Abstract

This research aims to develop innovation in physics education by integrating gamification methods into a flipchart learning media, to assess the suitability of the media, eliciting responses from both students and teachers, and identifying improvements in conceptual understanding. The research methodology employed is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE method. The instruments used include expert validation sheets, pre-test, and post-test sheets, as well as student and teacher response questionnaire sheets. The research results indicate that expert validation yielded an average of 86.25%, meeting the criteria of being highly suitable. This is followed by content suitability at 83.33%, presentation at 87.5%, language at 91.67%, media at 86.90%, and conceptual understanding at 83.33%, demonstrating that all aspects of the assessment criteria are highly suitable. Furthermore, the students' N-Gain shows an average of 0.77, falling within the high criteria. The results of the student and teacher response questionnaire sheets also indicate percentages of 93.03% and 90%, respectively, meeting the criteria of being highly suitable and receiving positive responses after implementation. In conclusion, the gamified flipchart learning media can be utilized to enhance students' conceptual understanding of Newton's laws in the eleventh-grade.

Abstract

The Problem Based Learning model  is able to stimulate students to analyze problems, provide hypotheses, search for data, process data and conclude the results of analysis of answers to problems. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the application of E-Magazine-assisted Problem Based Learning  on learning outcomes. And knowing the response of students to the use of  Problem Based Learning assisted by E-Magazine in learning static fluid material. This research was carried out at SMAN 7 Bengkulu City in the odd semester of 2023/2024. The research method used is pre-experimental research  using a one group pretest-posttest design. The instruments used are objective question test sheets and response questionnaire sheets. Hypothesis test with statistical analysis  of t-test paired samples test obtained significance results (1-tailed) of <.001 < 0.05. The results of student responses to the problem-based learning model (Problem Based Learning) assisted by E-Magazine are 90% with very good criteria.  Based on this research, it can be concluded that  Problem Based Learning assisted by E-Magazine has an influence on student learning outcomes in static fluid material.

Abstract

North Bengkulu has a significant level of earthquake virility. One method to identify this virginity is through research into the correlation between Peak Ground Acceleration (PGA), Peak Ground Velocity (PGV), and Modified Mercalli Intensity (MMI). The data used came from the United States Geological Survey (USGS), which is secondary data. The data processing process involves applying an empirical formula that describes the relationship between PGV and intensity, as well as PGA and earthquake intensity. Furthermore, the results of the PGA & PGV calculations are incorporated into ArcGis 10.8 to create PGA&PGV contour maps, and the relationship curves of PGA to PGV, PGA, and MMI, and PGV & MMI using Excel 2019. The results of the analysis show that the largest PGV PGA value is in Arga Makmur district which has a intensity of 4.

Abstract

Untai uji Fasilitas Simulasi Sistem Pasif (FASSIP) merupakan fasilitas uji eksperimen sistem pendingin pasif untuk pengambilan panas sisa hasil peluruhan yang dihasilkan oleh teras reaktor selama kondisi kecelakaan. Cooling tank Section (CTS) merupakan salah satu komponen dari fasilitas untai FASSIP 03 NT. Komponen ini dilengkapi dengan penukar kalor (heat exchanger), terdapat 3 jenis  penukar kalor yang dapat diaplikasikan pada CTS. Yaitu penukar kalor tipe Straight Pipe Heat Exchanger (SPHE), tipe Straight Pipe Fins Heat Exchanger (SPFHE) dan tipe Helical Pipe Heat Exchanger (HPHE). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kinerja tiga tipe penukar kalor dengan metode perhitungan meggunakan persamaan one-dimensional steady heat conduction. Proses perhitungannya menggunakan software Matlab. Penukar kalor tipe HPHE mempunya panjang yang jauh lebih besar yaitu 5,176 m sehingga tahanan termalnya (Rth) sangat kecil yaitu sebesar 0.004171 ℃/W. Perubahan laju energi kalor pada CTS dengan penukar kalor HPHE sebesar 2397 watt. Untuk mencapai mencapai selisih temperatur air sekunder CTS (ΔT2) sebesar 5 ℃, penukar kalor tipe HPHE membutuhkan waktu 3,464 jam.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan siswa yang tidak mendapatkan pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan gaya belajarnya, dan tidak diberikannya pengajaran kembali kepada siswa yang tidak tuntas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh, peningkatan, dan respon penggunaan metode Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review (SQ3R) dalam remedial teaching terhadap hasil belajar siswa read-write. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMAN 5 Kota Tangerang Selatan dengan sampel 36 siswa read-write. Metode penelitian yang digunakan, yaitu quasi experiment dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent control group design. Sampel dipilih secara purposive sampling dari 142 siswa kelas X IPA. Sampel dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol dengan jumlah yang sama. Hasil uji hipotesis posttest dengan uji Mann-Whitney U pada  diperoleh nilai sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,004 dengan kesimpulan H1 diterima (terdapat pengaruh metode Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review (SQ3R) dalam remedial teaching terhadap hasil belajar siswa read-write). Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa read-write di kelompok eksperimen sebesar 0,85 dengan kategori tinggi. Peningkatan hasil belajar kelompok eksperimen mengalami peningkatan dengan kategori tinggi pada ranah kognitif C1 (0,77), C3 (0,94), dan C4 (0,73) . Hampir seluruh siswa read-write (78%) memberikan respon positif terhadap penggunaan metode SQ3R.

