Abstract

This study seeks to analyze and evaluate the implementation of the omnibus method within Indonesia's legislative framework. The primary focus of the research is to examine how this method streamlines the regulatory structure by merging multiple laws into a single, unified regulation. A qualitative methodology is employed, involving the analysis of relevant legal documents, existing laws, regulations, and academic literature. The sample population includes various Indonesian laws and regulations impacted by the omnibus method. The findings indicate that while the omnibus method significantly reduces legal complexity, it also introduces concerns regarding potential overlaps and conflicts within the legal system.

Abstract

This study aims to explore private disclosures and privacy management among male and female university students who use the "Close Friends" feature on their secondary Instagram accounts. The research applies Communication Privacy Management (CPM) theory to analyze how individuals establish boundary rules and manage private disclosures when sharing both public and private information on social media. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews involving six university students who use the "Close Friends" feature on their secondary accounts. This study identifies differences in privacy management between male and female university students. Although both groups exhibit similar private disclosure patterns, male students tend to exercise greater caution when managing their privacy on Instagram. This study identifies differences in privacy management between male and female university students. Although both groups exhibit similar private disclosure patterns, male students tend to exercise greater caution when managing their privacy on Instagram. Additionally, the study finds that users of the Close Friends feature on secondary accounts manage their private information by establishing privacy rules according to their preferences as information owners. They coordinate private disclosures on social media through boundary linkages, boundary ownership, and boundary permeability, implementing thick boundaries. Some users of the Close Friends feature on their secondary accounts have experienced instances where friends on their close friends list shared private information they had disclosed. This led to privacy turbulence, prompting them to modify and refine the rules they had previously established

Abstract

Improving the quality of human resources (HR) is a critical element of Indonesia's long-term development agenda. The Human Capital Index (HCI) is used as a key measure of a nation's HR capacity, encompassing health, education, and workforce skills. A higher HCI signifies a stronger potential for economic growth and social development. One of the essential factors in boosting HCI is children's nutrition, as it directly influences their physical and cognitive development. Programs like free school milk distribution, which have been implemented in various countries such as Indonesia and India, aim to enhance children's nutritional status, thereby improving their learning outcomes, long-term health, and future productivity. This study examines the impact of Indonesia’s free milk program on improving HCI by conducting a comprehensive literature review. It also compares the implementation and effectiveness of similar programs in India to identify best practices. The study highlights several challenges faced by Indonesia, including limited infrastructure, funding constraints, and insufficient public awareness, all of which hinder the program’s success. In contrast, India’s successful milk distribution programs, supported by strong government policies, public-private partnerships, and extensive community engagement, provide valuable lessons for Indonesia. The research suggests that by adopting India’s strategies, such as improving distribution networks, increasing funding, and enhancing public education on nutrition, Indonesia could significantly strengthen its free milk program. The findings offer policymakers practical recommendations to improve child nutrition and, consequently, Indonesia’s HCI, leading to stronger economic growth and social progress in the future.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low learning outcomes of Madrasah Aliyah students in Fiqh, as preliminary research shows that only 70% of tenth-grade students met the minimum competency criteria (KKM) of 75, indicating suboptimal performance. The purpose of this study is to analyze the need for the development of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) through an Android application to improve Fiqh learning outcomes at MAN 2 Bandung and MAS Baitus Shofaa Ciheulang Ciparay Bandung. The research design employs a naturalistic qualitative approach. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, and data collection methods include interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis is conducted using techniques of data reduction, data presentation, and verification.Research results revealed three key findings: 1) There is a need for more engaging, tech-based learning in Fiqh education, and the "MaBar Fiqih" app could boost student interaction and critical thinking. 2) The Fiqh curriculum at both madrasas, following Kurikulum Merdeka, integrates key topics like zakat and hajj into an Android-based PjBL to enhance practical learning. 3) MAN 2 students are more tech-savvy, while MAS Baitus Shofa students are eager to learn despite lower digital literacy, making PjBL adaptable to both groups' needs for better engagement and outcomes

Abstract

Notary is a public official needed by the community who needs a deed as evidence for civil transactions. A notarial deed is perfect evidence that does not require other evidence in court proceedings. The authenticity of the Notarial Deed is required to be made by an Official whose authority is granted by law. In addition, one of the requirements for the authenticity of a Notarial deed must be read out in front of the person appearing before it is signed. If the Notary does not read out the deed, the result is that its evidentiary power is degraded to a deed under hand, while the Notary is not subject to any sanctions. Such regulation is unfair to the person appearing, so for justice for the person appearing, the regulation of sanctions in the UUJN must be reconstructed by deleting and changing several provisions of the articles containing sanctions. This research is normative legal research that focuses on the study of legal norms of UUJN, especially those related to the obligation of Notaries to read the deed in front of the person appearing before the deed is signed. The reconstruction is carried out by adding one letter m in the articles containing sanctions for Notaries who do not carry out their obligations, including not carrying out the obligation to read the deed before the deed is signed.

Abstract

Corruption is a form of crime that has a broad impact on the social, economic, and political development of a country. Law enforcement in corruption crimes is not only aimed at imposing sanctions on the perpetrators, but also to recover state losses through replacement money. The purpose of this study is to analyze the legal position of replacement money as a privilege in corruption cases. This type of research is normative juridical (legal research) with a statutory and conceptual approach. The author uses three types of legal materials, namely primary legal materials, secondary legal materials, and tertiary legal materials. The legal material search technique that the author applies is a literature study to find primary legal materials and secondary legal materials as well as expert opinions. The legal material analysis technique used in this study is systematic and grammatical interpretation. The results of the study show that the legal position of substitute money in corruption cases gives priority to recovering state losses over other debts. In Indonesian law, substitute money must be paid by corrupt individuals as part of their punishment, ensuring the state can reclaim lost assets before fulfilling other obligations, such as civil debts. This prioritization, outlined in the Corruption Crime Law (UU Tipikor), reflects the state's commitment to recovering financial losses and deterring future corruption by emphasizing both legal and financial consequences for perpetrators.

Abstract

This study examines the issue of plagiarism within Indonesia's graduate education system, highlighting its impact on academic integrity and the overall quality of education. Plagiarism, defined as the use of others' work without proper attribution, is increasingly common due to advances in technology and widespread access to information. This paper investigates the factors contributing to plagiarism among graduate students, including individual motivations, lack of understanding about proper citation, and external pressures such as lenient institutional policies and limited supervision. The study uses a qualitative literature review, incorporating findings from recent academic research and relevant legal regulations, to analyze these contributing factors and propose strategies for improvement. Key recommendations include strengthening institutional policies, providing comprehensive training on citation practices, and integrating anti-plagiarism software to ensure academic honesty. The findings underscore the need for a sustained commitment to fostering a culture of integrity and originality within Indonesian graduate programs. By addressing these issues, educational institutions can enhance student competence and maintain the credibility of Indonesian higher education in an increasingly globalized academic environment.
