Abstract

Postpartum blues, also known as baby blues, is a common emotional condition experienced by mothers after childbirth. If not properly addressed, it can significantly affect the mother's mental health and overall family well-being. Limited awareness of postpartum blues, particularly in Nambo Village, Kendari City, has driven the implementation of this community service initiative. The objective was to improve pregnant women’s understanding of the symptoms, causes, as well as strategies to manage and prevent postpartum blues.The activity was conducted on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the Nambo Village Hall, involving a team of lecturers from the Faculty of Medicine, Halu Oleo University. The methods used included interactive counseling, group discussions, simulations, and the distribution of educational materials. A total of 25 pregnant women participated in the program. Evaluation was carried out using pre-test and post-test assessments to measure the increase in participants' knowledge.Results indicated an 85% improvement in participants' understanding after the counseling session. This initiative successfully raised awareness and enhanced the understanding of pregnant women about postpartum blues, while also encouraging openness in discussing mental health issues. The intervention demonstrated that community-based education can serve as a strategic approach to improving maternal and family health quality. Moving forward, follow-up programs are needed to strengthen and sustain the positive impacts achieved through this activity.

Abstract

One of the needs of children is play, but some parents are not optimal in utilizing play time with children at home. Although children have special needs such as autism spectrum disorders and intellectual disabilities, the desire to play in children still exists and must be fulfilled by parents. The community service program to play with children, which is called the “Program Beranak”, is one of the programs that aims to bring closer the physical and emotional relationship between mothers and children so that it can increase self-confidence, stimulate cognitive development, social and emotional skills of children with special needs. In addition, playing with children with special needs is a form of therapy so that children can express themselves and train children's concentration. The method of this community service activity was carried out through lectures, small group discussions and simulations. The results of this activity show that there is an increase in the knowledge and skills of mothers who have children with special needs in playing with children at home. Some activities that mothers can do when playing with children at home such as reading fairy tales or storybooks, arranging puzzle toys, painting and coloring. It is expected that mothers can spend time with their children at least 30-45 minutes a day to play and the type of game is adjusted to the age and development of the child.

Abstract

Masa remaja merupakan masa transisi yang ditandai dengan perubahan fisiologis, psikologis dan perubahan sosial yang sangat signifikan sehingga menyebabkan remaja harus menghadapi perubahan permasalahan kesehatan termasuk kesehatan reproduksi. Remaja memiliki proporsi sebesar 17% dari total populasi Indonesia. Remaja merupakan masa peralihan dari anak-anak menuju dewasa, berada di rentan usia 10-18 tahun. Akses informasi yang cukup dapat membantu remaja untuk terhindar dari ancaman remaja masa kini. Salah satu upaya peningkatan informasi dan pengetahuan berupa penyuluhan/edukasi. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan remaja Oleh karena itu, mempersiapkan remaja wanita dengan pengetahuan tentang kesehatan reproduksi yang cukup sangatlah penting untuk optimalisasi kualitas hidup remaja pada masa mendatang. Kegiatan edukasi dihadiri sebanyak 52 orang siswa/I kelas VIII SMPN 1 Kendari meliputi 33 orang laki-laki, 19 orang perempuan. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan sebesar 20% pengetahuan remaja setelah mengikuti kegiatan Penyuluhan Kesehatan Reproduksi Remaja.

Abstract

The low level of financial literacy in Indonesia, with a rate of only 38.03%, is a challenge in managing family finances, especially among homemakers. Homemakers who are members of the Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) have great potential to be empowered. Still, most do not yet understand stock investment as an alternative for long-term financial management. This program is designed to improve the financial literacy of PKK mothers through stock investment education to help them manage family finances more effectively and sustainably.The solution implemented involves community-based education with a participatory approach. The implementation method includes interactive training, stock investment simulations using a digital platform, and real-world practice assistance. This program is implemented for three months in three stages: basic education, simulation, and direct application.The results showed a significant increase in participant understanding, from 20% who understood the basic concept of stock investment before training to 85% after training. As many as 70% of participants started real investments with small funds. In addition, this program forms stock study groups, increases self-confidence, and creates an investment culture in the community. This program provides innovative solutions to empower local communities and improve family welfare through better financial literacy.

Abstract

This study explores the modernization of regional financial management in Tojo Una-Una Regency as a strategic initiative to enhance transparency, accountability, and efficiency in governance. The Regional Government Information System (SIPD), particularly the Accounting and Reporting (AKLAP) module, has been implemented since 2022 to support accrual-based financial reporting in compliance with government accounting standards. Despite its potential, several challenges remain, including a lack of skilled human resources and insufficient technical training for system operators, which hinder effective integration and reporting accuracy. Using a descriptive qualitative method with an inductive approach, this study draws on interviews and observations to identify barriers and propose optimization strategies. Findings reveal that unequal access to technology across Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) and limited operator competence are significant obstacles. To address these issues, the study recommends intensive training for SIPD operators and enhanced technological infrastructure at the OPD level. These measures aim to improve the quality and reliability of financial management, advancing a more transparent and accountable system. This research contributes novel insights into overcoming practical challenges in regional financial management, offering actionable strategies for similar contexts.

