Abstract

Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) in Indonesia are pivotal in shaping character and promoting religious moderation but face challenges such as radicalism, negative perceptions, and communication conflicts. These issues can lead to crises including social tension, degraded image, internal disintegration, and threats to sustainability. This study investigates the crisis management strategies of pesantren, focusing on factors enabling and hindering success. The research employs a qualitative approach, using an interpretive paradigm to conduct in-depth interviews with 25 informants from four pesantren in East Java, supported by direct observation and document analysis. Thematic analysis reveals that effective crisis management hinges on communication readiness, fostering tolerance and moderation, and strategic collaboration with external entities like security forces and community leaders. Pesantren that swiftly respond and cultivate positive narratives through strategic communication, underpinned by a strong internal culture, better mitigate radicalism's effects and enhance their moderate image. These insights underscore the necessity of a holistic crisis management strategy to ensure the stability and sustainability of pesantren in society.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop a servant leadership model based on character education values ​​to improve the quality of learning in educational institutions. This research is based on the need to advance education that focuses not only on cognitive aspects but also on student character development and staff professionalism. The method used was Research and Development (R&D), adapting the Borg & Gall model. The research was conducted at SMK PIKA Semarang for one semester, from January 2 to May 30, 2025. Informants in this study consisted of the principal, vice principal, teachers, school committee members, students, and administrative staff. The model was tested through a feasibility test (feasibility), a limited trial, and a large-scale trial involving 25 teachers and students. The results of the study indicate that the developed Servant Character Leadership (SCL) Model is theoretically feasible and practically effective in improving educational standards. The results of the model trial showed an overall increase in the effectiveness of school service leadership of 15.75% after the SCL model was implemented, as evidenced by improvements in indicators such as student engagement, learning outcomes, and teacher motivation. This model was also deemed highly practical, with an average practicality percentage of 89.33%. The SCL model's primary contribution is providing a holistic framework that integrates a service philosophy with character values ​​(such as religiousness, nationalism, independence, mutual cooperation, and integrity), thus contributing significantly to creating a work ethic focused on character development within the educational environment.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of educational marketing management in developing the image of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 2 Semarang City. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that: (1) the stages of educational marketing implementation were effective in attracting new students, including high-achieving ones; (2) the success of marketing was closely linked to public recognition of the madrasah’s quality, as reflected in the increasing number of applicants and positive student feedback; and (3) supporting factors included visionary leadership, teacher competence, and the involvement of alumni and school committees, while inhibiting factors consisted of limited digital literacy, ineffective communication, and negative stereotypes about madrasahs. The implications of this study emphasize that well-planned educational marketing management can enhance the competitiveness of public madrasahs and serve as a model for institutional development in the context of contemporary educational challenges.

Abstract

The rapid growth of educational institutions, particularly Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), requires effective management strategies to improve service quality. Nevertheless, few studies have examined the director’s strategic role in managing facilities and infrastructure to enhance pesantren services, considering the unique complexities of this educational context.. This qualitative study investigates how the director of Pondok Karya Pembangunan (PKP) Al-Hidayah in Jambi Province formulates, implements, and evaluates strategies for service quality improvement, with a particular focus on developing the facilities and infrastructure of pesantren. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and internal documentation analysis. Findings indicate that the director employs a comprehensive strategic approach. Planning involves internal/external analysis, strategy selection, and policy formulation for facility quality. Implementation utilizes a holistic method through a dedicated coordinator, diversified funding, external collaborations, proactive maintenance, enhanced human resource capacity, and master plan development. Evaluation is conducted via a supervision program (observations/reports), routine meetings, and periodic physical audits. This research highlights effective leadership and management practices crucial for ensuring service quality in religious educational institutions amidst dynamic changes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menyajikan mengenai implementasi manajemen sumber daya manusia melalui indikator perencanaan, rekrutmen, seleksi, orientasi dan penempatan, pelatihan dan pengembangan, dan penilaian kinerja di SMK As-salam serta hambatan dalam implementasi manajemen sumber daya manusia di SMK As-salam. Adapun pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, maka diketahui bahwa implementasi manjemen sumbar daya manusia di SMK As-salam telah berjalan dengan baik, ditandai dengan adanya penyusunan perencanaan sumber daya manusia yang cukup profesional, pelaksanaan orientasi dan penempatan kerja yang memperhatikan kebutuhan sekolah dan kompetensi guru/karyawan, pelaksanaan pelatihan dan pengembangan yang terencana, dan penilaian kinerja.

Abstract

The realm of Islamic educational management is not immune to conflicts, which can arise from various sources such as differing ideologies, cultural disparities, or administrative challenges. This study delves into the multifaceted dimensions of conflicts faced by Islamic educational management students. By employing a humanistic approach, this research seeks to unravel the intricate layers of conflicts within the context of Islamic education and offers innovative solutions to mitigate their adverse effects. Drawing from theories rooted in humanism, the study explores the psychological and sociocultural aspects of conflict resolution, emphasizing empathy, understanding, and effective communication. Through in-depth qualitative analysis and case studies, the research provides valuable insights into the root causes of conflicts, enabling Islamic educational management students to cultivate a harmonious learning environment. This study not only contributes to the academic discourse but also equips future leaders in Islamic education with practical strategies to navigate conflicts, fostering a conducive atmosphere for holistic learning and personal growth.

