Abstract

Purpose: The primary aim of this community service program is to educate residents of Sidokumpul Village, Bangilan District, Tuban Regency, about the benefits of biofarmaka plants. The initiative addresses the underutilization of household yard space by encouraging the cultivation of biofarmaka, significantly enhancing community welfare through sustainable agricultural practices.Method: The study employs community education methods, including counseling, socialization, lectures, and discussions on biofarmaka utilization. Training sessions further facilitate technology diffusion, ensuring residents are well-informed about cultivation and processing techniques.Practical Applications: The research findings enable community members to effectively utilize their yard space, increasing household productivity and fostering self-reliance. This leads to improved economic conditions, as residents can produce processed products with higher added value, enhancing their household economy.Conclusion: The study concludes that the community understands the benefits of biofarmaka and has started cultivating them in their yards. Residents are also capable of creating higher-value processed products, contributing to a broader understanding of sustainable agriculture and improving household economies.

Abstract

Purpose: This research aims to enhance financial literacy among families in Duwet Village, Indonesia, focusing on effective financial planning and management. The issue investigated is the low awareness and practice of financial management, which is crucial for maintaining economic stability.Method: The study employed a community service approach, involving socialization sessions targeted at mothers in the Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) group. Data were collected through participant engagement and feedback, enabling a comprehensive understanding of their financial literacy needs.Practical Applications: The findings have significant implications for improving family financial management practices, promoting economic stability, and enhancing the overall quality of life for families in the community. Increased literacy can lead to better budgeting, savings, and investment decisions.Conclusion: The study demonstrated a notable increase in financial literacy among the mothers of PKK in Duwet Village, emphasizing the importance of community-based education in empowering families for effective financial management.

Abstract

Purpose: This research paper aims to address waste management issues in Peninjoan Village, Tembuku District, Bangli Regency, by educating elementary school students on effective practices. This initiative is significant for promoting environmental sustainability and community development.Method: The study uses an educational intervention at SDN 5 Peninjoan, collecting data through workshops and observational feedback. Qualitative analysis assesses students' understanding and their ability to transform waste into useful items.Practical Applications: The findings demonstrate practical applications, including improved community cleanliness, increased environmental awareness, and the development of marketable products, enhancing the income potential for families.Conclusion: Educating students on waste management fosters creativity and responsibility, allowing them to convert waste into valuable items. This research emphasizes the importance of integrating waste management education into school curricula to tackle environmental challenges effectively.

Abstract

Purpose: This research paper aims to address the lack of employment and skills among young members of Karang Taruna in the Bonsai thematic village. It explores the potential for entrepreneurship to enhance their standard of living and contributes to youth empowerment within rural communities.Method: A qualitative research design was employed, utilizing workshops as the primary data collection method. Participants included Karang Taruna members and teenagers from the Bonsai village. The workshops focused on interactive learning about entrepreneurship, with data collected through participant feedback and observations.Practical Applications: The findings emphasize the practical benefits of entrepreneurial education, which can reduce idle time and foster economic activity. Skills acquired can lead to increased engagement in the bonsai business and other ventures, improving economic prospects for local youth.Conclusion: This study highlights the need for entrepreneurial education to combat youth unemployment in the Bonsai thematic village. The workshop serves as an effective intervention, demonstrating how targeted education can empower communities and improve livelihoods.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to address the marketing challenges faced by small and medium enterprises (SMEs) at the Khadijah Orphanage, South Jakarta, focusing on improving product appeal, pricing, and promotion to boost sales and income for the orphanage.Method: The research is based on a socialization event held on February 25, 2023, by Universitas Indonesia Maju’s Faculty of Communication Science. Data were gathered through observations and discussions with 25 participants, including orphanage staff and residents.Practical Applications: The findings suggest that SMEs at the orphanage can improve sales by enhancing product appeal, adopting competitive pricing, and expanding promotional efforts through agents, rather than relying solely on direct sales to consumers.Conclusion: Effective marketing strategies, including better product presentation, pricing, and broader promotion channels, can increase the competitiveness of SMEs at the orphanage, contributing to their financial sustainability.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to improve public understanding of the KPU Helpdesk website for submitting complaints during the 2024 election, addressing issues in data verification and promoting more effective use of the platform.Method: Direct assistance was provided to guide the public in navigating the KPU Wajo Regency Helpdesk website, filling out forms, and uploading documents.Practical Applications: The findings help enhance the accessibility and usability of complaint services, supporting more accurate data verification and active public participation in the election process.Conclusion: The study showed high public enthusiasm for submitting complaints and increased participation in minimizing data errors, highlighting the value of user support for better election management.

