Abstract

The influence of Project Based Learning (PJBL) and Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) learning models on students' learning independence at SMK Solo. PJBL and IBL were chosen as innovative and student-centred learning models, focusing on increasing students' independence and active involvement in the learning process. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that PJBL provided a significant increase in student independence, with an average pre-test score of 44.01, increasing to 70.38 in the post-test. Meanwhile, students who took IBL experienced an increase from 46.85 to 59.77. The t-test showed a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test with a significance value of 0.000 (sig <0.05), indicating that both learning models contributed positively to increasing student independence. The results of the multivariate analysis supported this finding, with an F value of 3.052 and a significance of 0.018 (sig <0.05), indicating that PJBL was more effective than IBL in increasing independence. However, in the aspect of student creativity, no significant difference was found between the two models, with a significance value of 0.157 (sig > 0.05). In conclusion, PJBL is superior in encouraging student independence compared to IBL, and the results of this study provide important recommendations for educators to prioritize PJBL in the context of learning that focuses on developing student independence in vocational schools.

Abstract

The people of Jombang have proven their ability to coexist peacefully despite significant differences. However, with the emergence of increasing global challenges such as radicalism and intolerance, it is important to strengthen the foundations of tolerance through education. The integration of Islamic educational values has the potential to be an effective solution to face this challenge. This research aims to explore how the values of Islamic education can be integrated into the life of the people of Jombang and how it can strengthen tolerant behavior. This research was conducted in Jombang Regency, East Java Province, with the research subject of the Jombang Regency Religious Harmony Forum (FKUB) consisting of 17 interfaith and group figures. The research method used is qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. The integration of Islamic educational values in the life of the people of Jombang goes through four stages of process, namely, ta'aruf (knowing each other), tafahum (understanding each other), ta'awun (helping each other), and takafful (mutual guarantee), which is hierarchical. In addition, one important process covers the four stages, namely the ta'alum (mutual learning) process, which is carried out simultaneously with the four stages. From this study, it can be proven that the integration of Islamic educational values carried out by FKUB Jombang Regency has strengthened tolerant behavior, strengthened social bonds, and encouraged better community cohesion in the Jombang community.

Abstract

The challenges of entering the era of Society 5.0 require people to face more complex challenges. These changes have both positive and negative impacts. In connection with the progress of Society 5.0, educational institutions have new challenges, namely not only making their students academically ready but also printing them with character.  The development of the world of communication today requires people to face various complex challenges. The era of society 5.0 has an impact on all human life, both positive and negative. In this context, educational institutions are expected to be pivotal in addressing the challenges. This can be achieved by equipping students with a comprehensive understanding of religious studies. This research is included in library research using the content analysis method. This research used the following procedures: Preparing tools, preparing the work bibliography, timing, analysis, and compiling research notes. The data in the study were obtained from literature in accordance with the research topic. The new concept emerges, intact and up-to-date, from the collected and processed data. This includes gathering references manually and digitally. This research indicates that educators must prepare themselves to face the challenges of the Society 5.0 era. This preparation should entail two key areas of focus, namely character education, which at least includes five characters: religious, independent, nationalist, integrity, and cooperation, and links learning with critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This research aims to develop teaching materials based on local wisdom to improve the interpersonal skills of prospective elementary school teachers. The background of this research is based on the low interpersonal skills of prospective students of Elementary School Teachers at the Faculty of Teacher Training (FKIP) Cenderawasih University (Uncen) Papua. The strategy used to improve students' interpersonal skills is to integrate Khombouw into the teaching materials of the Basic Concepts of Science Elementary School. Khombouw is a local wisdom made of bark from red khombow trees (Ficus nodosa teijsm & Binn) and white khombow (Ficus variegata Blume), which grow in Sentani, Papua. This research is a research development (R&D) of the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation) design model. The results of student self-assessment on the implementation of teaching materials based on Khombouw Local Wisdom Model Guided Inquiry on interpersonal skills were 69.5% in the "good" criterion, 28.2% in the "very good" criterion, and 5.1% in the "quite good" criterion. Lecturers' observations of interpersonal skills showed results that were not much different, namely 74.3% on the good criteria, 25.6% on the very good criteria, and 7.6% on the good criteria. The value of N < g> obtained was 0.27 and was included in the low criteria. A thorough evaluation and in-depth analysis of the factors that affect the low N-Gain value is required.

Abstract

This study explores the development of Islamic creed education in the era of Society 5.0, focusing on technology integration and the challenges faced. The method used is qualitative, with a case study analysis of several Islamic educational institutions and interviews with educators and parents. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and literature studies to understand the application of technology in creed education and its impact on the teaching and learning process. The results show that technology integration in Islamic creed education provides significant benefits in increasing the accessibility of teaching materials, enriching teaching methods, and facilitating better interaction between teachers and students. Technologies such as mobile applications, e-learning platforms, and visual aids have expanded the way teaching materials are delivered and made it easier for students to understand the concepts of the creed. However, significant challenges arise from resistance to change, concerns about negative impacts on Islamic values, and the need for educators to be trained to utilize technology effectively. This research emphasizes the importance of a careful and planned approach to integrating technology so that Akidah education remains relevant and aligned with religious principles while accommodating technological developments.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the integration of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Islamic teaching materials in higher education. The research method used is a case study design. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation studies of existing Islamic teaching materials. The data analysis process was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing using FGD (Focus Group Discussion) technique. The results showed that the Islamic Religion course integrated various dimensions of the SDGs in the teaching materials. The social inclusion dimension proved to be the most dominant dimension, found in every chapter of Islamic Religion teaching materials. In contrast, the dimensions of environmental protection and economic growth tend to have less representation, found in only nine chapters of the entire teaching material. These findings are expected to be taken into consideration for the government in formulating regulations for the preparation of teaching materials that support the achievement of SDGs through the education sector. This research also emphasizes the importance of SDGs integration in higher education. The researcher recommends that similar studies be conducted by expanding the scope of locations, not only limited to one university.

Abstract

Nomophobia, or fear and anxiety about not having access to a cell phone, has become a common phenomenon among teenagers. Teenagers' dependence on technology, especially smartphones, has led to the emergence of nomophobia as a result of losing control of accurate information. The negative impacts of nomophobia include high stress, loss of focus, and anti-social tendencies. This research aims to examine the role of hadith in overcoming nomophobia in adolescents through character education. As a source of inspiration and guidance, Hadith can help teenagers develop better character and overcome homophobic tendencies. The method used in this research is a literature study, which collects data and reviews it from relevant reference sources, which are then connected to research to describe the problem formulation. The results of this research explain how a clearer picture of hadith can help teenagers overcome nomophobia and increase awareness of culture and social context.
