Abstract

The issue of sexual violence in Indonesia is increasingly rampant and has increased every year. Cases of violence occur among women, adolescents and children. The purpose of this activity is the application of psychoeducation based on gender equality and social inclusion as a method to reduce cases of sexual violence against students. The method applied in this community service activity uses the 6P method, which includes the preparation stage, preparation of materials, introduction, training, closing and reporting. The results of the activity showed that 85% of participants had a high understanding of gender equality and social inclusion as an effort to reduce sexual violence in the school environment. The multiplying impact resulted in a model and module of psychoeducation based on gender and social inclusion as a preventive effort to prevent and reduce sexual violence in schools based on gender and social inclusion.

Abstract

The community engagement program aims to optimize the marketing and production of Tangsi Wangi Coffee through the implementation of digital marketing and farmer education in the region. Tangsi Wangi Coffee, as a prominent local product, holds significant potential for further development in the global market. However, limited knowledge of digital marketing strategies and efficient production techniques poses major challenges for local coffee farmers. Therefore, this program focuses on two key aspects: first, providing training for farmers on improved and sustainable coffee cultivation techniques; and second, enhancing marketing capacities by introducing them to digital marketing concepts, including the use of social media, e-commerce, and other online marketing platforms. This initiative is expected to boost the competitiveness of Tangsi Wangi Coffee in local and international markets while positively impacting farmers' welfare by increasing income and expanding market access. Beyond improving farmers' skills in production and marketing, the program aims to create greater added value for the local community and strengthen the global competitiveness of Tangsi Wangi Coffee. Additionally, it seeks to establish a mutually beneficial ecosystem among farmers, coffee entrepreneurs, and consumers.

Abstract

The teaching profession is a noble and honorable field of work (officium nobile). However, nowadays, various legal cases have been found that teachers experience due to carrying out their duties in the education process. This community service activity aims to provide teachers with an understanding of legal protection for teachers in carrying out their responsibilities as educators. This community service activity is carried out using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach method which is oriented towards empowering teachers regarding legal protection issues in carrying out their duties. The results of community service show that teachers are educators who carry out their duties and obligations professionally. However, there is a conflict between enforcing discipline on students and Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection. This legal counseling helps teachers understand the common thread between discipline and crime.

Abstract

The "Merdeka Curriculum" in Indonesia is designed to be implemented based on the unique needs and characteristics of each student, offering educational policies that provide greater freedom. Since 2021, this curriculum has been gradually introduced in elementary schools, supported by various learning resources and educator training. The Merdeka Curriculum at this level focuses on three key areas: innovation, independent learning, and creative learning, promoting an enjoyable and engaging educational experience. Indonesian elementary schools abroad adhere to both Indonesian government policies and the educational regulations of the host country. For instance, the Indonesian Elementary School in Jeddah continues to use the 2013 Curriculum and faces the challenge of integrating local and Indonesian cultures. Maintaining high educational quality is crucial for these schools, as it impacts the awareness and skills of their graduates. To support Indonesian students abroad in adapting to local culture, language, and traditions, it is proposed to assist teachers at the Indonesian Elementary School in Jeddah in developing learning tools based on Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum. The results show that mentoring activities are effective in increasing participants' understanding of the CRT teaching module with an n-gain of 0.32 in the medium category.

Abstract

The importance of anti-bullying outreach in achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) point 4, namely quality education that is inclusive and fair. Bullying, both in schools and colleges, threatens the safe and supportive learning environments needed to achieve these goals. The family as the "first school" has a crucial role in preventing bullying. In a family environment, children are taught values such as empathy, understanding and honesty which are important to prevent bullying behavior. Parents and other family members serve as role models for children to demonstrate positive ways of interacting and respecting others. Apart from that, families also teach children how to provide quality education, manage conflict constructively, so that they have strong social and emotional skills to deal with various situations, including bullying. In this way, the family provides a solid foundation for children to grow into individuals who are empathetic and care about the welfare of others.

Abstract

This research discusses the formation of students' character and abilities through the integration of education and management. The main focus of this research is to explore how effective education management can integrate relevant curricula with students' character values and competencies. Through the integration-interconnection approach in curriculum policy, this study shows that education not only includes the mastery of knowledge, but also the development of balanced attitudes and skills. By implementing school-based management, schools can create synergies between curriculum development and learning practices that support the formation of students' character. This study uses a qualitative method with data analysis based on interviews, observations, and documentation to gain an in-depth understanding of the application of integration management in the context of education. The results show that collaboration between teachers, students, and parents is essential to achieve holistic educational goals, as well as produce students who are not only academically intelligent but also have strong character.

Abstract

The increase in population density has driven innovations in limited-space gardening, known as urban farming, which is gaining popularity among urban residents and millennials due to its support for a healthy lifestyle emphasizing the consumption of nutritious, pesticide-free vegetables. One prominent technique in urban farming is the cultivation of microgreens. Microgreens are edible young plants harvested within 7-21 days after germination, and they contain significantly higher nutritional levels compared to mature vegetables, with additional benefits such as cardiovascular disease prevention and cholesterol metabolism regulation. Although microgreens are popular in developed countries, this technique has yet to become a trend in Blitar. Therefore, this program aims to introduce microgreen cultivation using local plant varieties in Blitar. The training, conducted in Rejowinangun Village, involved 20 members of a women farmers' group and included both theoretical and practical components, from preparing the growing media to harvesting. The training successfully enhanced participants' knowledge and skills, opening up economic opportunities through the high-value marketing of microgreens. Additionally, the use of limited space for growing microgreens proved effective in meeting family nutritional needs and optimizing available resources.

Abstract

Sabrang Village is one of the villages in Ambulu sub-district, Jember Regency, the majority of the population make a living as farmers and ranchers.  Animals that are farmed are cows. Manure waste from cattle in Sabrang Village has not been managed and utilized properly, so if it can be managed properly, it will be able to improve the welfare of the people in the village.  This is in line with the Community Service Team program on livestock waste management and treatment to reduce environmental pollution. One that supports this program is to process livestock manure waste into something useful, one of which is an alternative fuel such as biogas. Therefore, it is necessary to increase public insight into the utilization of livestock manure waste into biogas.  This can later meet people's needs for fuel that will be useful for their lives later.