Abstract

Purpose: This research paper aims to evaluate the accounting information system for cash receipts and expenditures at PT Graha Jember Lestari. It addresses the system's functions, documents, records, and procedures, highlighting the need for a tailored approach to improve management and financial reporting.Method: The study utilizes the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method for data collection and analysis, focusing on current accounting practices and the use of Microsoft Excel and Word for processing cash transactions.Practical Applications: The findings suggest that implementing a more suitable accounting information system can enhance data accuracy and streamline financial reporting, ultimately improving decision-making and efficiency in managing cash flow.Conclusion: The research concludes that PT Graha Jember Lestari must adapt its accounting information system to better meet operational needs. While Microsoft Excel and Word are currently used, they are not optimal for efficient cash transaction processing, highlighting the importance of tailored accounting practices to resolve operational challenges.

Abstract

Purpose: This community service project aims to revitalize Walet Park by improving its cleanliness and using it for planting TOGA (Family Medicinal Plants), addressing cleanliness issues and vacant land in the park.Method: The project involved cleaning the park and planting TOGA in selected areas, with volunteers participating in both activities to enhance the park’s ecological value.Practical Applications: The revitalization transformed Walet Park into a domestic tourist attraction, promoting local tourism and educating the community about the benefits of medicinal plants.Conclusion: Walet Park's transformation into a tourist site highlights the impact of community projects in improving public spaces and addressing local environmental concerns.

Abstract

Purpose: This research paper aims to assess the compliance of the Regional Secretariat of Jember Regency with the Ministry of Finance Regulation 59/PMK.03/2022 on calculating, collecting, depositing, and reporting taxes on purchased goods, focusing on the implementation of Income Tax Article 22.Method: The study uses Action Research with qualitative methods, gathering data through observations and interviews with staff in the General Affairs Section to evaluate their tax practices.Practical Applications: Findings indicate effective calculation and collection of Income Tax Article 22 but highlight a need for clearer regulations regarding reporting Income Tax Returns (SPT). These insights can enhance tax compliance and improve public service delivery in local governance.Conclusion: The study confirms that the General Affairs Section complies with the Ministry of Finance Regulation in calculating and collecting Income Tax Article 22. However, it identifies a regulatory gap in SPT reporting, contributing to a broader understanding of local tax compliance issues.

Abstract

Purpose: This research examines the challenges faced by MSMEs in Indonesia when obtaining halal certification through the SEHATI 2022 program. It focuses on obstacles like the complexity of procedures and lack of awareness about the program and SIHALAL system, impacting micro-businesses' ability to secure halal certification.Method: The study uses qualitative methods, including interviews with halal facilitators and MSMEs, and document analysis related to the SEHATI 2022 program. Thematic analysis was applied to identify challenges in understanding and using the SIHALAL system.Practical Applications: The findings highlight ways to simplify the halal certification process for MSMEs, emphasizing the need to increase awareness and improve the role of halal facilitators. This can help more businesses benefit from SEHATI 2022 and enhance market opportunities for halal-certified products.Conclusion: While SEHATI 2022 offers financial support, complex procedures and low awareness hinder MSMEs. Strengthening facilitation and simplifying the SIHALAL system are crucial for improving halal certification access for micro-entrepreneurs.
