Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research is to know the effectivity of the Problem Based Learning  (PBL) design to remediate the misconceptions of the students toward oscillation subject. This study used quasy-experimental research with pretest-posttest control group design which 63 students participated at  the VIII grade in SMPN 2 Sungai Raya, which was taken by cluster random sampling. The data was taken by 15 multiple choice open-ended questions. The average of the reduction of the misconceptions in the experimental class was 51.99%, whereas in control group was 14.38%. Based on U Mann-Whitney with significance 5%, showed that there was a significant difference between the PBL design and conventional design to remediate the student’s misconceptions in oscillation. PBL design is effective in remediating the student’s misconceptions in oscillation with effect size score in 2.31 which is categorized high enough by Cohen. So the PBL design can be used as the alternative design for remediating the misconceptions. Keyword: Remediation, Problem Based Learning, Oscilation

Abstract

 AbstractThis research aimed to determine the improvement of speech skill of students by used speaking skill’s method on grade III Elementary School 01 Seluas Bengkayang. The research method that been used was descriptive method. The type of this research was Classroom Action Research which was four stages that was planning, acting, observing and reflecting .This research was done in 3 cycles. The results of research were obtained (1) The ability of teacher to arrange learning draft from cycle I was 3,71 in cycle II was 3,9 and cycle III was 3,98. The ability of teacher to do learning showed increase from cycle I 3,47, cycle II was 3,78, and cycle III was 3,98. The average of speech skill of students increased from cycle I with score 79,56 became 87,13 in cycle II and became 97,33 in cycle III. The using of speaking skill’s method increased the speech skill of students. Keywords: Speech Skill and Speaking Skill’s Method

Abstract

Abstract This study aimed to find out the role of scavenger parentsin supporting formal education in children (Study in the Landfill in Kelurahan Batulayang). The method used was a qualitative method with descriptive analysisand the technique of data collection for observation, interviews and documentation study. The results of this study showed that the role of parents in giving the formal education for children has been done. This was proven by the scavenger family at Landfill in Kelurahan Batulayang 1) The Role of Scavenger Parents as Motivator, Parents played a role in encouraging their children to be directedand enthusiastic to go to school by helping, supervising, and giving the direction when children are at home. 2) The role of Scavenger Parents as Facilitator was also done, by fulfilling the needs and school supplies for their children, they know the development of facilities that must be fulfilled by asking the teacher of their children, and the needsin supporting the formal education of children has been fulfilled. 3) The Role of Scavenger Parents as Mediators, namely their parents maintainedthe communication with their childrenso that the childrenwere open to sharing their activities and problems with both the teacher or their friends, so that parents easily become mediators in overcoming all their children's problems.  Keywords: The Role of Parents, Scavenger Parents, Landfill in Kelurahan Batulayang

Abstract

Abstract   This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of SMP Negeri 3 Ambawang about temperature and heat by applying the discovery learning model assisted with questioning. The form of this research is pre-experimental design with the design of one group pretest-posttest. This study involved the whole class of VII D as an experimental  class, with a total of 29 students whom selected using a purposive sampling technique. The research instrument was 20 questions in the form of multiple choice learning outcomes test. Based on the results of the Wilcoxon test using SPSS 23, the Asym score of 0.000 (<0.05) was obtained so that Ha was accepted, which means that there were significant differences in student learning outcomes before and after the discovery learning model assisted with questioning. There is an increase in learning outcomes seen from the average pretest-posttest score of 34.14. The application of discovery learning model assisted with questioning is effective for improving student learning outcomes in temperature and heat material with a value of 2.88s (classified as high). The results of the study are expected to be an alternative in an effort to improve learning outcomes of students in the subject about temperature and heat.      Keywords: application, discovery learning, questioning, learning ouycomes,                     temperature and heat

