Abstract

This community service program aimed to strengthen Islamic character education among children in Plosokerep village through a collaborative pesantren kilat involving nine TPQs. The main issue addressed was the limited variation and integration of learning materials in TPQs, which tended to focus only on reading iqra’ and memorizing short surahs. Using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) and Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approaches, the program engaged 29 students as direct beneficiaries. Activities were conducted in TPQ Al-Madinah and integrated four main subjects: basic fiqh, akhlak, Arabic language, and Qur’an recitation (tahsin). Results show that more than 80% of participants improved their understanding and practice, particularly in Qur’an recitation and Islamic manners. A pesantren kilat module was produced as the main output, serving as a practical guide for TPQs to continue the program independently. The collaboration successfully fostered stronger networks among TPQs, increased social interaction, and contributed to the sustainable development of Islamic education in the community.

Abstract

Quranic learning at the Quranic Education Center (TPQ) plays a crucial role in shaping children's character and spirituality from an early age. However, in practice, various problems remain, such as students' poor understanding of makhraj and tajwid, weak learning motivation, and a lack of variety in teaching methods used by Quranic teachers at the TPQ. The primary issue of this community service program is the lack of innovation in learning methods, which results in suboptimal learning outcomes for children. The community service program employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, involving teachers, students, and parents in problem identification, method planning, implementation, and evaluation. Teachers became more confident in teaching, students became more active and motivated, and parents participated in supporting their children's learning at home. This community service program recommends that TPQs adopt a more creative and collaborative learning approach as a long-term strategy to improve the quality of Quranic education.   Keywords: Mentoring, Learning, Innovation, and Methods

Abstract

The Qur’an encompasses both spiritual and aesthetic dimensions, one of which is manifested through the art of Qira’ah. However, the current phenomenon shows that many young generations are only able to read the Qur’an technically without mastering the variations of Qira’ah tones, making the recitation sound monotonous and less engaging. This condition is also found in Palrejo Village, Sumobito Subdistrict, Jombang Regency, where although competent qaris and qari’ahs exist, structured training platforms for children and youth remain limited. To address this need, a Rapid Training of Qira’ah Seven Tones was implemented using a participatory approach that involved students, teachers, and community leaders. The program was attended by 27 participants from three local TPQs, applying lectures, demonstration, visual aids, hands-on practice, and reinforcement through digital media in the form of QR codes containing recorded materials. Evaluation results indicate an improvement in participants’ skills in reciting the Qur’an with tonal variations, development of vocal and breathing techniques, as well as enhanced self-confidence. Furthermore, this activity strengthened social bonds and religious culture within the community through active participation of various stakeholders. Thus, the Qira’ah Seven Tones training proved effective not only as a medium for improving technical skills, but also as an instrument of da’wah, character education, and the preservation of valuable local religious traditions.

Abstract

The sunnah prayer of rawatib is a form of worship that has an important position in Islamic teachings. In the context of education, teaching and fostering students' interest in the sunnah prayer of rawatib among students at the elementary school level. The purpose of implementing community service activities in the Basic Fiqh Understanding Training for Students of MI Bustanul Ulum, Nglele Village, is that students are expected to be able to understand and practice basic ubudiyyah fiqh. The approach method for implementing community service activities in schools under the School Partnership Program scheme includes lectures and discussions. The training on understanding the Ubudiyah Fiqh of Worship at MI Bustanul Ulum, Nglele Village, Sumobito District, Jombang Regency went well and in accordance with the planned objectives. This activity made a positive contribution in increasing students' knowledge, understanding, and skills regarding daily worship practices, especially prayer, thaharah, prayer, and other worship etiquette. Overall, this training is effective as a means of improving the religious competence of MI Bustanul Ulum students, as well as being a real effort in supporting the realization of a generation that is faithful, pious, and has noble character.

Abstract

Pendidikan agama merupakan fondasi penting yang sangat diperlukan dalam masa pertumbuhan anak karena berpengaruh langsung terhadap sikap dan perkembangan kepribadiannya. Pendidikan ini menjadi tahap awal dalam membentuk identitas diri anak. Salah satu cara untuk membentuk jati diri anak adalah dengan mengenalkan Al-Qur’an sejak usia dini adalah dengan memasukkan anak ke TPQ. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman ibadah wudhu dan sholat pada anak-anak TPQ Desa Budugsidorejo melalui metode partisipatif berbasis video edukasi. Kondisi di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa masih banyak anak yang belum memahami serta membiasakan kedua ibadah tersebut dengan baik. Situasi serupa juga ditemui di Desa Budugsidorejo, Kecamatan Sumobito, Kabupaten Jombang, khususnya pada TPQ Baitul Jannah dan TPQ Baitul Rohim. Metode yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR) dengan melibatkan ustadz/ustadzah, santri, dan wali santri. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada kemampuan anak-anak dalam memahami tata cara wudhu dan sholat, serta tumbuhnya semangat beribadah sejak dini. Program ini juga memberikan dampak sosial, pendidikan, dan kultural yang positif di masyarakat.

