Abstract

This study aims to describe the errors and factors that cause students to make mistakes in solving trigonometry problems. This research is a descriptive research with a quantitative-qualitative approach. The data collection techniques in this study were tests and interviews. Based on the results of the study, the errors made by students were∶ (1) fact errors (68.55%), namely students did not write and incorrectly write the symbol or notation of the symbols "α" and "°" in trigonometry material, (2) concept errors (30.65%), namely students could not and incorrectly determine trigonometric comparisons and students did not understand and apply the relationship between special angles and trigonometric comparison formulas, (3) operation errors (53.23%), namely students are unable to complete root form operations correctly and incorrectly enter the value of trigonometric comparisons (4) principle errors (70.16%), namely students are wrong in applying the Pythagorean formula and cannot apply the trigonometric comparison formula. The causes of errors made by students in solving trigonometry problems are∶ (1) remembering, in the form of students' lack of ability to remember material that has been learned from simple to difficult material, (2) understanding, in the form of students' lack of ability to understand the content of previously learned material, and (3) applying, in the form of lack of ability to describe material that has been learned in new situations and involves the use of rules or principles.

Abstract

This research is based on an interview with a mathematics teacher of class X SMAN 1 Palangka Raya. Errors in solving the problems are caused by students having difficulty understanding and determining the formula used. At school, there has never been an identification of errors and causes of student errors in solving the quadratic function problems. The purpose of the research is to identify and describe the types of errors and the causes of students making mistakes in solving the quadratic function problems. This research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The research was conducted in the even semester of the 2023/2024 school year. The research subjects consisted of 42 students. Tests and interviews are data collection techniques used. After the test, three students were selected to be interviewed to find the causes of errors.  The results concluded that the types of errors made by students in solving quadratic function problems are: (1) Conceptual errors, students forget to write signs in parentheses when describing the square, incorrectly determine the formula used, and lack of student understanding of the quadratic function material. (2) Procedural errors, students are not correct in the steps when solving the problem or the completion steps are incomplete. (3) Technical errors, students are wrong in calculating the value of mathematical operations and students' inaccuracy in mathematical operations. The causes of students making mistakes are: (1) Knowledge, because students forget, and also the lack of student knowledge of the quadratic function material. (2) Understanding, most students lack understanding and lack of understanding of the quadratic function material. (3) Application, students are not precise in their solution steps.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of technology-based learning media on the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students in elementary schools. The background of this research focuses on the importance of quality education in creating superior human resources. However, many learning processes still utilize monotonous methods, leading to low student interest and learning outcomes. Therefore, this research seeks to implement technology-based learning media as an alternative that can enhance student engagement and motivation. The research method employed is a quantitative method with and experimental design. Data were collected through tests of learning outcomes before and after the application of technology-based learning media. The results of the study are expected to show a significant positive effect of using such media on improving student learning outcomes. This research is anticipated to contribute to the development of more innovative and effective teaching methods, as well as enhance the quality of education in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the difficulties faced by grade II students of SDN Kepek in writing beginning in learning Indonesian Language, and to find out the factors that affect students' ability to write beginning writing. The formulation of this research problem is what the difficulty of writing the beginning is like and what factors affect the difficulty of writing the beginning of grade II students in learning Indonesian Language at SDN Kepek. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Research site of SDN Kedek, Pengasih District, Kulon Progo Regency. The instruments used by the researcher are observation, interviews, and documentation with the research subjects of class II students, and the researcher's informant as a supporting resource person, namely the class II homeroom teacher. The data analysis and interpretation technique uses 3 stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawn. Based on the results of the research, some of the writing difficulties experienced by grade II students through their writing include: letter shapes are difficult to recognize, difficulty adjusting the height of letters, slow writing, no spaces in writing and unclear or illegible writing. Then the factors that cause difficulties in learning to write early are internal factors including weak fine motor skills, weak memory skills, and low interest in learning. Meanwhile, external factors include a lack of parental attention, a less supportive home atmosphere, the learning process at school, and the influence of technology.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 Pandemic Indonesia experienced a learning crisis. For this reason, the government needs a solution to help recover the learning crisis by implementing the Independent Curriculum in schools. This research aims to see that the PBL model can improve problem-solving and mathematical communication skills using a contextual approach. The research method used is an experimental method with a quasi-experimental type. The students of class VII junior high school with one variable system of linear equations. The test to see problem-solving and communication skills uses a pretest and posttest. The results were that the problem-solving ability pretest got a 28 and a communication score of 29. This has not yet reached completeness. After being given the treatment of students, the results of the post-test of problem-solving abilities get an average score of 75 while the post-test of communication skills is 78. The average score on problem-solving and communication abilities fulfills the KKTP which is 75. So it can be concluded that the PBL Model can improve problem-solving skills and mathematical communication using a contextual approach.

