AbstractThis study aims to describe the cooperative effect of snowball throwing type on learning outcomes in learning social science class III State Elementary School 66 Pontianak City. The form of research used was quasi experimental with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample in this study was class III A (control class) and class III B (experimental class) consisting of 61 people. Data collection techniques used were measurement techniques with data collection tools used in the form of student learning outcomes tests in the form of multiple choice totaling 50 questions. Based on the results of data analysis, the average learning outcomes of the control class students was 73.93 while the average learning outcomes of the experimental class students were 77.10. The results of hypothesis testing (t-test) using t-test obtained tcount of 5.6796 and ttable (a = 5% and dk = 60) of 2.0435, indicating that tcount (5.6796)> ttable (2.0435) . Then Ha was accepted. This means that there is an influence of learning outcomes between students taught with the Snowball Throwing cooperative learning model and students without the Snowball Throwing cooperative learning model. Abstract The aims of this study were to determine the validity of refutation text-based chemistry worksheet on material hydrocarbon and to measure student?s response. The form of this research was research and development (R & D) that adapted from the Four D (4D) model. The subject of this study was refutation text-based chemistry worksheet which was on 10 and 37 students of SMAN 3 Pontianak at the initial trial and main trial respectively. Data collection instruments used were validity assessment sheets and studeny?s response questionnaire. The results of data processing showed that material aspect gave 90.0%, language aspect gave 85.2%, and graphic aspect gave 87.4%. Based on student?s response questionnaire, the response result in the initial trial and in the main trial were 88.1% and 86.7% respectively. These datas showed that student?s response to refutation text-based chemistry worksheet was classified as very high category. Keywords: Chemistry Worksheet, Refutation Text, Hydrocarbon Compound

AbstractThis research was aimed to find out the effectiveness of the implementation of tematic learning by using Microsoft Powerpoint to improve student? learning outcomes of Social Science on the Grade VII of SMP Negeri 8 Pontianak. The method used was Quasi Experimental Design that planned with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. There were 56 students in this research. This research variabke were independent and dependent variables. Tematic model and Microsoft Powerpoint were the independent variables while the students achievement was the dependent one. The data analysis result showed that there was a significant difference on student learning outcomes betweem experimental class and controll class. It was proven in control class that carried with coventional learning method gained 77,5 average score in post test. While in experimental class that carried with tematic learning by using Microsoft Powerpoint gained 89,8 that means there was an improvement. This was directly proportional with the effect size gained that was 2,66 which means the achievement was high clasified. Keywords: Tematik Model, The Microsoft Power Point, Learning Outcomes.

AbstractThis research was conducted on the eighth grade students of SMPN 6 Pontianak in academic year 2015/2016. The research was conducted in to improve students’ engagement in writing descriptive text. The method of this research was classroom action research. The tools of data collecting were observation sheet and field note. This research was done in two cycles. The result of data analysis showed that the students were engaged during writing activities. Guided writing could improve the number of students taking initiatives in asking and answering questions, the number of students working collaboratively in completing group task, and the number of students that focus on the writing process throughout the class. Those improvements also supported by the students’ engagement rate. In the first cycle their engagement rate was 82% and improved by 13.6% in the second cycle to 95.6%. Thus, it can be concluded that guided writing did improve students’ engagement in writing descriptive text. Teachers could use guided writing as an alternative technique in teaching writing. However, they should manage the time carefully so that they will have enough time to evaluate and give feedback to the students’ writing. Keywords: Students’ Engagement, Descriptive Text, Guided Writing

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan metode kerja kelompok dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa di kelas IV SDN 09 Gonis Tekam Kecamatan Sekadau Hilir Kabupaten Sekadau. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Hasil penelitian pada siklus I dan siklus II menunjukkan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini terbukti dari hasil belajar siswa kelas IV dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) tes akhir siklus I dengan nilai rata-rata kelas 79,35 dan meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 84,51. Dengan ketuntasan belajar 74% pada siklus I dan 90% pada siklus II.  Kata Kunci: Metode Kerja Kelompok, Pembelajaran IPA. Abstract: The research was aimed to describe the application of group discussion method in science learning to improve the fourth grade students’ achievement of SDN 09 Gonis Tekam Kecamatan Sekadau Hilir Kabupaten Sekadau.The research method used was descriptive method with the research design of classroom action research (CAR). The result of the research in the first cycle and the second cycle showed the improvement of students’ achievement. This was proved from the fourth students’ achievement in science learning which the mean score of the final test in the first cycle was 79,35 and improved on the second cycle became 84,51, with the learning completeness of 74% on the first cycle and 90% on the second cycle.  Keywords: Group Discussion Methods, Science Learning.

AbstractThis research aimed to investigate how the conversational videos improved the students’ pronunciation on the ninth-grade students of SMPN 5 Pontianak in academic year 2018/2019. The research was conducted through Classroom Action Research in three cycles. The researcher used observation and photograph taking as the techniques of collecting data. The researcher elaborated the result of observation checklist, field note, and students’ assessment as tools of collecting data in order to get the research findings. The finding of this research is that conversational videos could improve students’ rhythm, stress, and intonation on pronunciation through, first is reading the transcript of videos, second is listening to the videos, third is repeating the dialogue, and last is practicing in front of the class. The improvement of students’ pronunciation based on the first cycle was 36% categorized poor, the second cycle was 66% categorized good, and the last cycle was 79% categorized excellent. The students could emphasize how to pronounce words with rhythm, stress, and intonation correctly and they were also enthusiastic in practicing the conversation. The students also looked confident in performing their conversation in front of the class. As a conclusion, the problems that students faced could be solved through conversational videos.Key words: Classroom Action Research, Conversational Videos, Pronunciation