Abstract

Young people's interest in calligraphy tends to decline due to the dominance of modern digital visual culture, which is more practical and instantaneous. This has an impact on the suboptimal integration of artistic and religious values in community activities. The integration of art and religion can strengthen cultural identity while also serving as a contextual medium for preaching. The community service team conducted calligraphy training for TPQ teachers with the aim of increasing the interest of teachers and students in calligraphy. The target of this activity was TPQ teachers in Mentoro Village, Sumobito District. This training provided additional insight and skills to TPQ teachers in Mentoro Village regarding the art of calligraphy, while also fostering motivation to develop Islamic art in the educational environment. Despite limitations in time and resources, this activity still had a positive impact in terms of education, religion, and society. TPQ teachers showed great enthusiasm during the activity, so it is hoped that the knowledge gained can be passed on to students as a form of program continuity. Thus, this calligraphy training activity is the first step in strengthening the integration of art and religious values in Mentoro Village

Abstract

Kegiatan Pendampingan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat dengan tema Pemberdayaan Santri dalam Peningkatan Kualitas Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab pada Madrasah Diniyah Tanwirul Futuh Desa Sebandung Kecamatan Sukorejo dilaksanakan sebagai upaya meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran bahasa Arab melalui pendekatan pemberdayaan santri. Kegiatan ini menempatkan santri sebagai subjek aktif pembelajaran, sekaligus memperkuat peran ustadz dan ustadzah dalam mengelola pembelajaran bahasa Arab yang inovatif dan kontekstual. Pendampingan diawali dengan observasi dan pemetaan kondisi pembelajaran bahasa Arab di madrasah diniyah, dilanjutkan dengan perencanaan pembelajaran berbasis kebutuhan santri. Pelaksanaan pendampingan dilakukan melalui praktik pembelajaran langsung di kelas, pendampingan kepada ustadz dan ustadzah, serta penggunaan metode pembelajaran aktif seperti penguatan mufradat, dialog sederhana, dan latihan membaca teks bahasa Arab. Kegiatan ini juga dilengkapi dengan evaluasi dan refleksi untuk menilai efektivitas pembelajaran yang diterapkan. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian ini menggunakan metode PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal), yaitu metode pendekatan dalam proses pemberdayaan dan peningkatan partisipasi masyarakat yang bertujuan agar santri Madarasah diniyah berpartisipasi aktif dalam meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran bahasa Arab melalui , pelatihan, pembinaan. dan pendampingan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan dasar bahasa Arab santri, meningkatnya motivasi dan partisipasi aktif santri, serta meningkatnya kompetensi ustadz dan ustadzah dalam menerapkan metode pembelajaran bahasa Arab yang variatif. Pembelajaran bahasa Arab menjadi lebih komunikatif, menyenangkan, dan berorientasi pada pemberdayaan santri. Selain itu, kegiatan ini menghasilkan bahan ajar dan panduan pembelajaran bahasa Arab sederhana yang dapat digunakan secara berkelanjutan. kegiatan pendampingan ini berkontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran bahasa Arab di Madrasah Diniyah Tanwirul Futuh. Program ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model pemberdayaan santri dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab yang berkelanjutan dan dapat direplikasi pada madrasah diniyah lain dengan karakteristik serupa.

Abstract

Halal literacy assistance is important to support halal snack centers in Yogyakarta City. Three basic instruments of halal literacy used by the service team are knowledge and ability to recognize halal labels, halal awareness, and halal food ingredients. Before the assistance was carried out, the service team gave a pre-test and after the assistance was carried out, a post-test was carried out. The test results using the level of respondent achievement regarding halal knowledge, partners were very good and there was an increase after the assistance was carried out. For the departure of MSMEs, the borrower needs to provide some assistance on other materials related to the needs of MSMEs.

Abstract

Pendampingan keluarga sakinah merupakan upaya strategis untuk memperkuat fondasi keluarga di masyarakat. Penelitian pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan praktik keluarga sakinah bagi anggota kelompok PKK di Kabupaten Kampar melalui pendekatan berbasis kearifan lokal. Metode yang digunakan adalah partisipatif, meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan pendampingan praktik sehari-hari yang menekankan nilai-nilai lokal seperti musyawarah dan gotong royong. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner skala Likert pada aspek kognitif, afektif, dan praktik dengan total responden 150 anggota PKK. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pendampingan berbasis kearifan lokal meningkatkan pemahaman kognitif (rata-rata 4,2/5), sikap afektif (4,0/5), dan praktik nyata keluarga sakinah (3,8/5). Pendampingan ini terbukti efektif dan direkomendasikan sebagai model pemberdayaan keluarga yang berkelanjutan di Kabupaten Kampar dan daerah lain dengan mempertimbangkan nilai budaya lokal.

Abstract

According to Article 1 paragraph (4) of the National Education System Law Number 20 of 2003, education is carried out by developing a culture of reading, writing, and arithmetic. The habits of reading and writing are very important activities. The habit of reading can be practiced if books are available. In addition to participating in Al-Quran learning activities, students at Nurul Ilmi 316 Quran Memorization Center also attend formal education outside the boarding school. Some attend elementary school, junior high school, or high school. On Saturdays and Sundays, schools are closed, so students have a lot of free time. This free time needs to be used for useful activities. One activity that can be done is reading books that contain a wealth of knowledge. For this reason, a library is needed. The challenge faced by Quran memorization centers in general, including Nurul Ilmi 316 Quran Memorization Center, is the lack of supporting literacy facilities, namely a library. This community service program aims to improve literacy among students at the Nurul Ilmi 316  Quran Memorization Center through the establishment of a library. The methods used in this program are observation, planning, and implementation. The conclusion of this community service is that the establishment of a library can improve literacy among students at Nurul Ilmi 316 Quran Memorization Center. With increased literacy, it is hoped that academic achievement at school will also improve. The library is an important facility in supporting the educational process, shaping the character of students, and encouraging the formation of an intelligent, noble-minded Quranic generation that will serve as the successor to the nation's struggle.
