Abstract

This study was conducted to examine in depth the effect of inflation and interest rates on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in North Sumatra Province during the period 2013 to 2020. This study uses a quantitative approach with secondary data in the form of time series data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency and other related agencies. The analysis method used is multiple linear regression. The results of the study show that the inflation variable has a positive and significant effect on FDI in North Sumatra Province, which indicates that stable and controlled inflation is perceived as a reflection of healthy economic activity and promising market potential for foreign investors. On the other hand, the interest rate variable has a negative and significant effect on FDI, which means that an increase in interest rates can reduce the interest of foreign investors due to the high cost of capital and investment risk. Simultaneously, both variables have a significant effect on FDI, with a coefficient of determination of 78.1%. This shows that inflation and interest rates together are able to explain most of the variation in the level of FDI entering the North Sumatra region. This study concludes that macroeconomic stability, especially related to inflation control and interest rate policies, plays a fundamental role in attracting foreign investment. Therefore, synergy of government policies is needed in creating a conducive business environment, providing legal certainty, simplifying regulations, and maintaining macroeconomic indicators in a stable condition.

Abstract

The growth of digital technology has increased the use of online services, with AI tools like ChatGPT becoming widely used. This study examines the impact of user perceptions on their intention to continue using ChatGPT, emphasising performance expectancy, effort expectancy, satisfaction, and trust as moderating variables. Data were gathered from 200 ChatGPT users using an organised survey and analysed via Partial Least Squares, Structural Equation Modelling (PLS, SEM). Findings indicate that performance expectancy as well as effort expectancy significantly enhance satisfaction and directly affect continuance intention. Satisfaction serves as a mediating factor between the anticipation variables and the intention to continue use. Nonetheless, trust does not substantially influence the correlation between performance or effort expectancy and satisfaction. The findings indicate that users' perception of ChatGPT as beneficial and user-friendly enhances their pleasure, hence reinforcing their intention to continue utilising it. This emphasises the significance of utility and user-friendliness in fostering sustained engagement with AI services.

Abstract

Coffee shops have become an integral part of modern lifestyle in Indonesia, particularly among the youth. With customer satisfaction as a moderating variable, this study aims to investigate the impact of service quality on customer loyalty, focusing on customers of Kopi Story UNS in Surakarta. A quantitative approach was employed using MRA (moderated regression analysis), involving a sample of 55 respondents. Research instruments were tested for validity and reliability; all indicators were declared valid (r > 0.273) and reliable. The results revealed that service quality had no direct effect on loyalty (t = -0,925; p = 0.359), while customer satisfaction significantly influenced loyalty (t = 0,271; p = 0.006). The interaction between service quality and satisfaction did not show a significant moderating effect (t = 0.946; p = 0.349). The regression model demonstrated good significance (F = 5.767; p = 0.002), explaining 20,9% of the variance in customer loyalty. These findings suggest that customer satisfaction plays a more critical role than service quality in fostering loyalty, emphasizing the importance of strategies to improve satisfaction to enhance long-term loyalty.

Abstract

Burnout is a critical psychological phenomenon among employees, characterized by emotional exhaustion, reduced motivation, and diminished professional efficacy. This study aims to examine the predictive role of self-efficacy and hope on employee burnout. Using a quantitative approach with an ex post facto design, data were collected from 150 employees in Central Java, Indonesia, selected through multistage random sampling followed by purposive sampling. Measurement instruments included the Burnout Inventory (0,911), General Self-Efficacy Scale (0,887), dan Hope Scale (0,90), all of which demonstrated high reliability. Data were analyzed using multiple regression with SPSS. The results revealed that both self-efficacy and hope significantly predicted burnout, explaining 69.3% of the variance. Employees with higher self-efficacy tended to adopt adaptive coping strategies and were less vulnerable to emotional exhaustion, while those with higher levels of hope maintained stronger motivation and engagement despite work pressures. These findings highlight the importance of fostering psychological resources such as self-efficacy and hope to protect employees from burnout. Organizations are recommended to design psychological interventions and workplace policies to enhance employee resilience. Future research should expand the scope by incorporating other psychosocial variables and diverse organizational contexts to strengthen generalizability.