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan pemahaman konseptual dan kelancaran prosedural siswa dalam materi operasi hitung perkalian bilangan bulat di Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) Negeri 1 Pontianak tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif yang bersifat eksploratif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII A SMP Negeri 1 Pontianak yang berjumlah 34 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik pengukuran dan teknik komunikasi langsung. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah tes, pedoman wawancara, perekam suara, dan kamera. Hasil analisis data dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman konseptual dan kelancaran prosedural siswa termasuk pada kategori sedang dengan persentase masing-masing sebesar 70% dan 68%. Kata Kunci: Pemahaman Konseptual, Kelancaran Prosedural Abstract: The purpose of this research to explain students conceptual understanding and fluency procedural in the material of integer multiplication arithmetic operation at SMP Negeri 1 Pontianak. The research method used explorative descriptive method. The subject of the research is students class of VII A Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) Negeri 1 Pontianak that has 34 students. The technique of collection data used measurement technique and direct communication technique. The tools of collection data used test, interview guide, voice recorder, and camera. The result of the data analysis of this research showed that students conceptual understanding and fluency procedural include in medium categhory with each percentage 70 % and 68%. AbstractThis study was entitled Analysis of Social Relations between Sellers and Buyers in Flamboyan Fish Market Pontianak. This study aimed to determine how the form of cooperation in the form of bargaining (bargaining process) and the social relations of sellers and buyers in the process of permanent buyers in Flamboyan Fish Market Pontianak. The research method used was qualitative research with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques used was observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The results of this study indicated that 1) The social relations of sellers and buyers in the form of bargaining cooperation, namely by planning negotiation targets with the buyer (being friendly), the seller's strategy in the negotiation target (buying and selling agreement), negotiation results (buying and selling) 2) Relationships social seller and buyer in the process of permanent customers, the seller provides quality goods, the seller sets the price, the seller conducts promotions, and the seller establishes a social relationship with the buyer.Key words: Social Relations, Sellers Buyers, MarketÂ

Abstract: The purpose of this research was to find out the effectiveness of Big Book in increasing students’ english early reading skills. The method used was a pre experimental design. The sample of this research was class B kindergarten of Rumah Matematika dan Sains. The tool of data collecting was oral reading test. T-test and effect size formula used to measure the effectiveness of the treatment. After the treatment, the students’ english early reading skills increased, they aware of the letter sounds, and they become familiar with the words . The data showed their score in letter sounds ,familiar word reading, and sentences reading increased. The findings showed that the t-test 27.879 was higher than the ttable (27.879 > 2.930). the effect size results was 1.39 (ES > 0.80) which was classified as high. Based on the results the use of big book was effective to increase students english early reading skills. Keywords : English Early Reading, Big book. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas media buku besar dalam meningkatkan kemampuan awal membaca pada siswa taman kanak-kanak di Rumah Matematika dan Sains. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah rancangan pre experimental. Sampel dari penelitian ini adalah siswa taman kanak kanak kelas B di Rumah Matematika dan Sains. Instrument yang digunakan dalam pengambilan data adalah tes membaca lisan. Pengukuran tingkat efektifitas treatment dilakukan dengan uji t dan uji efek. Setelah diberikan perlakuan hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan awal membaca bahasa inggris pada siswa, siswa mengetahui bunyi dari huruf-huruf, dan mereka perlahan mengenali kata-kata dalam bacaan. Data menunjukkan hasil test pada bagian bunyi huruf, membaca kata, dan membaca kalimat, meningkat setelah diberi perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan uji t 27.879 lebih tinggi dari ttable (27.879 > 2.930). Hasil uji besar efek 1.39 (ES > 0.80) dikategorikan tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian penggunaan buku besar efektif dalam meningkatkkan kemampuan awal membaca bahasa inggris pada siswa. Kata Kunci : Kemampuan awal membaca bahasa inggris, Buku besar.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan berhitung berdasarkan gender dan metode berhitung yang dipakai oleh anak laki-laki dan perempuan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriftif dengan bentuk penelitian kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah anak kelas B2 sentra persiapan TK Mujahidin 1 Pontianak. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan kemampuan berhitung anak laki dengan hasil presentase 45,23% kategori sedang berkembang sesuai harapan sedangkan kemampuan berhitung anak perempuan dengan hasil presentase 45,23% kategori sedang berkembang sangat baik. Menghubungkan benda dengan simbol angka anak laki-laki cukup baik menggunakan metode menghitung semua benda dari benda pertama sampai terakhir sedangkan, anak perempuan baik dengan menggunakan metode ketidakrelevanan. Mengurutkan angka anak laki-laki cukup baik dengan menggunakan metode kardinalitas sedangkan, anak perempuan baik dengan menggunakan metode abstraksi. Cara membandingkan angka lebih besar dan kecil anak perempuan dengan metode abstraksi sedangkan, anak laki-laki membandingkan angka lebih besar dan lebih kecil menggunakan metode koresponden satu-satu.  Kata Kunci: kemampuan, berhitung, berdasarkan gender Abstract: This study is aimed todetermine the ability to counting based on gender and counting methods used by boys and girls. The research used is deskriftif with the from of study qualitative. The subjects of research is the class B2 preparation centra kindergarten Mujahidin 1 Pontianak. The results showedthat the ability to counting boys with the presentase 45,23% of categories are evolve as hope while the women with the presentase 45,23% of categories are being developed very good. Connecting the object with a symbol of the boys good enough using the count all the object of the first to survive for a while, girls good use ketidakrelevan. The boys good enough using the kardinalitas while, girls good using the abstraction.
