Abstract

This research examines strategies for improving Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) among teachers by strengthening Servant Leadership, Organizational Culture, Interpersonal Communication, and Perceived Organizational Support (POS). The study, conducted in a private high school in Depok, Indonesia, utilizes a quantitative approach and path analysis to evaluate the direct and indirect effects of these variables on OCB. The results show that Servant Leadership, Organizational Culture, Interpersonal Communication, and POS all have direct positive and significant effects on OCB. Additionally, POS acts as an effective intervening variable, enhancing the impact of Servant Leadership, Organizational Culture, and Interpersonal Communication on OCB. The research findings suggest that fostering these factors can significantly improve OCB, which in turn enhances organizational effectiveness and the overall educational environment. The SITOREM analysis further identifies key indicators that need strengthening to optimize the strategies for increasing OCB in educational settings.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how the cultural value of siangkaran in the Toraja community plays a role in creating work-life balance and influencing the performance of female weavers in the Unnoni community, North Toraja. Siangkaran, as a cultural value emphasizing mutual assistance in work, has become a social practice embedded in the daily lives of the weavers. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with 22 participants who are members of the Unnoni weaving group, participatory observation, and documentation of weaving activities. The results indicate that the value of siangkaran allows for a fair distribution of workload, creates a sense of togetherness, and helps the weavers maintain a balance between domestic responsibilities and productive work. Furthermore, siangkaran contributes to improving collective performance, both in terms of timely completion of orders and the quality of the woven products. This study confirms that local cultural values can serve as effective social mechanisms to support the work well-being of women in the informal sector and promote the sustainability of community-based enterprises.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between compensation and employee retention, with a focus on the mediating roles of Blue Ocean Leadership and Employee Work Engagement among Generation Z employees in West Java. Grounded in Social Exchange Theory, the research highlights how compensation influences retention directly and indirectly. Using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), data were collected from 217 respondents representing various industries. The results reveal that compensation has a significant positive impact on employee retention. Furthermore, Blue Ocean Leadership and Employee Work Engagement mediate this relationship, though their effects are relatively limited. The findings underscore the importance of integrating financial incentives with innovative leadership practices and engagement strategies to improve retention rates. Practical implications suggest that organizations should enhance compensation frameworks while fostering inclusive leadership and meaningful engagement initiatives. Future research should explore additional mediators and longitudinal impacts to deepen understanding of these dynamics.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of Employee Satisfaction and Work-life Balance on Employee Performance at the Pati Regency Transportation Office, with Employee Engagement as a mediating variable. The method used is quantitative with the Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach. Data was obtained through the distribution of questionnaires to 120 respondents who are State Civil Apparatus (ASN) within the Transportation Office. The results of the study show that Employee Satisfaction and Work-life Balance have a significant positive effect on employee performance. However, Employee Satisfaction has no significant effect on Employee Engagement, while Work-life Balance has a significant effect on Employee Engagement. Employee Engagement also does not significantly mediate the effect of Employee Satisfaction on performance, but has a negative mediating effect on the effect of Work-life Balance on performance. These findings contribute to the literature on human resource management in the public sector and become the basis for formulating policies to improve the performance of civil servants through strategies to increase job satisfaction and work-life balance.

Abstract

This article examines the influence of communication, leadership, and budget management on project success. Project success is often determined by internal factors that play a crucial role in achieving project objectives. The study employs a qualitative approach to understand the relationships between these three variables in project management contexts. Through in-depth interviews with project managers and team members involved in various projects across several industries, the findings highlight that effective communication among team members and stakeholders is vital in ensuring projects are executed as planned. Additionally, adaptive leadership styles and the project manager's ability to manage the budget wisely were also identified as key factors contributing to project success. The article concludes that the integration of these three elements—communication, leadership, and budget management—are essential in determining the success of a project. This research provides valuable insights for professionals and project management practitioners to enhance their approaches to project management in order to achieve optimal outcomes.

Abstract

By integrating advanced software and cloud-based solutions, digital accounting (DA) and digital taxation (DT) have transformed traditional accounting and tax practices. This research looks into the effects of DA and DT on financial reporting quality (FRQ) and tax compliance (TC) among Indonesian SMEs. The research employs a survey methodology, collecting data from 207 accountants and managers in Indonesian SMEs. Using Smart PLS for analysis, the study validates the constructs and tests the hypotheses. The results indicate that DA significantly enhances FRQ and directly improves TC, while DT positively affects FRQ and, through improved report quality, enhances TC. These findings highlight the dual pathways through which digital technologies influence TC directly through operational efficiencies and indirectly via improved financial reporting. This research provides empirical evidence on the synergistic effects of DA and DT in the SME context, an area that has received limited research attention, thereby contributing to the existing literature. Adopting these digital tools can lead to more accurate financial reporting and higher TC, providing valuable insights for policymakers and SME practitioners aiming to leverage digital solutions for enhanced business transparency and regulatory adherence. The study emphasizes the necessity of tailored digital strategies to realize these benefits fully

Abstract

This paper explores the integration of ergonomics into work system design to enhance employee performance and well-being in the manufacturing sector. The primary objective of this research is to identify and analyze how the application of ergonomic principles can optimize the work environment, which in turn positively impacts employee productivity and reduces work-related injuries. The research employs a qualitative approach, using in-depth interviews and observations with employees and managers from several manufacturing companies. The findings indicate that the implementation of ergonomics not only improves physical comfort but also has a positive psychological effect, such as increased job satisfaction and motivation. Additionally, ergonomic work designs have been found to reduce fatigue and injuries, thereby improving operational efficiency and lowering costs related to absenteeism and health insurance claims. This study recommends that manufacturing companies become more proactive in integrating ergonomics into their work systems to support the long-term well-being of employees. The results are expected to serve as a reference for company policies and further research on the implementation of ergonomics in industrial work environments.