Abstract

 Abstract: Pendidikan merupakan sesuatu yang paling penting untuk mencetak generasi yang akan datang dalam kemajuan negara melalui keilmuan yang dihasilkan. Manusia dalam menjalani kehidupan tidak bisa dilepaskan dengan lingkungan Pendidikan. Pendidikan tersebut kaitan erat dengan lingkungan keluarga, seoklah dan Masyarakat. Dimana ketiga komonen tersebut sangat berkaitan erat dalam mencetak dan mewujudkan Pendidikan yang sehat dan berkualitas. Dalam Pendidikan tentunya memiliki proses kehidupan yang Panjang dan kompleks. Manajemen Pendidikan tentunya berhubungan erat dengan stakeholders Pendidikan untuk meningkatkan sumber daya manusia yang  memiliki kualitas dan bermutu tinggi. Abstract

Penelitian ini didasarkan pada peneliti terhadap penurunan moralitas karakter bangsa, yang tercermin dalam meningkatnya perilaku pergaulan bebas, hipotesis obat-obatan, dan fenomena lainnya. Dalam konteks ini, sekolah Madrasah Tsanawiyah, khususnya dalam mata pelajaran Aqidah Akhlak, memiliki peran penting dalam menghidupkan dan menyadarkan nilai-nilai agama Islam kepada para siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif, dengan lokasi penelitian dilakukan di MTs. Asy-Syuhada. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan analisis lintas kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) perencanaan pembelajaran oleh guru Aqidah Akhlak untuk membentuk karakter yang melibatkan desain pembelajaran yang memanfaatkan media, (2) implementasi pembelajaran oleh guru Aqidah Akhlak telah sesuai dengan aturan dan tata tertib yang telah direncanakan dalam setiap kegiatan pembelajaran di Madrasah Tsanawiyah , sebagai lembaga pendidikan dasar, (3) evaluasi pembelajaran Aqidah Akhlak dilakukan melalui tugas ujian, ulangan harian, nilai Ujian Tengah Semester (UTS), dan Ujian Akhir Semester (UAS) peserta didik. Penyampaian materi pembelajaran Aqidah Akhlak dalam membentuk karakter siswa yang dilakukan oleh guru mata pelajaran di sekolah menunjukkan hasil yang memuaskan menurut hasil penelitian ini.Kata Kunci: pendidikan karakter; akhlak; generasi berkarakter

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi pemerintah memudahkan perijinan dalam mendirikan sebuah lembaga pendidikan baru menjadikan persaingan antara lembaga pendidikan semakin ketat. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif. Data yang diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Semua data dianalisis melalui beberapa tahap, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan/verifikasi data.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa: 1) Perencanaan strategi pemasaran produk pendidikan di MTs Al Islam Rowosari diawali dengan rapat bersama untuk membentuk panitia PPDB, kemudian menyusun perencanaan pemasaran pendidikan yang meliputi, penetapan tujuan, identifikasi pemasaran, produk yang ditawarkan, metode pemasaran dan anggaran pemasaran. 2) Pelaksanaan strategi pemasaran produk pendidikan di MTs Al Islam Rowosari dilakukan dengan memberikan produk pendidikan yang terbaik, melakukan pelaksanaan pemasaran, strategi khusus dan penanggung jawab 3) Evaluasi strategi pemasaran produk pendidikan di MTs Al Islam Rowosari dilakukan setiap akhir tahun pelajaran. Hasil pemasaran produk pendidikan menyatakan bahwa MTs Al Islam Rowosari terdapat peningkatan peserta didik pada tahun ini mereka mengetahui informasi tersebut melalui tokoh masyarakat. Upaya strategi pemasaran untuk ke depannya yaitu akan terus meningkatkan kepercayaannya yang tidak hanya pemasaran melalui digital dan konvensional, akan tetapi bisa menggunakan media yang lebih bagus efektif dan efisien.

Abstract

Strategic management is the science and art of planning, implementing, evaluating every decision of organization that can enable performance to meet targets and get goals. This research aims to describe strategic management which includes planning, implementation and evaluation of strategies at SDIT Citra Az-Zahra West Jakarta. The research approach and methods use descriptive qualitative using data collection through literature studies, documentation, documentation. Data analysis are carried out by collect of data, reduce of data, present of data, and draw of conclusions. Meanwhile, data validity use data and method and source triangulation. The results of research strategic management research at SDIT Citra Az-Zahra include several activities, namely planning including formulating vision, mission and goals, identifying internal and external factors, determining superior strategies, short until long-term planning. Strategic implementation is determining school policies which include government policies and the school's own policies, motivating educators and education staff by providing several awards, human resources allocated, and school culture. Strategic evaluation includes monitoring of plan and implementation, individual and school performance measured, and improvement steps taked.
