Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study is to describe the values of character education in the novel Kado Terbaik by J.S Khairen.  This research uses descriptive qualitative method with content analysis method. The data source of this research is the novel Kado Terbaik by J.S Khairen. The data collection technique is reading and writing technique. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Based on the results of the study, there are character values contained in the novel Kado Terbaik by J. S Khairen, including 6 excerpts. S Khairen, among others, 6 snippets of religious values that illustrate the character's adherence to religious teachings, 4 snippets of honest values that illustrate the character's honesty through words and actions, 1 snippet of tolerance values reflected in the attitude of the characters who show mutual respect despite differences in social status, 3 snippets of hard work values described through Rizki's character who tries to fulfill his own needs, 1 snippet of independent values reflected through Rizki's character who lives alone without depending on others. 4 snippets of curiosity values, 4 snippets of curiosity value reflected in the conversation between the characters, 1 excerpt of the value of respect for achievement reflected in the actions of Bang Toron's character, 3 snippets of friendly/communicative value reflected in the relationship between Rizka, Singlet, and Gembil, 2 snippets of peace-loving value reflected in the actions of Rani's father, 6 snippets of social care value reflected in the actions of the characters, and 2 snippets of responsibility value shown by Rizki's character. Abstract

Tujuan penulisan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kesalahan berbahasa Indonesia dan perbaikannya dalam proposal kegiatan ormawa di Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat beberapa kesalahan berbahasa Indonesia, yaitu (1) kesalahan bebahasa pada tataran fonologi, (2) sintaksis, dan (3) fonologi. Hasil penelitian ini diharapakan menjadi bahan referensi agar penggunaan bahasa Indonesia lebih diperhatikan dalam penulisan proposal kegiatan ormawa.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the extent of the influence of the learning cycle learning model on the learning outcomes of scientific work material for class XI students at SMK Migas Innovation Riau. The population in this study were all class XI students at SMK Migas Innovation Riau with a sample of 40 students. Class XI OTKP students are taught using the learning cycle learning model and class XI TKJ 1 students are taught using the conventional model. The type of research is experimental. The instrument used is a test. The hypothesis data analysis technique was first tested for Shapiro-Wilk normality and homogeneity using the t test. The test results for the two samples came from a population that was normally distributed and homogeneous, so the researcher gave treatment to both samples. From the results of data analysis, it was obtained that the average learning outcome for students who used the learning cycle model was 81.10 and the average learning outcome for students who were given the conventional learning model was 63.75. To test the hypothesis, the t test was used, from the calculation results a significance level of 0.005 was obtained. It turns out that the significance value is 0.004 < 0.05, so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted so that it can be concluded that there is a significant influence in the use of the learning cycle learning model on the learning outcomes of scientific work material

Abstract

Abstract This research aims to describe the types of compound sentences and to find out what types of compound sentences are dominant in the short story collection Senandung Kunang-kunang by Widiayati. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The data collection technique was carried out by means of content analysis techniques (documents) with the intention of finding the meaning of the two clauses that make up the compound sentences in the book collection of short stories Senandung Kunang-kunang by Widiayati. Data analysis techniques using data reduction techniques mean choosing the main thing that becomes the focus of the problem in research or that will be used in this study and discarding those that do not need to be used in research. The technique of checking the validity of the data in this study was assisted by rechecking by the lecturer of the Indonesian Language and Literature Research course. The results showed that in the short story collection Senandung Kunang-kunang by Widiayati there are three types of compound sentences, namely, equivalent compound sentences, multilevel compound sentences, and mixed compound sentences.

Abstract

As an art, literary works allow their readers to use their intelligence and feelings creatively. therefore, literary works such as hikayat always have messages or values, such as moral values. this study aims to describe the moral values contained in the Hikayat of the Raja-Raja Siam. Descriptive-qualitative method used in this research. Data were collected by reading and recording. Nurgiyantoro's theory on the division of moral value forms is used to analyze the data. The results of this study show three quotations about moral values in man's relationship with his God, one quotation about man's relationship with himself, and six quotations about man's relationship with others. The moral value described in the hikayat is something natural that is influenced by the prevailing norms of society. Following up on the findings in this study, the moral values contained in this saga can be used as learning materials.

