Abstract

This research reveals several significant findings related to the factors influencing the use of the Dana digital wallet platform. The study aims to examine the impact of digital platform quality, security on decision-making, and user satisfaction through trust in the Dana digital wallet. The research was conducted among users of the Dana digital wallet application, with 166 respondents as the sample. The research method employed a quantitative approach, specifically a causal associative approach, with research instruments in the form of a Likert scale questionnaire ranging from 1 to 5. Sampling was carried out using a non-probability incidental sampling technique. The analytical approach used SEM-PLS, utilizing Smart-PLS version 4.0. The research results demonstrate that the variables of digital platform quality, security, and trust have a significant direct impact on decision-making. The user decision-making variable has the most dominant direct influence, accounting for 85.6% of user satisfaction. Furthermore, digital platform quality and security significantly influence trust directly. Additionally, digital platform quality and security also have a significant indirect impact on decision-making through trust as a mediating variable.

Abstract

Throughout 2023, KiDi's pediatric clinic in Pejaten, South Jakarta treated nearly 50 children addicted to online gambling. From initially high school and junior high school teenagers, in the last three months it has been elementary school children in grades 5 and 6, mostly from upper middle class families. In the long run, their quality of life will deteriorate further. The impact of online gambling starts from no passion for life, not being able to focus on work, even getting into debt and the most fatal is to commit suicide. The focus of criminology is to find knowledge or reasons about social symptoms such as crime in society or why defendants commit their evil deeds. The purpose of this research is to find out and analyze regulations related to online gambling and child protection and analyze the causes of children committing online gambling in order to find out what prevention strategies are appropriate to minimize online gambling by children. Regulations related to online gambling are regulated as in Articles 303, 303 bis of the Criminal Code, Articles 426-427 of the new Criminal Code, and Article 27 paragraph (2) of the ITE Law. Meanwhile, child protection regulations are regulated in Law No. 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection. Prevention efforts can be carried out by supervising the association of children and providing an understanding that online gambling is a bad act and can be charged with criminal sanctions.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of financial literacy, risk tolerance, perceived usefulness, and trust perception on the financial decision-making of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in West Java. Using a sample of MSME owners, the study employs multiple regression analysis to explore the relationships between these variables. The findings reveal that financial literacy is the most significant factor influencing financial decision-making, followed by perceived usefulness, risk tolerance, and trust perception. The results underscore the importance of financial education, adoption of beneficial financial tools, and fostering trust in financial institutions for enhancing MSME financial decisions. The study offers practical and theoretical contributions, providing valuable insights for policymakers, financial institutions, and MSMEs. Future research should consider expanding the geographical scope and exploring potential moderating factors in financial decision-making.

Abstract

This article investigates the evaluation of Environmental Education learning in the era of the Independent Learning curriculum. The Independent Learning Curriculum, issued by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia, aims to provide freedom and autonomy to educational institutions in managing the learning process. With this policy, it is hoped that students can develop their competencies and character more optimally. This study analyzes how Environmental Education learning has been applied within the framework of Freedom of Learning, as well as evaluates the effectiveness and challenges faced. The findings of this study show that although Merdeka Belajar has had a positive impact, such as increasing student engagement and reducing the administrative burden on teachers, there are still some challenges in its implementation, especially related to the adjustment of learning methods and assessments.

Abstract

The results of the study show that leadership style has a significant direct influence on the ecological behavior of ASN. Inspirational and supportive leaders are able to increase ASN's commitment to environmentally friendly behavior. In addition, persistence and integrity have been shown to mediate the relationship. Leaders who are able to motivate ASN persistence and instill strong integrity values tend to be more effective in building sustainable ecological behavior. Persistence increases the ability of civil servants to survive in their efforts to implement ecological practices, while integrity encourages civil servants to act in accordance with ethical values in preserving the environment. In conclusion, an effective leadership style, with the support of persistence and integrity, can improve the ecological behavior of civil servants. These findings have important implications for the development of leadership policies that support environmental sustainability in the public sector, especially within the scope of the Jakarta Special Region Provincial Government.

Abstract

This project aims to create an objective composite wellbeing index from the point of view of the whole by using a complete welfare methodology and suggested weightings to take into account the differences between the components. Forestry total productivity (TFP) was also compared because of the importance of the environmental component in preparing the well-being index. This study examined 64 social, economic, environmental, and institutional indicators from the BPS-Statistics Indonesia, the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, and the National Disaster Management Agency. Three primary analysis elements were highlighted in this investigation. First, PCA created a weighted index of eleven important domains. Second, it creates a well-being index model for Indonesia's environmental sustainability. Third, comparing forestry's environmental dimension to its TFP. This study found that the Indonesian wellbeing model under construction weighs environmental quality, living conditions, including housing, and happiness. Indonesia's disaster-prone locations make environmental quality important, unlike other wellbeing indices. Forest degradation has decreased the composite wellbeing index, notwithstanding other socio-economic improvements. This study stands out from past research by being the first to compare the environmental dimension with forestry total factor productivity (TFP). Deforestation significantly affects the well-being index in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of work-life balance, job satisfaction, and stress levels on employee retention in the banking sector. Utilizing a sample of 300 banking employees, data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The findings indicate that work-life balance and job satisfaction have significant positive effects on employee retention, while stress levels negatively affect retention. Work-life balance emerged as the strongest predictor of retention, followed by job satisfaction. The results highlight the importance of creating a supportive work environment to improve retention rates in the banking industry. Practical implications suggest that banking companies should focus on fostering employee well-being and reducing workplace stress to retain talent. This study contributes to the existing literature on employee retention by providing insights into the banking sector, offering managerial strategies to reduce turnover, and enhancing overall employee satisfaction.

Abstract

Cross-cultural research on the influence of individuality and collectivism on employee engagement is lacking. This study aims to analyse the impact of employee financial rewards on employee engagement with a focus on individualistic and collectivistic cultures as moderating variables in a public sector organisation. This research employed standardised face-to-face open-ended interviews. The research instrument is made from one theme and five open-ended questions to address the objectives of this study. The constant comparative data analysis approach was employed in conjunction with content analysis. The researcher categorized the data based on their disparities as well as their similarities. This study found that the municipality offers its employees financial rewards; however, due to inequality, unfairness, favouritism, and political influence, employees are not rewarded fairly, leading to employees being unhappy and disengaged from their work and the organisation. The municipality does not practice either a collectivistic or individualistic culture. A poor imbalance between individualistic and collectivistic cultures reduces the impact of financial rewards on employee engagement. This study's findings emphasise that the effectiveness of financial rewards on employee engagement depends on the organisation's practices and the equilibrium of individualistic and collectivistic cultures.
