Abstract

Breast milk is an important source of nutritional intake for babies. Breast milk is given to babies for 2 years. While exclusive breastfeeding is given to babies for 6 months without adding other foods or drinks. There is a lot of scientific evidence that shows that breast milk given exclusively during the first 6 months of life can meet the nutritional needs of babies to grow and develop. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between the knowledge of working mothers and the attitude of mothers in exclusive breastfeeding for infants aged 0-6 months. The research design used was a correlation study with a Cross Sectional approach. The population in this study was all working mothers who had babies aged 0-6 months at the Posyandu Sidomulyo Village, Semen District, Kediri Regency, totaling 21 respondents using total sampling. The variables consist of an independent variable, namely the knowledge of working mothers about exclusive breastfeeding and a dependent variable, namely the mother's attitude in exclusive breastfeeding. Data collection using questionnaires, data processing using editing, coding, scoring, tabulating and analyzed using Chi Square. The results showed that the knowledge of working mothers was good by 11 respondents (52.39%) and the attitude of mothers in exclusive breastfeeding was positive by 15 respondents (71.43%). Based on the Chi-Square analysis test shows p value = 0.000 (p value < 0.05). So that H1 is accepted means that there is a relationship between the knowledge of working mothers and maternal attitudes in exclusive breastfeeding in infants aged 0-6 months. Based on the results of the above research, it is expected to increase the knowledge and attitude of working mothers in exclusive breastfeeding for infants aged 0-6 months through counseling by health workers.

Abstract

Brain tumor are the second most common neoplasm and the most common solid tumor in children. Fifty percent to 60% of childhood brain tumors originate in the posterior fossa. These include medulloblastomas, cerebellar astrocytomas, and fourth ventricle ependymomas. The remaining 40% to 50% of childhood brain tumors are supratentorial and include astrocytoma, hypothalamic and optic pathway tumors, and craniopharyngiomas. A 19 year old child came to the hospital emergency room with complaints of dizziness. Dizziness is accompanied by headaches that dissapearing. Complaints have been felt since about half a year but have worsened for one week before at emergency room. While being treated at the hospital, the patient experienced a seizure once, when the seizure was felt for 2 minutes, it was a whole body type of seizure. Patients also experience nausea and decreased appetite. Consciousness is still fully conscious. In this case, patien can be treatment IVFD Ringer Lactate 135 cc/hour, Metamizole 250 mg/1 ml /8 hour IV, Diphenhidramin 5 mg /12 hour IV, Dexamethasone 5 mg /8 hour IV, Piracetam 500 mg/12 hour IV. In this case, Dexamethasone therapy is given which is the corticosteroid of choice in these patients because of its low mineralocorticoid activity and only reduces the symptoms caused optimally. The goal is to reduce neurological symptoms but with a dose that is lowered slowly. The main treatment is still tumor resection with neurosurgeon.

Abstract

Pineapple hump has been identified to contain secondary metabolites in saponin, flavonoid, and steroid/triterpenoid which show potential as antibacterial agents against Staphylococcus epidermidis. These bacteria are part of the normal composition of gram-positive bacteria on human skin and do not display any pathogenic characteristics. Even so, these bacteria can trigger facial skin infections, especially in the form of pimples which are often difficult to treat. This study aimed to determine the differences in bacterial inhibition of cosmetic preparations in the form of conventional serum and nano serum from pineapple hump extract (Ananas comosus (L.) Merr) against bacteria Staphylococcus epidermidis. This research uses the method of True Experimental. In this study, pineapple hump was extracted and formulated into conventional serum preparations and nano serum with various concentrations, then tested for its antibacterial activity against the bacteria Staphylococcus epidermidis. Diameter of antibacterial inhibition of conventional Serum Pineapple hump Extract against bacteria Staphylococcus epidermidis i.e., Blank has no inhibition, 2% concentration (10.10 mm), 10% concentration (11.28 mm) and 20% concentration (13.26 mm). The diameter of inhibition of Nano serum Pineapple Hump Extract, namely Blank, had no inhibition, 2% concentration (10.44 mm), 10% concentration (11.56 mm) and 20% concentration (15.14 mm). The positive control for Clindamycin had an inhibitory effect (32.8 mm), the positive control for the circulating Pineapple Hump Extract (15.52 mm) and the negative control had no inhibition.

