Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan korelasi antara penggunaan media gambar dengan hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS kelas V SDN 28 Pontianak Kota. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dan jenis penelitian ini adalah studi korelasi. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 65 siswa. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media gambar dalam pembelajaran IPS kelas V SDN 28 Pontianak Kota termasuk kategori baik yaitu sebesar 1.217,08 dengan rata-rata 81,14. Hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS kelas V SDN 28 Pontianak Kota termasuk kategori baik yaitu sebesar 15.670 dengan rata-rata 80,36. Penggunaan media gambar dengan hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS kelas V SDN 28 Pontianak Kota dilihat pada jumlah rxy > rtabel yaitu 0,49 > 0,248 dengan hasil korelasi meyakinkan atau signifikan. Besar korelasi antara penggunaan media gambar dengan hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS kelas V SDN 28 Pontianak Kota adalah sebesar 0,49 yang termasuk kategori sedang. Kata kunci: media gambar, hasil belajar   Abstract: This study aimed to describe the correlation between the use of media images to the learning outcomes of students in the fifth grade social studies learning SDN 28 Pontianak City. The method used in this research is descriptive method and type of research is a correlation study. The sample was 65 students. The results of data analysis showed that the use of media in teaching social studies class image SDN 28 Pontianak City including both categories in the amount of 1217.08 with an average of 81.14. Student learning outcomes in the social studies classroom learning SDN 28 Pontianak City including both categories in the amount of 15,670 with an average of 80.36. The use of media images to the learning outcomes of students in fifth grade social studies learning SDN 28 Pontianak City seen in the number rxy > rtable ie 0.49 > 0.248, with the results are convincing or significant correlation. Large correlation between the use of media images to the learning outcomes of students in fifth grade social studies learning Pontianak City Elementary School 28 is at 0.49 which included a middle category. Abstract

Abstract: This quasi experimental-based research evidently concentrated on the effectiveness of semantic mapping strategy in comparison to direct translation technique to enhance students’ English vocabulary and speaking achievements on descriptive texts. Students’ perception was additionally studied. The instruments were tests and questionnaires. One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was applied to analyse quantitative data obtained through the tests and an analytic scoring rubric was developed to support speaking performance assessment. The outcomes disclose that there is a significant dissimilarity observed through the individual total scores and F ratios obtained by the two groups. Semantic mapping affected the experimental students’ English vocabulary achievement powerfully and their English speaking achievement moderately. Moreover, their positive perception appeared. These indications, contrarily, did not apply to the control group treated with direct translation technique. To conclude, this strategy is superior to direct translation technique.   Keywords: Semantic Mapping Strategy, English Vocabulary Achievement, English Speaking Achievement   Abstrak: Penelitian quasi-eksperimental ini berfokus pada efektivitas strategi peta semantik sebagai perbandingan dari teknik terjemahan langsung dalam meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata dan kemampuan berbicara yang berhubungan dengan teks deskriptif. Persepsi siswa juga menjadi bahan penelitian. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi tes dan kuesioner. Analisis variansi satu arah diterapkan untuk menganalisis data kuantitatif yang diperoleh melalui tes dan sebuah rubrik penilaian analitis dikembangkan untuk mendukung penilaian performa berbicara. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan adanya perbedaan signifikan berdasarkan nilai individu secara keseluruhan dan rasio F yang diperoleh kedua kelompok. Strategi peta semantik membawa pengaruh kuat terhadap penguasaan kosakata dan pengaruh sedang terhadap kemampuan berbicara. Lebih lanjut, persepsi positif siswa muncul. Indikasi-indikasi ini sebaliknya tidak ditemukan pada kelompok kontrol yang belajar dengan menggunakan teknik terjemahan langsung. Alhasil, strategi peta semantik lebih unggul daripada teknik terjemahan langsung.   Kata Kunci: Strategi Peta Semantik, Penguasaan Kosakata bahasa Inggris, Kemampuan Berbicara bahasa Inggris

Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to determine social skills of students in learning Economics class XI IPS SMA Santo Fransiskus Asisi. This research was based on the finding of a problem when researcher made observations about students' social skills in learning Economics. The research method used was the type of qualitative research and in form of descriptive research. Sources of data in this research were students of class XI IPS totaling 37 people and the Economics teacher. Data collection was obtained through observation guidelines and interview guidelines, and then analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions/verification on students' social skills based on a comparison of percentages and predicates, then checking the validity of the data using triangulation techniques. Researcher conducted the research by observing 3 times and interviewing 2 days. The results showed that social skills of students had already taken place in the process of Economics learning class XI IPS SMA Fransiskus Asisi. These skills included Social Presentation skills can be categorized quite well by having a percentage of 67%, Social Scanning Skills can be categorized quite well by having a percentage of 64%, and Social Flexibility skills can be quite well categorized by having a percentage of 63%.Keywords: Economics Learning, Social Skills, Students of Class XI IPS

