Abstract

P2MW is very suitable in achieving the vision of Amikom University Purwokerto. The number of P2MW proposals submitted in 2023 to the student affairs section still has not met the target set at 50 proposals. Based on the number of proposals funded in 2023, there are 7 proposals, this still does not meet the target set by the student affairs department, amounting to more than 10 funded proposals. This target is still far from student expectations. In order for a proposal to be funded by the Ministry, the proposal needs to comply with existing guidelines such as writing templates, business objectives, potential consumers, products, resources, marketing and finance. The Student Affairs Department of Amikom University Purwokerto also has a target that in 2024 there will be proposals funded up to the national KMI EXPO with 3 teams, because KMI EXPO is a prestigious event at the national level. The methods used are lectures, questions and answers, pitching proposals and direct practice. The result of outreach and training is an increase in the number of proposals that pass the internal campus stage.

Abstract

In 2018, RW 04 Palmerah, located in the administrative region of Palmerah, West Jakarta, was designated as one of the slum neighborhoods under Jakarta Governor Regulation No. 90. A critical aspect of this regulation addressed the issues of plastic waste and community economic empowerment. Within the context of Community-Based Economic Development through Technology in RW 04 Palmerah, community engagement initiatives aimed to address plastic waste management and enhance economic well-being through technological interventions. Employing a participatory approach, the implementation over two months not only cultivated a clean culture but also effectively processed and utilized plastic waste within the community. Despite modest and fluctuating returns, the initiative significantly contributed to the sustainable model of community-based economic development through technology in the local area, serving as a guiding framework for similar endeavors in other regions.

Abstract

The Teaching Campus is an MBKM (Free Learning Campus) program organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture with the aim of providing opportunities for students to learn and develop themselves through activities outside of lectures. This program gives students the opportunity to become teacher partners, encourage learning innovation, and develop literacy, numeracy, and technology adaptation in the 3T area. Focus is also given to efforts to increase people's interest in reading and the importance of literacy and numeracy, including the obstacles faced in its implementation. This research aims to revive the school literacy movement through literacy and numeracy familiarization activities. The research results show that technical training, understanding material concepts, and introducing technology are the main focuses of mentoring. The implementation of the Literacy and Numeracy Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) with technological devices provides positive results, including increasing understanding of numeracy material, individual development, motivation and self-confidence of students. This research provides a positive picture of the potential for improving the quality of basic education through the Teaching Campus program.

Abstract

The empowerment program through the Kemuhammadiyahan course is an implementation of Al-Ma’un theology, which teaches compassion for others through acts of social charity. This movement is realized in the form of empowering underprivileged families (keluarga dhuafa). Student groups formed as part of this course will carry out the empowerment process through an economic approach by involving various stakeholders to ensure the activities run effectively and systematically. The empowerment methods include mentoring and support based on a productive assistance approach. As a result of this empowerment, students gain a deep understanding of the social realities around them, along with the ability to design solutions rooted in Islamic and humanitarian values. Meanwhile, beneficiary families gain new hope of breaking the cycle of poverty through measurable and sustainable efforts. Overall, this program not only provides direct benefits to underprivileged families but also instills the spirit of Al-Ma’un within students, shaping them into compassionate future Muslim intellectuals who are capable of becoming agents of change in society.

Abstract

When writing final assignments or theses, many students still have difficulty processing existing citations, this is also experienced by students at Amikom University, Purwokerto. Mistakes in taking citations such as text that does not match the thesis guidelines, text fonts and spacing are not paid attention to even though you have used tools such as using applications for citations. When the student's report was checked by the supervisor, there was still a note of improvement. When reports are submitted to the library, the reports will also be checked again to see whether they comply with the library format. The majority of student reports are returned by the library for correction. This also applies when students make journals, there are still many errors in writing citations. The aim of the training is to reduce student errors in taking citations. The activity implementation method consists of the preparation stage, implementation stage and evaluation stage. The result of this training is a reduction in student errors in citing scientific articles, books and so on.