Abstract

The rapid development of the digital world and the internet has changed the global marketing landscape from traditional to digital, with social media as the main platform. This study aims to analyze the influence of Money Attitude and Excessive Use of Social Media on Online Compulsive Buying among young people and adults in Sukabumi. This study used a quantitative method with 95 respondents aged 20-40 years, data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS 25, including validity and reliability tests, multiple linear regression, t-test, and F-test. The results showed that Money Attitude had a significant positive effect on Online Compulsive Buying. Similarly, Excessive Use of Social Media also had a significant positive effect on Online Compulsive Buying. Simultaneously, Money Attitude and Excessive Use of Social Media significantly influenced Online Compulsive Buying. The implication of this finding is the importance of money attitude education and managing social media use to reduce compulsive buying behavior among young people and adults.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of teacher performance as a determinant of education quality in SMK, particularly at SMK TI Bali Global Jimbaran, which is oriented toward the needs of technology-based industries. The principal’s leadership style and organizational culture are regarded as crucial factors influencing teacher performance. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of leadership style and organizational culture on teacher performance, both partially and simultaneously, as well as to identify the most dominant influencing variable. This research employs a quantitative approach with a population of 30 teachers as respondents. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed through validity and reliability testing, multiple linear regression, t-test, F-test, and the coefficient of determination. The findings reveal that leadership style has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance, whereas organizational culture does not have a significant effect. However, simultaneously, both variables significantly affect teacher performance, with leadership style emerging as the dominant variable. The implications of this study highlight the importance of strengthening transformational leadership among principals to foster teacher motivation, performance, and professionalism, as well as the need for a supportive organizational culture to create a conducive work environment that enhances the quality of education.

Abstract

This research examines the concept of Cause Related Marketing (CRM) from an Islamic perspective, focusing on barakah (blessing) as spiritual added value. Through systematic literature review, the study analyzes Islamic business ethics principles underlying CRM, such as maslahah (public interest), amanah (trustworthiness), and ihsan (excellence). The findings demonstrate that CRM within an Islamic framework contributes significantly to developing sustainable business models that are not only profit-oriented but also create positive social value. The implementation of CRM in companies like Wardah Cosmetics proves that integrating Islamic values into marketing strategies can generate blessings reflected in consumer trust, brand loyalty, and sustainable social impact. This research also identifies challenges in implementing Islamic-based CRM, including maintaining sincerity, transparency, and accountability. Educational institutions and religious scholars play crucial roles in raising awareness and guiding CRM practices that align with sharia principles to obtain business blessings.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of asset structure and managerial ownership on company value in mining sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2019–2023 period. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis techniques. Sample selection was carried out using the purposive sampling method, with a sample size of 15 companies. Company value is measured using the price to book value (PBV) ratio, asset structure is determined through the proportion of fixed assets to total assets. Managerial ownership is measured based on the percentage of share ownership by management. The results of the study indicate that asset structure does not have a significant effect on company value. On the contrary, managerial ownership is proven to have a significant effect. This finding indicates that management involvement in share ownership can strengthen the relationship between the interests of managers and shareholders, thus motivating decision making that has a positive impact on company value. This study contributes to enriching the literature on factors that influence company value and becomes a consideration for management and investors in developing strategies to increase company value in the mining sector.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the extent to which work discipline influences employee performance at PT PLN Indonesia Power UBP Mahakam. Work discipline is considered a vital component that directly affects workforce efficiency and productivity within an organization. The study applies a quantitative approach using a survey method, in which questionnaires were distributed to all 50 active employees at the unit. Data were analyzed through simple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 25. The findings reveal a significant relationship between work discipline and employee performance, indicated by a regression coefficient of 0.431 and a significance value of 0.031 (< 0.05). This suggests that higher levels of discipline reflected in compliance with regulations, punctuality, and accountability are associated with improved employee performance. Elements such as professional behavior, commitment to working hours, and consistent task execution contribute positively to overall productivity. These results are in line with prior studies emphasizing that discipline is a key factor in achieving organizational success and operational effectiveness.

Abstract

Generation Z in the modern era faces financial challenges that could potentially affect economic well-being. This research will explore the influence of financial literacy and love for money on the financial management behavior of Generation Z in Indonesia, with income as a moderating variable. The research method used is quantitative with analysis through SMART PLS. The population of this study is Generation Z in Indonesia. The sample used consisted of 250 respondents. This study shows that financial literacy significantly influences financial management behavior, while love of money does not affect financial management behavior. Income, as a moderating variable, is able to significantly moderate the relationship between financial literacy and financial management behavior, but it cannot moderate the relationship between love of money and financial management behavior. The hope for future research is to be able to add factors that can influence financial management behavior.