Abstract

Media Seni Musik dan Pemanfaatannya Oleh Guru Kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri Se-Kecamatan Sambas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang ketersediaan media seni musik di sekolah dasar negeri se-kecamatan Sambas dan pemanfaatan media seni musik oleh guru kelas V sekolah dasar negeri se-kecamatan Sambas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitiannya adalah survei. Berdasarkan hasil rata-rata hitung prosentase ketersedian sebesar 9.72% maka ketersediaan media seni musik di sekolah dasar negeri se-kecamatan Sambas sangat kurang. Dan dari hasil pemanfaatan media seni musik diperoleh tidak ada satu orang pun guru yang memanfaatkan media, hal ini di pengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor diantaranya tidak adanya media dan ketidaktahuan guru dalam memanfaatkan media tersebut. Kata Kunci : media seni musik, ketersediaan, pemanfaatan Abstract: The music arts media and the utilization by teacher grade 5 elementary school in Sambas subdistrict. This study aimed to get descrivtive about availability music art media by teacher grade 5 in elementary school in Sambas subdistrict. Research method that used is descriptive method with type of research is survey. Based on average result scoring percentage avaibility is 9.72%, so avaibility music art media in Elementary school in Sambas subdistrict is very less. And from the utilization music art media gets no teacher that utilizing the media, it influences by some factors such as there is no media and the lack of knowledge from the teacher in utilizing the media. Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to analyze the effect of the use of Think Pair and Share methods on student learning outcomes in learning Natural Sciences class III SD Negeri 55 West Pontianak. The method used is the Experimental Method. In this study the study used a Quasi Experimental design in the form of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study were all grade III students of the 55 Pontianak Elementary School in West Pontianak, while the sample was obtained by drawing in all class III. Based on the draw, the research samples were class III A (Experiment class) and III B (Control class) of 70 students. Data collection techniques used are direct observation techniques and measurement techniques as well as data collection tools used in the form of observation sheets and test deeds. Based on the analysis of the data obtained the average results of the experimental class post-test of 72.83 and 68.56 control class post-test, obtained tcount = 2.497 at a significant level (α) = 5% dk numerator = (36 + 34) - 2 = 68 obtained ttable = 1.9973 thus tcount> ttable, then Ha is accepted. So, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the use of Think Pair and Share methods on student learning outcomes in learning Natural Sciences class III SD Negeri 55 West Pontianak. Based on the results of the calculation of the effect size obtained effect size = 0.506. This value is in the medium category. This shows that learning using the Think Pair and Share method has a moderate effect on learning science in class III 55 Pontianak Primary School. Keywords: Learning Method, Think Pair Share

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to determine the effect of education funding by parents on student achievement class X SMA Negeri 1 Ambawang River. The research method used is associative. The sample of this research are 93 students. The results showed that there are significant funding of education by parents on student achievement class X SMA Negeri 1 Ambawang River seen from the value of t count> t table (13,307> 1,662) so that Ho is rejected and Ha accepted. Calculation of simple linear regression equation Y = 68,181 +0,205 X, meaning the value of the constant is 68,181, if the financing of education by parents is 0, then student achievement is worth 68,181. Regression coefficient values ??education funding by parents that 0,205. It means that any increase in education funding by parents 1, then student achievement will increase by 0,205. While the coefficient of determination in this study showed the influence of education funding contribution by parents to the learning achievement of 66,1%. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah asosiatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 93 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pembiayaan pendidikan oleh orang tua terhadap prestasi belajar siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Ambawang dilihat dari nilai t hitung > t tabel (13,307>1,662) sehingga Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Perhitungan regresi linear sederhana diperoleh persamaan Y=68,181+0,205X, artinya nilai konstanta adalah 68,181, jika pembiayaan pendidikan oleh orang tua bernilai 0, maka prestasi belajar siswa bernilai 68,181. Nilai koefisien regresi variabel pembiayaan pendidikan oleh orang tua yaitu 0,205. Artinya setiap peningkatan pembiayaan pendidikan oleh orang tua 1, maka prestasi belajar siswa akan meningkat sebesar 0,205. Sedangkan koefisien determinasi pada penelitian ini menunjukkan kontribusi pengaruh pembiayaan pendidikan oleh orang tua terhadap prestasi belajar sebesar 66,1%. Abstract