Abstract

This research aims to develop learning media including pictures storybooks for Strengthening the Character of early childhood in accordance with the Pancasila Student Profile. This book highlights elements and cultural values ​​of Central Kalimantan including characters, clothing, local food, local plants and local wisdom. The book developed contains 5 (five) stories referring to the 5 (five) themes of the Pancasila profile dimensions: devotion to God, Independence, Mutual cooperation, Global diversity, Critical reasoning and Creativity.  The development model used in this research refers to the Borg & Gall model. The research involved experts to carry out validation tests, include design, language and children's story experts. Respondents consisted of early childhood education teachers. The instrument data used includes questionnaires and interview sheets. Responses from teachers and students are analyzed to measure the practicality of using the product. This research is expected to make a significant contribution to children's character education and strengthen the profile of Pancasila students among the younger generation as well as provide new insights for the development of interesting and useful learning media for young children. Apart from that, it also encourages collaboration between educators and experts in creating teaching materials that are in accordance with the curriculum.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the use of Wordwall learning media in increasing student activity in learning the Al-Qur'an and Hadith in class VIII MTs Darul Amin Palangka Raya. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation, documentation and questionnaires. The results of using Wordwall media involved 24 students and showed a very positive response. As many as 100% of students felt that learning was more interesting and less boring, and 95.8% of students felt happy using Wordwall. In addition, 91.7% of students stated that they wanted to use Wordwall again in the next lesson, and 83.3% of students believed that this media helped them understand the material better. Wordwall media has been proven to increase student participation in group discussions, motivate them to ask questions, and facilitate problem solving exercises. Thus, Wordwall can be an innovative solution for creating an interactive and fun learning atmosphere. Teachers are expected to be able to apply this media on an ongoing basis to support more effective learning and according to students' needs.

Abstract

Chemistry learning at the high school level is often considered difficult due to the abstract nature of the material and the lack of interactive teaching materials that support students' learning styles. This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of an Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) e-Module on Hydrocarbons as an interactive teaching resource. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection was conducted through student needs questionnaires and interviews with teachers at SMAN 3 Kota Tangerang, followed by validation by experts and a trial with students from class XI7. The results show that the developed e-Module has excellent quality based on expert validation and received positive feedback from students during the trial. Students found the module engaging, easy to understand, and effective in helping them grasp the concepts of hydrocarbons through the IBL steps. Therefore, this e-Module can serve as an innovative alternative in chemistry learning, particularly for the hydrocarbons topic, to create a more interactive and enjoyable learning experience.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the perceptions of Pre-service PPG students regarding the implementation of the PPG hybrid Learning program at Palangka Raya University in 2024. This research uses descriptive research with quantitative and qualitative approaches with survey research type. The population in this study were all PPG Pre-service students totaling 133 people. Data collection techniques by distributing questionnaires consisting of closed and open questionnaires. Before being used, the questionnaire was first validated and obtained a value of V = 0.86> 0.8 including the high category and the reliability test obtained a value of PA = 91%> 75% including the good category and feasible to use. The results showed that the perceptions of Pre-service PPG students towards the implementation of the PPG Hybrid Learning program at Palangka Raya University were obtained in the aspects of learning implementation, learning activities and learning completeness were included in the very good category, this can be seen from the questionnaire results where students who answered agree and strongly agree reached more than 80%, some even more than 90%. Whereas in the aspect of lecture halls and learning facilities, it is still included in the insufficient category, especially in the statement about the facilities provided by the campus being adequate in the implementation of hybrid learning, this can be seen from the results of the student questionnaire who answered agree and strongly agree only reached 35%, which means there are still around 65% of students who answered disagree and disagree in the questionnaire given. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman siswa dalam konsep operasi hitung bilangan kecil. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan penerapan model Pembelajaran Matematika Realistik berbantuan Blok Dienes untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SDN 1 Paring Lahung. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama dua siklus. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada siklus I jumlah siswa yang memperoleh nilai ketuntasan minimal 70 sebanyak 1 siswa (11,1%) dan yang tidak memenuhi nilai ketuntasan minimal 70 sebanyak 8 siswa (88,8%) dengan nilai rata-rata siswa sebesar 25, 8. Pada siklus 2 mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan, jumlah siswa yang memenuhi nilai ketuntasan minimal 70 sebanyak 10 siswa (90,9%) dan yang tidak memenuhi nilai ketuntasan minimal 70 sebanyak 1 siswa (9,1%) dengan nilai rata-rata siswa sebesar 84 ,8. Hasil belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 79,8%. Dapat disimpulkan bantuan bahwa penerapan model Pembelajaran Matematika Realistik dengan Blok Dienes dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SDN 1 Paring Lahung pada operasi hitung bilangan kecil.