Abstract

  Abstrak: Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan model Direct Instruction (DI). Subjek penelitian pada PTK ini adalah siswa kelas VIIA SMP Negeri 13 Pontianak tahun ajaran 2014/2015 yang terdiri dari 36 siswa. Dari data hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I sebesar 30,73 dan siklus II sebesar 46,11. Peningkatan ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa siklus I 75% sedangkan pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan sebesar 77,78%. Data hasil wawancara didapat data respon siswa dalam menanggapi penerapan model DI, 86,67% siswa berpendapat materi yang diajarkan menggunakan model DI mudah dipahami, 80% siswa berpendapat belajar dengan model DI tidak mengalami kesulitan dan 77,33% siswa merasa terbantu memahami dan mengingat materi. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan model DI dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Kemudian model DI ini diharapkan dapat menjadi literatur untuk peneliti lain yang sejenis dikemudian hari. Kata kunci : Hasil Belajar, Model Direct Instruction. Abstract: This classroom action research aims to improve students’ learning outcomes with the Direct Instruction (DI) model. The subjects in this classroom action research is grade VIIA students of SMPN 13 Pontianak in academic year 2014/2015 which consist of 36 students. According to the research data showed that the average of students’ learning outcomes in the first cycle is increased to 30.73 and 46.11 for the second cycle. The improvement of students’ learning outcomes exhaustiveness in the first cycle is 75%, while in the second cycle increased to 77.78%. Interview data obtained students’ response data in responding to the implementation of the DI model, 86.67% of students stated that the material was taught using models DI is easy to understand, 80% of students stated they don’t faced any difficulties during studying the model of DI and 77.33% students are assisted to understand and remember the material. Based on these results, we can conclude DI model can improve students’ learning outcomes. Moreover, DI model is expected to be the literature for other researchers who has the same study in the future.   Keywords: Learning Outcomes, Direct Instruction Model.

AbstractWhen learning Chinese, many students find it difficult, especially writing Chinese characters. Mandarin characters are part of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. For students, Mandarin characters must be mastered in learning Mandarin. But Mandarin characters are very difficult to recognize, hard to write, hard to remember are facts. Even though they had studied for a year and a half, but at the time of his teaching, the teacher found many mistakes when writing Chinese characters, especially in the scratches and scratches. So, the author conducted a study in DARUL ULUM high school class XI with writing method based on sequence. From the results of the analysis, get the conclusion: the use of sequential writing methods to improve the ability to write the stroke sequence of the Chinese characters of DARUL ULUM students. Abstract

Abstrak : The application of model learning jigsaw on the nature of science to improve the activity and results of the learning learners class IV MIS Ash halihin Ketapang. The application of model learning jigsaw on the nature of science to improve the activity and results of the learning learners class IV MIS Ash Shalihin Ketapang, Objectives expected of this class of action research is to increase the activity of learning to the learners, and to improve the learning results IPA subjects of students on class IV MIS Ash-Shalihin Ketapang. This research uses the class action research as much as two cycles. The methods used in this research is the deskriftif method. Data analysis of the results obtained that an increase in the activity of learning to the learners, learners are asked on a cycle I and cycle II 65% as much as 80%, the learners who answered on a cycle I and cycle II 45% as much as 75%, learners who delivered an opinion on the cycle I as much as 35% and cycle II as much as 55%, learners carry out commands in cycle I, as much as 65% and cycle II as much as 85%learning outcomes, and increased the value of an average class learners on a cycle I was 65, and cycle II was 74.25. Penerapan model pembelajaran jigsaw pada ilmu pengetahuan alam untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas IV MIS Ash Shalihin Ketapang. Tujuan yang diharapkan dari penelitian tindakan kelas ini adalah Untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar peserta didik, dan Untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran IPA kelas IV MIS Ash - Shalihin Ketapang. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas sebanyak dua siklus. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriftif. Dari hasil analisis data didapatkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan aktivitas belajar peserta didik, yaitu Peserta didik yang bertanya pada siklus I 65% dan siklus II sebanyak 80%, Peserta didik yang menjawab pada siklus I 45% dan siklus II sebanyak 75%, Peserta didik yang menyampaikan pendapat pada siklus I sebanyak 35% dan siklus II sebanyak 55%, Peserta didik yang melaksanakan perintah pada siklus I sebanyak 65% dan siklus II sebanyak 85%, dan peningkatan hasil belajar yaitu Nilai rata rata kelas peserta didik pada siklus I adalah 65, dan siklus II adalah 74,25. Abstract

