Abstract

Arabic language learning methods that are less interesting tend to be boring, so the Teams Group Tournaments method assisted by Quizizz media can be a solution that can be applied. The aims of this research are: (1) to describe how to apply the Teams Group Tournaments method assisted by Quizizz media in learning Arabic vocabulary (2) to obtain information regarding student responses regarding the application of Teams Group Tournaments assisted by Quizizz media in learning mufradat. This research method is descriptive qualitative; data collection methods are observation and interview. The results of this research include: (1) there are strengths and weaknesses in implementing the Teams Games Tournament type cooperative learning model assisted by Quizizz in this research. The strength is that students become more enthusiastic, motivated, and easy to understand in learning Arabic, while the weakness is that the internet does not work, the class becomes noisy, and the projector LCD must be able to connect (2) the implementation of the Teams Group Tournaments method assisted by Quizizz media in learning  Arabic vocabulary makes students enthusiastic, happy, interested and easy to understand in learning Arabic, mainly Arabic vocabulary. The conclusions can be drawn, namely (1) the methods and media are very suitable for use in learning Arabic, (2) the level of student motivation in learning Arabic has increased, and (3) student satisfaction in the learning process that has been carried out has been achieved.

Abstract

The use of AI-based chatbots such as ChatGPT offers great potential to improve the learning experience, including for Arabic Language and Literature students. On the other hand, the use of ChatGPT can also lead to excessive dependence on technology, thereby ignoring other learning sources and even ignoring academic morals and ethics. Therefore, this research aims to explore the use of ChatGPT among Arabic language and literature students, with a focus on the opportunities and challenges faced. This type of research is field research using a qualitative approach. Researchers conducted in-depth interviews as a data collection technique. The data obtained was then analyzed through three stages, transcribing data, member checking, and coding. The research results show that Arabic language and literature students use ChatGPT more for their assignment needs, especially assignments related to papers writing. Apart from that, they also use ChatGPT to find out about Arabic literary theories and the writers with their biographies, generate creative ideas, translate texts, look for references and thesis themes, and even use ChatGPT as a discussion partner. But unfortunately, they have not maximized ChatGPT as a medium to strengthen their Arabic language skills. The ability to validate information obtained via ChatGPT is also a very important issue so that students obtain reliable and accountable knowledge.

Abstract

This study is a research and development (R&D) investigation employing the ADDIE development model, a model devised by Robert Maribel that comprises five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research focuses on a fourth-grade class at MIN 5 Sukarame, comprising 25 students—13 male and 12 female. The validators for this study include subject matter experts and media experts. The data collection method involves pre-test and post-test data, and the T-test is employed for statistical analysis. The findings of this research are as follows: (1) The process of creating Kinemaster-based animated video media to enhance students' comprehension, (2) The developed media is highly acceptable, with material experts giving it a 93% approval rating and media experts rating it at 96.25%. The product's effectiveness is evident in the significant difference in learning outcomes, reaching 38.75. The T-test analysis yields t0 = 62.5, which is greater than the t-table value of 2.093. In conclusion, the Kinemaster-based animated video media for enhancing students' understanding of Arabic is deemed highly acceptable and effective.

Abstract

Cognitive linguistics has become an essential reference for many specialists and researchers in teaching and learning languages. This is in building their educational curricula and developing their linguistic research. It aims to analyze and treat linguistic aspects related to the human brain through research into the conceptual structures of meaning, mental perception, the processes controlling thinking, and the internal organization of the mental lexicon. This library research analyzes the mental dictionary in the Arabic learning context using a deductive-cognitive linguistic approach. The results show ten weights and activating the mental lexicon among learners that can be used in Arabic learning. Furthermore, the study reveals learning strategies for activating the mental lexicon.

Abstract

The main challenge after COVID-19 is the implementation of the new normal era in education, where schools are faced with a choice of three curricula: the 2013 Curriculum, the Emergency Curriculum (simplified from the 2013 Curriculum), and the Prototype Curriculum. The research focuses on post-Covid-19 pandemic curriculum analysis at MI Nurussalam, Ngawi and supports and inhibits factors for its implementation. This research uses qualitative research methods and a case study approach. Data collection techniques involve observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The research results show that MI Nurussalam, Ngawi chose to implement the 2013 Curriculum, considering that the curriculum had been implemented before the pandemic. Supporting factors for implementing the 2013 Curriculum during the recovery period include the role of teachers as indicators of learning implementation, the use of online learning tools, and exciting learning methods. However, the inhibiting factors involve a lack of cooperation between teachers and guardians, a lack of facilities and infrastructure to support learning, student motivation both at the madrasah and at home.

