Abstract

AbstractThe research’s goal is to know the effect of CLIS model implementation by using the refutation text in remediating the student misconception in hydrostatic pressure topic in SMP Negeri 5 Pontianak. The pre-experimental design with the design of one group pretest-posttest was used in this research. The population is all 8th grade students of A, B, C, and D class of SMP Negeri 5 Pontianak. The learning sample was taken on an intact group of 8th D class with 30 students. The research instrument was using the diagnostic test that consists of 12 question of multiple questions and open question. The average declining percentage after the remediation by using the CLIS model with refutation text was 51,39%, with the highest declining happened on indicator 1 which was 63,33%. The Mc Necmar test was tested with the significance of 5% which shows that there was a significant changing of misconception after the CLIS with refutation text was applied to remediate the misconception. The CLIS model that utilizes the refutation text is effective to remediate the misconception of students in hydrostatic pressure topic or material with the DQM score of 63,19% which is considered as medium. Keywords: Remediation, Misconception, CLIS, Refutation Text, Hydrostatic Pressure

Abstract

AbstractThe problem in this study is the lack of physical fitness of students when implementing a dual system which is a program from schools that requires students to do learning outside of school or an internship, where there is no physical education learning or physical activity provided to students so that the physical fitness of participants students decline. The aim of the research is to find out whether there is an influence of the workout tabata on physical fitness in students who use dual systems at SMK SMTI Pontianak.The method used in this study is an experiment with a form of research Pre-Experimental Design, One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The subjects in this study were students of class XI who applied a dual system of 46 people at the SMK SMTI Pontianak. Data analysis with t-test. From the results of statistical calculations, t count 2.46> t table 1.98 with a significant level of 0.05, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of tabata training on physical fitness of students.Keywords: Fitness , Physical Tabata Workout.

Abstract

AbstractThe background of this research is the rice register during the harvest season of the Javanese community of Desa Parit Keladi, Kabupaten Kubu Raya. The problem of this research is the type of register, register element, register factor of rice farmers during the harvest season of the Javanese community of Desa Parit Keladi, Kabupaten Kubu Raya, and the implications of learning at school? The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative form. The data collection techniques of this study were competent see engendant, competent free engendant, record, and note taking techniques. The tools used in this study are cameras and stationery. The results of the study are classified into two types of registers, namely open registers and closed registers which are divided into three closed registers and twelve open registers. This study found fifteen registers, wiwiti, ngedos, benteli, ngungkal, ngaret, minggiri, ngunjukne, nyunggi, nyurung, numpuk, ngadahi, mepe, ngorak-ngarik, ngentas, dan nyimpen. Abstract                        This rescarh was based to know presentation and function Balalak music on celebration at Monterado village, Monterado district, Bengkayang district,the purpose of this study was how form presentation and function Balalak music, celebration at Monterado village ,Monterado sub- district, Bengkayang district. This research used was desctripve methodand the research reom used is qualative research. Sources of datain this study some interviewsa and relevan sources about the presentation and funcation Balalak music at Monterado village, Monterado sub district Bengkayang district. Data collection techsuch as observation interviews study literature and documentation. Technique such observation to test the validity of data used was sources triangulation, triangulation techniqueand lengthen observation data analysis techniques in thi study used was inreactive data analysis to include data presentation and deduce. Basd on data analysis it was can to concludemusik on ritual Balalak as rite of passage Balalak the accompanist, communication and entertaimen. From presentation and function Balalak music at Monterado village, Monterado sub-district, Bengkayang district. Is instrument, onstage, makeup, soundsytem and presentation order. Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to determine whether there is an influence of knowledge and motivation on cooperative behavior in the cooperative of Hesti Wira Sakti Kesdam XII/TPR. The method used in this research is an associative research method with a form of research to determine the relationship between two or more variables. The population in this research was 217 people. The sample used was a cooperative member of the army totaling 57 people. To the determine the sample of this research, the writer using proportionate stratified random sampling. The techniques of data collection consisted of indirect communication tecnique and documentary study technique. The tool of collecting data was questionnaire. The was calculated and the result showed that there was a significant influence between the independent  variables (X1) and (X2) on the dependent variable Y. Based on the analysis, thecalculation of t-test data obtained sig. 0,018 < 0,05 (alpha 5%)  which shows the influence of knowledge of cooperatives on cooperative behavior. Whereas, the variable t-test of cooperative motivation shows sig. 0,175 > 0,05 (Alpha 5%) which shows there is no influence between cooperative motivation on cooperative behavior. Whereas, the f-test carried out simultaneously shows sig. 0,000b< 0,05 (Alpha 5%) which means there is an  influence between cooperative knowledge and motivation on cooperative behavior.Keywords:Knowledge, Motivation and Cooperative Behavior