Abstrak: Peningkatan hasil belajar penjumlahan bilangan dua angka menggunakan media Konkrit di kelas 1 SDN 74 Kapuas. Secara umum penelitian ini bertjuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika materi bilangan dua angka dikelas I SDN 74 Penyalimau. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitiannya adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas.Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah Perencanaan pembelajaran pada siklus I dengan rata-rata skor 3.24 dan siklus II 3.90. Jadi terdapat peningkatan pada perencanaan pembelajaran sebesar 0.66. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran pada siklus I dengan rata-rata skor 3,42 dan siklus II 3,93. Jadi terdapat peningkatan pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran sebesar 0.51. Hasil belajar siswa siklus I dengan rata-rata sebesar 40 dengan siswa yang tidak tuntas sebanyak 9 orang dan siswa yang tuntas sebanyak 3 orang. Sedangkan nilai hasil belajar siswa pada siklus II sebesar 80 dengan nilai siswa semuanya tuntas. Jadi terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I dan siklus II sebesar 40. Kata Kunci: Hasil Belajar, Media Konkrit, Matematika.   Abstract : Improved learning outcomes numbers sum of two numbers using media in the classroom 1 Concrete SDN 74 Kapuas . In general, this study describes bertjuan for improving student learning outcomes in mathematics learning material in class the first two digits numbers SDN 74 Penyalimau . The method used is descriptive research is to form Action Research Kelas.Hasil obtained are planning learning in the first cycle with an average score of 3:24 and 3.90 second cycle . So there is an increase of 0.66 in the learning plan . Implementation of learning in the first cycle with an average score of 3.42 and 3.93 second cycle . So there is an increase in the implementation of learning for student learning outcomes 0.51.Nilai first cycle with an average of 40 students who did not complete as many as 9 people and students who completed as many as 3 people . While the value of the learning outcomes of students in the second cycle of 80 to complete all of the students . So there is an increase in student learning outcomes in the first cycle and second cycle at 40 . Keywords : Learning Outcomes , Concrete Media , Math

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi organisasi kehidupan di kelas VII B SMP Negeri 2 Mempawah Timur. Bentuk penelitian yang dilakukan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (Classroom Action Research) di kelas VII B SMP Negeri 2 Mempawah Timur dengan siswa berjumlah 28 siswa yang terdiri dari 14 siswa perempuan dan 14 siswa laki-laki. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes tertulis berupa pilihan ganda dengan jumlah 10 soal untuk setiap siklus. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh peningkatan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa setelah diterapkan strategi pembelajaran Think, Talk, Write pada siklus I yaitu 73,2 dan siklus II yaitu 80,0. Ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I sebesar 82,1 % dan pada siklus II sebesar 96,4 %. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran menggunakan strategi pembelajaran Think, Talk, Write pada materi organisasi kehidupan pada siklus I sebesar 100% dan siklus II sebesar 100%. Hasil analisis data menunjukan bahwa hasil belajar sisNM  V CZwa setiap siklus telah mencapai indikator kinerja yang diharapkan. Kata kunci: Think Talk Write, Organisasi Kehidupan.   Abstract: This study aims to improve student achievment in the material organization of life in class VII B SMP Negeri 2 East Mempawah. Form of research is action research (Classroom Action Research) in class VII B SMP Negeri 2 East Mempawah with students totaling 28 students consisting of 14 girls and 14 boys. The instrument used is written in the form of multiple-choice test with 10 questions for any number of cycles. Based on the analysis of data, obtained an average by improving student achievment after application of learning strategies Think, Talk, Write the first cycle are 73.2 and second cycle are 80.0.. Completeness student learning outcomes in the first cycle of 82.1% and in the second cycle of 96.4%. Implementation of learning using learning strategies Think, Talk, Write on the material organization of life in the first cycle of 100% and a second cycle of 100%. The results of data analysis showed that student achievment of each cycle have the expected performance indicators. Keywords:  Think Talk Write, Life organization.

Abstract

Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan dan kecenderungan representasi matematis menurut tingkat kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita tentang segi empat di SMPN 03 Semparuk. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian survei. Subjek penelitian adalah kelas VIIIC SMPN 03 Semparuk. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan siswa tingkat kemampuan atas memiliki kemampuan representasi enaktif tinggi, kemampuan representasi ikonik rendah dan kemampuan representasi simbolik sangat tinggi. Siswa tingkat kemampuan menengah memiliki kemampuan representasi enaktif tinggi, kemampuan representasi ikonik dan simboliknya sangat rendah. Siswa tingkat kemampuan bawah memiliki kemampuan representasi enaktif sedang, kemampuan representasi ikonik dan simboliknya sangat rendah. Kecenderungan representasi matematis ketiganya adalah representasi enaktif. Kata Kunci : representasi matematis, kemampuan, kecenderungan Abstract : The purpose of this research is to know the ability and tendency of mathematical representation in solve the word problem about quadrilateral matter at SMP 03 Semparuk. The method of this research is descriptive research survey. The subject of this research is the VIIIC class at SMPN 03 Semparuk. The result analysis data show that the high level student have high enactive representation capability, low iconic representation and very high symbolic representations ability. The intermediate level students have high enactive representation capability, But very low in the iconic representation of and symbolically ability. And the lower level students have medium enactive representation, but very low in iconic representation and symbolically ability.
