation techniques, interview techniques, and documentation techniques. Data collection tools in the form of observation sheets, interview guidelines, and documentation. The research informants were fourth grade teachers and 10 fourth grade students. The results showed that: 1) The implementation of the formation of students' moral values by utilizing local wisdom in Theme 7 The Beauty of Togetherness Sub-theme 1 Cultural Diversity of my Nation Class IV SDN 01 Tempunak can be carried out through four activities, namely: routine activities, spontaneous activities, exemplary and conditioning. 2) The factors that influence the formation of students' moral values by utilizing local wisdom in Theme 7 The Beauty of Togetherness Sub-theme 1 Cultural Diversity of my Nation class IV SDN 01 Tempunak basically consists of internal factors and external factors, namely internal factors in the form of: Lack of Effectiveness of Learning Curriculum, Lack of use of learning resources that contain local wisdom. External factors in the form of weak parental attention in supervising children's interactions outside school, lack of school cooperation with local community leaders. 3) the teacher's obstacles in influencing the formation of students' moral values by utilizing local wisdom in Theme 7 The Beauty of Togetherness Subtheme 1 Cultural Diversity of my Nation class IV SDN 01 Tempunak which consists of several obstacles, namely the misuse of mass media and the development of information technology which is used for negative things, the environment people who do not support local cultural expressions.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of the “Program Sekolah Penggerak” (PSP) in 2021 at SDN 23 Menyumbung, Sintang Regency. The research method used is a qualitative study in the form of school ethnographic research. The subjects of this study were principals, teachers, students and representatives of parents of students at SDN 23 Mengumbung. Data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and document studies. Data collection tools in the form of observation guidelines, interview guidelines and supporting documents. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that: 1) the leadership competence of principals has increased in terms of designing policy directions, managing human resources, designing school budgets and building partnerships with stakeholders after PSP intervention; 2) There is an adaptation to changes in teacher performance in the learning process, namely the teacher guides students more intensively in class and uses media so that students understand the material more easily; 3) Several internal factors that support the initial change in the implementation of PSP at SDN 23 Contributing, namely: the attitude, commitment and managerial competence of the principal, the teacher's performance and positive response to changes in education policy, parental support through the school committee, and school conditions that can relate to electricity and internet network. Meanwhile, external factors are the socio-economic-cultural conditions of the community, support from industry and local government and support for local government policies.

Abstract

The pandemic period demands and challenges students to learn independently because independent learning determines the success of student learning. This study aims to describe the learning independence of elementary school students in a social science subject during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research subjects were 40 students in grade VI SDK Santo Kristoforus Jakarta, random sampling. This research is a qualitative case study through interviews, observation, and questionnaires as supporting instruments. Data were analyzed using qualitative analysis and inductive conclusions. The results of this study show that the independent learning of students in grade VI of Elementary Schools in Jakarta is in a Good category with an average of 72%. In order to support and realize student independence during a pandemic, a social science subject in elementary school needs to strengthen learning methods that build the capacity of students' curiosity and self-confidence to increase their self-motivation so that the aspect of student independence becomes a strong adaptive instrument in learning social science and other academic fields in pandemic situations.

Abstract

This research is aims to describe the Implementation of Adiwiyata in Planting Environmental Care Grade 3 at SDN Bhayangkari, Serang City. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods to build knowledge through understanding by investigating a social phenomenon. Objectives there are 2 Knowing the process of implementing Adiwiyata and the Impact of Adiwiyata Implementation. The results of the study include: first, the process of implementing adiwiyata at Bhayangkari State Elementary School in Serang City, namely, habituation activities, understanding in learning and extracurricular activities. Second, the impact on students from the implementation of adiwiyata, has positive results and has a good influence on the character of caring for the student's environment, namely that there has been a change in students in the role of maintaining the environment and compliance with regulations.

Abstract

The success of Indonesia's education digitization program is highly dependent on the readiness of three aspects that can at least be said to be good enough in responding to digital-based education namely, regulators, teachers or teachers, and students. With the government assistance program in the form of ICT equipment for elementary schools in the form of chromebooks, it is hoped that digitalization-based learning can be realized. Sungai Kakap 18 Public Elementary School is a driving school that has received chromebook assistance from the Ministry of Education and Culture. The purpose of this study was to analyze the implementation of learning by utilizing chromebooks in class IV SD Negeri 18 Sungai Kakap. This type of research used qualitative research. The data source for this research is a person, namely the homeroom teacher. The data collection technique used is technical triangulation, with data collection tools used interviews and observation sheets. Qualitative data analysis is inductive in nature including data reduction, data presentation, conclusion/verification). Based on the results of the studies that have been carried out, it can be interpreted that 1) the teacher has utilized most of the existing applications in the cromebook cromebook in science learning in grade 4; 2) The interaction between students and teachers has a high intensity when compared to the learning process which is carried out without using chromebook media; 3) The use of digital cromebook media in social studies learning shows that it is quite adequate in most of the applications commonly used in learning activities; 4) Student responses to the features of the Chromebook used during science teaching and learning activities in class; for them it is very pleasant, the more excited; learning using chromebooks makes it easier for them to understand learning and easily find learning material or resources; and 5) Students don't feel the need to carry a lot of books every day to attend lessons at school.

Abstract

The aims of this study were to describe: 1) The teacher’s role in instilling empathy in children aged 5-6. 2) Factors that influence in instilling empathy abilities in children aged 5-6, 3) The efforts of teachers in instilling empathy abilities in children aged 5-6. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive form. Data collection techniques used were observation, interview, and document. The subjects in this study consisted of one teacher and nine students of B1 class. The data analysis technique used was Miles and Huberman's data analysis. The results of the study show that: 1) The teacher's role in instilling the ability of empathy in children aged 5-6 has been mastered by students, namely being able to empathize, being a role model, understanding children's negative emotions, revising apologizing, increasing patience, avoiding punishment, and finally fulfilling basic needs of children. 2) Factors that influence in instilling the ability to empathize in children aged 5-6, namely the state of the individual, problems in the process of development and the environment. 3) The teacher's efforts in instilling the ability of empathy for children aged 5-6, namely the teacher used the storytelling method, the lecture method, and the habituation method. The role of the teacher in instilling this empathy ability can occur because interaction, socialization, and provision of positive habituation and the right stimulus through learning methods at school so that the empathic abilities of children aged 5-6 can be well embedded.

Abstract

This study aims to develop tablet puppet learning media to improve reading skills in first grade elementary school students. The research was conducted using the Research and Development method with the ADDIE development model through the analyze, design, development, implementation and evaluation stages. The research was conducted at 27 Gernis Public Elementary School in grade 1 with 70 participants. The tablet dummy media developed was validated by 2 material experts with an average score of 4.80 in the "valid" category, 2 design experts with an average score of 75 in the "valid" category, and 2 media experts with an average score of 4.86 in the "valid" category. ”. The results of the analysis were carried out by empirical tests including individual tests, small group tests, and large group tests each showing a "very good" attitude in using tablet puppet learning media. The test for the effectiveness of media use was carried out by a gain score test with a value of 0.71 in the "High" category. Based on the results of this analysis, it can be concluded that tablet puppet learning media can be applied to improve reading skills in grade 1 elementary school students.