Abstract

AbstractThe aims of this research were to examine the effect of PjBL on student communicating skill. To achieve the aim, twenty nine students were tested before and after learning through PjBL to measure their communicating skill. The form of this research was Pre-Experimental design with the research plan of  single pre-test  and post-test researching. The taking sample technique used in this research was purpose sampling. According to wilcoxon test, probability score was less then 0,05 (p>0,05) which meant there was a significant difference of communicating skills at between student before and after learning to PjBL. According to glass test, effect size score was 0,6 which meant PjBL have largest effect on oral communicating skill. According to glass test, effect size score was 1,1 which meant PjBL have largest effect on oral communicating skill. Based on the calculating of the effect size , the applying of PjBL  model was  highly effect the student’s communicating skills  of  VII grade students  at SMP Negeri 12 Pontianak. Keywords: Project Based Learning, Communicating Ability, Separation Methods

Abstract

AbstractThe objectives of this research are to find out the errors and the sources of errors. The research was conducted at Senior High School 2 Pontianak with 33 students as the subject. The data collected through essay and interview.  Essay was taken to find out the errors, while interview was conducted to find out the sources of errors. Technique analysis of miles and Huberman was used on the data. The result shows that students’ errors were divided into 4 errors based on Polya’s problem-solving stages. (1) Errors in understanding the problem is 29.7%. Errors was happened due to the lack of conscientious and lack of practices to write down what students know and what students should ask. (2) Errors in planning the solution is 38.8%. The source of errors were due to students’ less experienced in formulating equation and its steps. (3) Difficulties in executing the plan is 55.14%. The source of this errors was the student unable to finish the test based on the plan, thus the student were not able to reach the conclusion. (4) Difficulties in recheck or double check is 49.7%. The sources of errors were miscalculation that caused the students to lost track of the test and made the recheck harder. Keywords : Analyzed of Mistake, Problem Solving based on Polya, Energy and Heat Movement

Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed was to analyze the influence peer tutoring method of student learning output in learning mathematics in grade V of State Elementary School 06 North Pontianak. the research method was an experiment, form of quasi Experimental's non-equivalent group design. the research population of all grade V students of public Elementary School 06 North Pontianak  werw counted to 43 students. the withdrawal sample tec hnique used purposive sample. the technique used was observation and measuring. the data collection tools are observation sheets and essay question. the data result was the average score of class control post-test was 62,09 and the experiment was 70.69. based on the counting result t-test was 2,060 > t-table 2,020 then ha is accepted. it shows that there is a difference in students learning output of class control and class experiment. the value of effect size was 0,77 with middle criteria. it can conclusion that t­here is an effect of the application of the peer tutoring method on student learning output in learning mathematics in grade V public Elementary School 06 North Pontianak.Keywords: Learning Outcomes,Mathematics, Peer Tutoring

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to determine the difficulties as well as internal and external factors that affect learning difficulties of students in the history subject of class XI IPS at SMAN 1 Sungai Raya. The research method used is descriptive research. The subject of this study was 6 students who had difficulty in learning history and 1 history teacher of class XI IPS. The data collection techniques was observation, intervews and decomentations. The result shows that the difficulties faced by the students relate to academic problems such as hard to pay attention to the teacher, hyperactivy, often sleepy, did not apply good learning and there were some studentswho make noise, the internal factors that affect students learning difficultiesin were the health of the students that interferes with learning, lack of intelligency, lack of interest and readiness to learn history. And external factors that affect learning difficulties of students were less attention of parents to student’s learning, teacher use a tradtional methods learning and less various strategic learning, lack of discipline and students disrupt the teaching learning process .Keywords: Learning Difficulties Factors, Learning Process, Historical Subjects.

Abstract

AbstractThis research was conducted to the eighth grade students of Madrasah Tsanawiah Negeri 1 Pontianak in academic year 2016/2017. The aim of this research was to find out how well the use of Collaborative Strategic Reading in improving students’ reading comprehension. The problem includes the difficulties in comprehending the narrative text and finding the elements of narrative text. In conducting this research, the researcher used Classroom Action Research (CAR) as the method of research. The researcher observed the improvement of students’ reading comprehension by collecting the data through observation and measurement technique. The tools of data collecting were observation checklist, field note, and test. This research was implemented to 42 eighth grade students of Madrasah Tsanawiah Negeri 1 Pontianak in academic year 2016/2017. The finding of this research shows that there was an improvement on students’ reading comprehension through collaborative strategic reading. Four steps on Collaborative strategic reading helped the students in comprehending text. The four steps are previewing, click n clunk, get the gist and wrap up. The steps of collaborative reading help the students to improve their skill in comprehending the theme, supporting details, vocabulary, reference, and inference on narrative text. The quality of teaching improved the reading comprehension. The reading skill improvement by applying collaborative strategic reading could be seen from students’ activity through collaborative strategic reading stages and students’ test score. The researcher stopped on cycle 3 and decided the improvement of the reading comprehension is done.Keywords: Improving, Reading, Collaborative Strategic Reading, Narrative Text
