Enhancing farmers' marketing capacity in rural areas has become crucial in facing the increasingly dynamic market competition. This community service activity, in the form of business communication training, is aimed at improving farmers' ability to market their agricultural products. The training sessions were designed to deliver fundamental business communication techniques, public speaking skills, and digital marketing strategies, followed by role-play activities to practice communication and public speaking. Vegetable farmers in Guci Village, Tegal District, who participated in the training, demonstrated high enthusiasm throughout the event. During the role-play sessions, it was observed that the farmers' confidence and communication skills in public speaking improved. Abstract

Community service was conducted in Karang Tunggal Village, East Kalimantan, to disseminate green marketing and circular economy concepts to goat and sheep farmers. A total of 35 farmers participated in the project, engaging in interactive workshops, discussions, and on-site demonstrations using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach. The project aimed to enhance knowledge of sustainable farming practices, resource optimization, and eco-friendly marketing strategies. The methodology involved field observations and community discussions, followed by practical training on applying circular economy principles, such as waste reduction and composting, and how to market products as sustainable and ethically produced. Results indicated significant improvements in knowledge, with a 57% increase in farmers’ understanding of sustainable farming and 88% adoption of green marketing strategies. The project contributed to a 20% increase in meat production and an 18% rise in income, with farmers gaining access to higher-value markets through eco-friendly branding. The initiative also fostered community cohesion and social capital, encouraging farmers to share best practices and collaborate in applying the new techniques. Despite challenges such as limited access to digital infrastructure, the project demonstrated the importance of equipping farmers with knowledge and tools to enhance the competitiveness of local agricultural products.

Abstract

The problem faced by Islamic Boarding Schools is that waste management is not yet optimal. Most of this waste is from leftover food and other consumption by all students. The impact of this condition is the accumulation of school boarding waste, which is not utilized properly. Community Service Model with Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach through participatory training consisting of socialization, training, and implementation of organic waste management in Islamic boarding schools. Training activities will be continued with assistance until organic waste management has been running. Training materials include the basics of waste management. This service activity was carried out with lectures and maggot cultivation training involving 30 participants from Islamic boarding school students and residents. Participants were also invited directly to how to cultivate maggots. The results of the activity showed that participants had a good understanding of waste management, maggot cultivation, maggot maintenance, and maggot sales. Waste management begins with the sorting of organic and non-organic waste. Maggot cultivation begins with the purchase of maggot seeds and the provision of maggot food. Maggot sales include prisoners in the management of maggots to become products ready to be sold to consumers.

Abstract

The purpose of the community service is to assist with the collaboration program between patients, families, and health workers (OPA-GATAN) to increase self-awareness of non-communicable disease (NCD) sufferers. Hypertension, diabetes mellitus, gout, heart disease, cancer, and stroke are classified as non-communicable diseases that require treatment and management. Management of non-communicable diseases requires awareness from a sufferer and support from family and health workers in managing the disease. Disease care is packaged in the OPA-GATAN program. The method used is Community-Based Research (CBR). The community service participants were 58 diabetes mellitus sufferers and their families, and 18 local health workers. The results of the community service showed an increase in self-awareness of NCD sufferers from 12.24 (low) to 28.73 in the high awareness category. The assistance of the OPA-GATAN program in increasing the self-awareness of non-communicable disease sufferers is very effective.