AbstractEmployees’ work discipline will be able to be advanced, along with the organization of activities that are managed by leaders who have the ability and intelligence in managing various activities that are carried out well, and composed. From the data obtained by researcher, as one of the components in work discipline, it is found that there is an increasing number of delays at STIK Muhammadiyah Pontianak. This study aimed to describe the effect of transformational leadership style and organizational climate on discipline of work. This study used quantitative approach in the form of descriptive correlational. The sample amounted to 52 people consisting of 25 employees of Dharma Insan Nursing Academy Pontianak and 27 employees of STIKES YARSI Pontianak, who were chosen using saturated sampling techniques. Data retrieval was done by questionnaire instrument using a Likert scale. Data were analyzed using F-test and multiple regression tests. This descriptive analysis shows that the transformational leadership style variable and work discipline are classified as good, and the organizational climate is classified as conducive. The correlation results described: (1). Leadership style has a significant effect of 0,000 <0,05 on work discipline, (2). Organizational climate has a significant effect of 0.039 <0.05 on work discipline. (3). Contributions of Leadership Style and Organizational Climate to Work Discipline (R = 0.887). In conclusion, the leadership style and organizational climate have a significant effect on the work discipline of employees in private universities in Pontianak. Keywords: Organizational Discipline, Transformational Leadership Style, Work Climate,.

Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to exercise whether or not the use of cubing technique was significant to teach writing recount text to year-8 students of SMPN 8 Pontianak. This research was a pre-experimental study. The sample was Class VIII D students who consisted of 34 students. The data were collected from the pre-test and the post-test. The writing recount text test was used in this research to collect the data.  Based on the data, the students’ mean score of pre-test was 38,02 and the students’ mean score of post-test was 66.1. It meant the score after administering the treatment was higher than before administering the treatment. Then, this research was analyzed by t-test which the t- value (13.1) was higher than the t-table (1.6909) in level 0.05.. The research finding was computed with effect size formula. The effect size was 2.24, higher than 0.8. It was qualified high. It meant that cubing technique is highly-effective to teach writing recount text. The cubing technique also eased students to develop and organize their ideas.Keywords: Cubing Technique, Technique, Teaching Writing, Recount Text.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dampak penerapan model Sains Teknologi Masyarakat terhadap perolehan belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam peserta didik kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri  07 Pontianak Utara. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu dengan desain eksperimen Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel diambil secara acak yaitu kelas V A yang berjumlah 24 orang dan kelas V B yang berjumlah 26 orang. Teknik pengumpul data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik pengukuran dan observasi langsung. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan berupa tes soal pilihan ganda yang berjumlah 20 soal. Rata-rata perolehan belajar Ilmu Pengetahun Alam di kelas kontrol lebih rendah daripada rata-rata perolehan belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam di kelas eksperimen. Pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan thitung lebih besar dari ttabel maka Ha dinyatakan diterima. Hasil perhitungan effect size data perolehan belajar peserta didik kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol diperoleh sebesar 6 dengan kategori sedang. Hal tersebut menunjukan bahwa penerapan model sains teknologi masyarakat berdampak terhadap perolehan belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam peserta didik kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri 07 Pontianak Utara.   Kata kunci: Dampak, Model Sains Teknologi Masyarakat Abstract: This is research aimed to describe the impact of the application of the model to the acquisition of Science Technology Society study Natural Sciences class V students of State Elementary School 07 North Pontianak. The method used is a quasi-experimental design with experimental Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample was taken by random sampling. The sample was the students of class VA consists of 24 students and class VB consists of 26 students. The techniques of data collecting were measurement technique and direct observation, and the tool of data collecting was multiple choice tests that consists of 20 questions. The students mean score of natural science subject in control class lower than experimental class. The result of hypothesis testing showed that ttest larger than ttable so Ha was accepted. The calculation of effect size from experimental class and control class was 0,56 with medium category. It shows that the application of the science community technology impact on learning acquisition of Natural Sciences class V students of State Elementary School 07 North Pontianak.   Keywords: Impact, Model Science Technology Society

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis is a qualitative descriptive research which aims to: (1) describe the planning of round table cooperative learning model to the X MIA students of SMA N 2 Sungai Kakap; (2) describe the use of round table cooperative learning model in negotiation text writing to the X MIA students of SMA N 2 Sungai Kakap; (3) describe the planning, use, and result of the class action research in using round table cooperative learning model in negotiation text writing to the X MIA 1 students of SMA N 2 Sungai Kakap. The subjects in this research were the teacher and students of X MIA students of SMA N 2 Sungai Kakap Kubu Raya regency. The methods used in collecting the data were documentation, observation, and interview. The data was analyzed with descriptive method. The results are: (1) round table cooperative learning model planning made by the teacher in form of RPP is in accordance with 2013 curriculum component; (2) the use of round table cooperative learning done by the teacher is in accordance with syntax of round table cooperative learning model; (3) the learning result in the use of round table cooperative learning model in negotiation text writing to the students. Keywords: Round Table Cooperative Model, Negotiation Text