Abstract

Desa Bandung di Kecamatan Sugio, Lamongan, memiliki potensi besar untuk berkembang dalam sektor ekonomi kreatif, terutama dalam pengelolaan limbah plastik. Meningkatnya penggunaan plastik dalam kehidupan sehari-hari mengakibatkan limbah plastik menjadi masalah lingkungan yang perlu diatasi. Pengelolaan yang tidak efektif berkontribusi pada pencemaran dan dampak kesehatan masyarakat. Namun, dengan pengolahan yang tepat, limbah plastik dapat diubah menjadi sumber ekonomi yang berharga. Saat ini, banyak daerah telah berhasil mengonversi limbah plastik menjadi produk kreatif, seperti tas dan kerajinan hias, tetapi masyarakat Desa Bandung masih kekurangan keterampilan dalam hal ini. Rendahnya pemahaman tentang ekonomi kreatif dan peluang bisnis dari limbah plastik juga menjadi penghalang bagi peningkatan kesejahteraan dan penciptaan lapangan kerja. Oleh karena itu, pengembangan keterampilan dalam pembuatan produk dari limbah plastik sangat penting untuk mendorong masyarakat memanfaatkan limbah sebagai sumber pendapatan yang berkelanjutan, sekaligus meningkatkan pengetahuan mereka tentang pengelolaan sampah yang baik. Program ini bertujuan menciptakan alternatif ekonomi ramah lingkungan yang berkelanjutan di Desa Bandung Sugio dengan pelatihan keterampilan pembuatan produk dari limbah plastik, sehingga masyarakat mampu mengubah limbah menjadi produk kreatif bernilai jual, mendukung ekonomi kreatif desa, memperluas lapangan kerja, dan meningkatkan pendapatan keluarga. Selain itu, program ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya pengelolaan limbah dan kelestarian lingkungan.

Abstract

The catfish farming grup “Garipinus” is a catfish farming grup in Karanggebang village, Jetis, Ponorogo. Catfish cultivation is an activity that has potential to develop the economy of the Karanggebang village community. The availability of catfish from the “Garipinus” breeder group is already quite plentiful, but it is still lacking in supplying market demand, because traded cannot take the catfish products within a short period of time, so it is necessary to increase knowledge and abilities in the productivity of catfish cultivation. The steps taken are to provide training and assinstence related to increasing the productivity of catfish cultivation. This program uses method of observation, socialization, training, and mentoring as well as menitoring and evaluation. The result of this activity is increased knowledge and ability of members of the “Garipinus” catfish cultivation and factors than influence increasing its productivity.

Abstract

The animal recognition game application is designed to support interactive learning at TK Putra 1 Bandung, Arcamanik District, Bandung City. This application aims to provide an engaging learning experience where young children can learn about various animals, their habitats, sounds, and distinctive features. Interactive elements such as animal images, sounds, and videos are presented in an enjoyable way, allowing children to learn in an engaging and active manner. Features such as quizzes, clickable buttons, and animations support children’s engagement, enhance curiosity, and encourage active participation in the learning process. The application is also designed to make it easier for teachers and staff to deliver interactive content, ensuring that learning takes place in an enjoyable and effective manner.

Abstract

Era globalisasi yang disertai dengan kemajuan teknologi membawa banyak kemudahan dalam mengakses sumber ilmu pengetahuan. Arus globalisasi semakin mendekatkan jarak antarnegara, bahkan antarbenua serta kemudahan dalam mengakses informasi secara real time. Keberagaman budaya merupakan aset yang sangat berharga sebagai salah satu modal untuk memahami konsep multikulturalisme. Dengan pemahaman terhadap keberagaman budaya tersebut diharapkan dapat menciptakan hubungan yang harmonis dalam hubungan sosial termasuk untuk menghadirkan sikap inklusif. Keberagaman budaya tersebut merupakan warisan kolektif yang harus dilindungi, dikembangkan dan dimanfaatkan. Dengan terciptanya kesadaran dan pemahaman terhadap keberagaman budaya, dapat mendorong upaya semua pihak untuk membangun komunikasi dan menciptakan kesadaran bahwa semua budaya adalah sederajat dan tidak ada budaya yang lebih tinggi dari budaya yang lain. Dalam konteks yang lebih luas, kesadaran tersebut dapat membangun jembatan antarbangsa sehingga muncul sikap saling pengertian dan kerja sama lintas budaya. Bahasa sebagai salah satu unsur kebudayaan sangat penting bagi keberlangsungan peradaban manusia. Pemahaman dan penguasaan Bahasa Daerah penting, tidak hanya sebagai identitas kelompok masyarakat tertentu, tetapi juga sebagai penanda keberagaman budaya.

Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) technologies offer transformative opportunities in educational settings, particularly for teachers who are preparing interactive learning materials for early childhood education (ECE). However, challenges persist in their implementation, such as limited teacher knowledge, infrastructure barriers, and ethical concerns. This study aims to enhance teachers' knowledge at TKIT Mekar Insani, Yogyakarta, by providing training through mini workshops and supporting resources, such as refurbished computers. The program involved 25 teachers and included pre- and post-training evaluations. Results indicate a significant increase in teachers' ability to use AI-based tools, demonstrated by the production of engaging learning materials and improved confidence in integrating technology into their pedagogy. This initiative highlights the importance of bridging technology gaps in educational institutions and fostering continuous professional development.