Abstract

The development of Arabic language teaching has undergone a significant transformation over time. From the beginning of its spread which is closely related to the development of Islam, Arabic has become the main medium in conveying religious teachings and knowledge. The teaching of this language has undergone various changes in methods, ranging from traditional approaches to modern approaches that are more interactive. The purpose of this study is to understand the origins and heritage of the Arabic language, identify changes in teaching approaches, assess the effectiveness of teaching methods, encourage teaching innovation and improvement, and preserve and develop cultural heritage. The research method used is library research. Primary data sources include classical Arabic texts, traditional educational manuscripts, and educational institution documents. documents of educational institutions. Secondary data sources include history books, academic journals, theses and dissertations, and reports from conferences and seminars. The results show that the history of the development of Arabic language teaching has gone through an interesting evolution throughout the centuries. In the early days, Arabic language teaching was centered in madrasas and universities that developed classical text- based methods and systematic grammar. Over time, Arabic teaching methods underwent a significant transformation with the development of technology and innovative educational approaches.

Abstract

This article discusses the ambiguity and distortion of meaning contained in Surah al-Baqarah. In semantic studies, ambiguity or vagueness of meaning can be caused by several things, including the general nature of words or sentences, which are never one hundred percent homogeneous. Meanwhile, distortion occurs due to a lack of knowledge or the actions of any individuals who want to understand the verse according to their wishes and want to stimulate other people to deviate from understanding the meaning of the verse of the Qur’an.  It is hoped that this article will minimize errors in understanding the meaning of the verses of the Qur’an. This prompted the author to research the ambiguity and distortion of the meaning of the verses of Surah al-Baqarah. Using qualitative descriptive methods, researchers systematically describe the ambiguity and distortion of the meaning of verses. In the article, it was found that three verses of Surah al-Baqarah contained ambiguity in meaning, namely 220,223, and 228, and five verses of Surah al-Baqarah contained distortions of meaning, namely 190-193,255.

Abstract

This descriptive qualitative research aims to determine the method of teaching Arabic at SMPIT Tahfiz Shohibul Qur'an Kampar. Data collection from school principals and Arabic teachers used interview techniques, observation and documentation regarding Arabic teaching methods carried out at SMPIT Tahfiz Shohibul Qur'an Kampar. This research shows that there are several methods used in learning Arabic, including; 1) the method used is istima' and kitabah; 2) the method used in learning Arabic is using social media as a learning medium, and utilizing technology such as TV and others. The obstacle faced by the SMPIT Shohibul Qur'an school is the lack of adequate teachers in teaching Arabic, because of the lack of teachers in this field the competence to teach Arabic is reduced. So that only methods that already exist are used. The conclusion this research is 1) the method used is istima' and kitabah; 2) the method used in learning Arabic is using social media as a learning medium, and utilizing technology such as TV and others; 3) The obstacle faced by the SMPIT Shohibul Qur'an school is the lack of adequate teachers in teaching Arabic, because of the lack of teachers in this field the competence to teach Arabic is reduced. Abstract

Arabic plays an important role, especially for Muslims. Arabic is the language of science, both strict science and different science. Learning Arabic, with its various qualities and inspiration for studying it among the community, turns out to have obstacles and problems that must be faced because Arabic is not an easy language to master completely. This research aims to understand the mahāratul qirāah learning methodology, find out and study mahāratul qirāah skills, and find out the supporting and inhibiting factors for mahāratul qirāah abilities in students in full-day classes at SMA Muhammadiyah Gading Rejo. The type of research applied in this study is descriptive qualitative. The data sources applied in this study are primary and secondary data. Several methods for collecting data, including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the methodology used by Arabic language teachers at SMA Muhammadiyah Gading Rejo is the qirāah jahriyah method. Students still have several difficulties in learning Arabic, such as difficulty in distinguishing the meaning of letters that are mutashābihat (similarity), lack of fluency in reading Arabic texts, and less precise use of reading Arabic texts. Supporting factors in learning Arabic, especially for mahāratul qirāah, include the enthusiasm of teachers in teaching and students in learning, good interaction between teachers and students. The inhibiting factors include class conditions that are not conducive, there are some students who are unable to read Arabic texts and the Koran, and limited time for teachers to guide them during teaching and learning activities.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of character values in Arabic language learning at Al-Ikhlas female Singosari Orphanage and Dhuafa Islamic Boarding School. It aims to determine the extent of the application of scientific integration in the teaching and learning process at the Orphan and Dhuafa Islamic Boarding School and the application of character values. This research uses qualitative research with a case study research approach. The informants in this study were female student of Al-Ikhlas female Singosari Orphanage and Dhuafa Islamic Boarding School with data collection techniques using interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques use 3 stages, namely presenting data, reducing data, and drawing conclusions. The data validation technique uses data triangulation and theory triangulation. The results of this study are the impact of Arabic language learning at the Al-Ikhlas female Singosari Orphanage and Dhuafa Islamic Boarding School on bringing up identical social values in students, namely honesty, trustworthiness, shajaah, wadd/tarohim, and taawun.