Abstract

In some countries, the prevalence of postpartum depression is relatively higher. Postpartum depression can have a negative impact on the mother's physical and mental health, and can affect the relationship between mother and baby. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is an approach that focuses on changing behavior and ways of thinking, as well as increasing the mother's ability to deal with stress and pressure. Therefore, to study this problem, researchers are interested in conducting research on the application of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in an effort to prevent postpartum depression in the working area of the Makrayu health center in Palembang city. The design of this study was quasi experiment, the sample was normal postpartum mothers day 10-40. The number of samples was 15 experimental groups and 15 control groups with purposive consequtive sampling technique. To measure postpartum depression using EPDS (Edinburg Postnatal Depression Scale). From the results of the study it can be concluded that the results of the unpaired t-test obtained a significance value of 0.003, this means "there is a significant mean difference in postpartum depression scores between the intervention group and the control group". Thus it can be concluded that there is an effect of CBT application on postpartum depression. The results of the linear regression test obtained the linearity equation is the application of CBT = 3.863 + 0.208 KF. This means that the application of CBT to postpartum women can reduce depression scores by 3.863 compared to postpartum care without providing CBT-based counseling. Suggestions for each health service are expected to conduct early detection or screening of the possibility of postpartum depression. The screening process should be part of a regular assessment of postpartum women, and anticipate the possibility of postpartum depression.

Abstract

Post-laparotomy wound healing is a critical aspect of surgical recovery, often influenced by various factors including age and nutritional interventions. This study investigates the potential of snakehead fish extract in expediting wound healing processes among post-laparotomy patients. A total of 30 participants were enrolled, with 15 individuals assigned to both control and experimental groups. Participants were from the Jatirogo Community Health Center's working area. The distribution of respondents was analyzed based on age demographics and grouped by control and experimental categories. Wound healing progress following laparotomy surgery was monitored after the administration of snakehead fish extract. The majority of control group respondents were aged between 41 and 45 years (13.34%), while the experimental group comprised individuals predominantly aged 21-25 years and 41-45 years (13.34%). Analysis revealed significant differences in wound healing progress between the control and experimental groups, particularly after the administration of snakehead fish extract. Administering snakehead fish extract demonstrated a significant effect on post-laparotomy wound healing, particularly among participants in the experimental group. This suggests the potential therapeutic benefits of snakehead fish extract in surgical wound management, warranting further investigation and clinical application.

Abstract

As technology advances, all fields are compelled to transition from manual to electronic processes, including informed consent. The implementation of electronic informed consent requires an examination of its execution and usage. Electronic signatures are used for verification and authentication in clinical information recording and documentation. From a legal perspective, medical records need validity to be used as legal evidence. RS PKU Muhammadiyah Petanahan has implemented informed consent using electronic signatures in the form of barcodes. This study aims to determine the validity of using electronic signatures on informed consent, as well as its security and privacy aspects. This research employs a qualitative method with an ethnographic design. The results show that the type of electronic signature used is a non-certified electronic signature in the form of a barcode. This signature was chosen because it facilitates healthcare workers in completing informed consent documents and its creation process is relatively easy and affordable. Currently, the regulation referenced for the use of electronic signatures in electronic medical records at RS PKU Muhammadiyah Petanahan is Law No. 19 of 2016 on Information and Electronic Transactions. In terms of security, electronic informed consent data is stored in a database on a computer server. Regarding privacy, there is a Standard Operating Procedure (SPO) that governs its use. Non-certified electronic signatures on medical records potentially pose a security risk. Therefore, based on the research results, it is recommended to change the type of electronic signature to a certified electronic signature