Abstract

This study is the development of a microhydro demonstration tool based on contextual teaching and learning aimed at testing the feasibility of the media, understanding the responses of students and teachers to the media, and determining the level of students' understanding of dynamic fluid material in grade XI at SMAN 11 Kota Bengkulu. The method used in this study is R&D using the ADDIE model. Research instruments include expert validation sheets, questionnaires for student and teacher responses, as well as pre-tests and post-tests. The expert validation results show final percentages by three validators of 82.89%, 92.1%, and 93.4%, with an average percentage of 89.47%, interpreted as highly feasible. The results of student and teacher response questionnaires show a percentage of 95.11%, interpreted as highly feasible. Furthermore, the improvement in students' conceptual understanding, measured by N-gain at 0.73, falls into the criteria of high improvement in students' understanding of dynamic fluid material. Therefore, the CTL-based microhydro demonstration tool is considered suitable for improving students' conceptual understanding of dynamic fluid material.

Abstract

Pengukuran survei geolistrik umumnya dilakukan dengan alat resistivity meter yang memiliki harga sangat mahal, karena itu dilakukan penelitian untuk merancang alat yang lebih murah dibandingkan dengan alat yang umumnya digunakan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan sensor arus INA219 dan sensor tegangan, keypad 4x4, RTC, LCD 2x16 dan module mikro SD. Metode survei yang digunakan dalam uji coba alat ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan menggunakan konfigurasi dipole-dipole dalam skala laboratorium. Pengujian pada alat dirancang dalam wadah yang berisi pasir, dengan ukuran sepanjang 60cm, lebar 40cm dan kedalaman 30cm, serta jarak setiap elektroda 5cm. Pengujian sensor tegangan mempunyai tingkat akurasi 96% dan sensor arus sebesar 83% yang didapat dari perbandingan dengan multimeter terhadap variasi tegangan dan arus yang berbeda-beda pada setiap pengujian. Data yang diperoleh dalam pengujian nilai resisitivitas semu yang menghasilkan 33 variasi data dengan nilai resistivitas dengan nilai yang didapat mulai dari 1,28W hingga 10,01W sedangkan untuk faktor geometri yang didapat mulai dari 0,94 hingga 113,04m bergantung dari perpindahan elektroda potensial dan untuk resistivitas semu yang didapat mulai dari 3,61 hingga 252,94Wm. Hal ini sesuai dengan tabel nilai resistivitas pasir sebagai sampel berkisaran 1 hingga 1000Wm.

Abstract

Iron Dome is a defense system used in wars between countries. This defense system became very popular during Israel's invasion of Gaza in 2023, even though this technology was introduced by Israel in 2011. The concept of the Iron Dome defense system is to prevent enemy missiles from entering the defense area by launching missiles at the enemy missiles. so that at a certain distance the missile is destroyed before it reaches the area. This principle is very interesting as a way of learning physics that is contextual to life. The aim of this research is to simulate the motion of missiles and missiles using the Iron Dome working principle based on the MATLAB GUI. This research method consists of several stages, namely literature study, creating a Graphic User Interface for the MATLAB display, coding to run the GUI, and testing the running of the MATLAB program that has been created. The results obtained are a MATLAB-based program or application for simulating Iron Dome principles. By creating the Iron Dome simulation, students become more interested and understand the concept of motion kinematics more easily because it is very contextual to life.

Abstract

Kalibrasi adalah serangkaian kegiatan untuk menetapkan hubungan, dalam kondisi tertentu antara suatu nilai besaran yang ditunjukkan oleh peralatan ukur atau system pengukuran, atau nilai yang dipresentasikan oleh bahan ukur atau bahan acuan dengan nilai terkait yang direalisasikan oleh standar (Vocabulary Of Basic and General Teams in Metrologi-VIM 1993). Kalibrasi menentukan perbedaan (deviasi) antara pembacaan alat ukur atau bahan ukur (yang digunakan sebagai standar) dengan (taksiran) nilai benar. Dilakukannya kalibrasi untuk mengetahui nilai koreksi atau kesalahan dan nilai ketidakpastian pengukuran alat jangka sorong digital. Dalam penelitian ini jangka sorong digital yang digunakan adalah jangka sorong digital yang mana sama-sama memiliki ketelitian 0,01 mm dan kapasitas ukur 300 mm. Alat ukur standar yang digunakan dalam kalibrasi Jangka sorong digital ini adalah caliper cheker dan gauge block yang ditoleransi berdasarkan JIS B 7507: 2016. Sehingga dari hasil pengamatan yang dilakukan pada kalibrasi jangka sorong digital menggunakan caliper checker yang dilakukan ialah nilai kesalahan 0.01 mm dengan ketidakpastian bentangan 0,12 mm dan kalibrasi jangka sorong digital menggunakan gauge block yang dilakukan ialah nilai kesalahan 0,43 mm dengan ketidakpastian bentangan 0,43 mm sehingga dapat dikatakan jangka sorong tersebut masih dalam batas toleransi dan dalam batas wajar.

Abstract

Physics learning that occurs in schools is directed at achieving learning objectives, namely in order to master the concepts of Physics and their interrelationships and be able to use scientific methods to solve the problems they face. Physics Education Technology (PhET) is a simulation of Physics experiments that can be used as an alternative in learning. The purpose of this study is to observe the learning process and examine the influence of the use of Physics simulation in improving the ability to understand Physics concepts in students. This research was conducted at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Yogyakarta with the subject of research of grade XI Science 5 students consisting of 32 students in the first semester of the 2012/2013 academic year. While this type of research is classroom action research consisting of 3 cycles each cycle consisting of several stages, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The data obtained in this study is in the form of evaluation results and conservation sheets of affective and psychomotor aspects in each cycle. The results showed that the application of simulation in learning can improve students' mastery of concepts. This is proven by the increase in cognitive, affective and psychomotor abilities of students.