Abstract

Abstract This research aims to describe stereotype The father figure in the short story Guru by Putu Wijaya is in accordance with Derrida's theory. The research method uses a deconstruction approach to Derrida's theoretical literary works. Deconstruction of literary works is able to analyze short stories from the language that has various meanings in a text. The data in this research is in the form of text documents containing fragments of characters, plot, caritas background in short stories. The data source comes from Jawa Pos, 05/08/2016 edition of teacher's short stories by Putu Wijaya. The data collection technique uses heuristic techniques, namely reading the initial stages by analyzing the elements contained in the story such as characters. The data analysis technique uses the hermeneutic technique of in-depth reading of literary works in the form of the social environment in the story and analyzing it in depth in accordance with deconstruction theory. Research result stereotype The character of the father can be shown based on dialogue or the character's speech, such as the environment, the character's reactions to other characters. It is known that the character of the father does not depict the attitude of a parent who is firm, wise and unemotional. And the meaning of opposition which shows my father's bad thoughts towards teachers is a form of criticism of the government.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of knowing the strategies applied by educators or teachers in developing speaking skills in grade VI students at SDN Ketapangkuning Jombang. This research is a type of qualitative research that uses a narrative inquiry approach. The data sources came from homeroom teachers and grade VI students of SDN Ketapangkuning. Data collection techniques were carried out by in-depth interviews with grade VI homeroom teachers and observations of students. The data analysis technique uses an interactive analysis model and the results are presented in descriptive form. The data validity test uses internal validity, namely rechecking data to the same source with different techniques. The results of the study suggest that the teacher's strategy in improving students' speaking skills includes discussions, interviews, role playing and outdoor learning activities. The obstacles encountered during the implementation of the strategy generally come from the students themselves such as lack of confidence or low cognitive abilities. The presence of this research is expected to be useful as a review material for educators in their efforts to develop students' speaking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the concrete implementation of cybernetic theory and determine its effectiveness on students' understanding of procedural text learning material in class XI Karya High School. The problem that arises, namely students have difficulty when understanding the ways or stages of making product results presented in the form of writing or text when giving practical assignments on procedure text learning material. This research is a qualitative research with a case study approach. Data collection techniques were in-depth interviews, and direct participant observation. The main source of data came from informants teaching Indonesian language subjects in class XI of SMAS Karya. The research instrument was in the form of questions. The interactive model analysis technique was carried out after collecting research data, namely the researcher reduced the data, presented the data in narrative form, and drew conclusions. After data analysis, data validity was carried out through checking the validity of the data again by ensuring that the data presented was accurate according to the data in the field. The results showed that cybernetic theory was implemented in procedure text material in class XI of Karya Senior High School, namely educators made procedure videos, then showed and presented during learning. Effective understanding has been obtained by students which can be known from the questions raised by educators and observed from the success of making practice videos and presenting product results. Therefore, the learning material of procedure text not only includes how to compile instructions, but also how learners can effectively communicate and collaborate in a digital environment.

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study was to improve literary analysis activities and skills using a project-based learning model in the Indonesian Literature study program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Jambi University. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which was carried out in two cycles in the Oral Literature Study course. In the first cycle, two meetings were held and the second cycle was held three meetings. Each cycle is carried out in the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The data were analyzed in accordance with the predetermined assessment rubric. In the first cycle, the students' activity scores increased, 80% of which reached the good category score and 20% reached the very good category score compared to the activity scores obtained in the pre-cycle. As for the value of the results of literary analysis in cycle I, it has not yet reached the target, namely not exceeding 50% of students getting good and very good category scores. In cycle II, the value of activity and the results of literary analysis experienced a significant increase, namely 100% of students getting very good category scores for activity scores and 80% of students getting good scores and 20% getting very good scores for the results of literary analysis. Based on these values, it can be said that the application of the Project Based Learning learning model in the Oral Literature Study course to improve activities and oral literature analysis skills is appropriate and effective to be applied. Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh penggunaan photo story dalam pembelajaran menulis teks prosedur kelas VII MTs Negeri 4 Batang Hari.Penelitian ini mengevaluasi pengaruh penggunaan media photo story dalam pembelajaran menulis teks prosedur di kelas eksperimen dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata siswa pada kelas eksperimen (82,67) secara signifikan lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol (72,67). Uji t berpasangan menunjukkan perbedaan yang sangat signifikan antara nilai pretest dan posttest pada kedua kelas dengan nilai signifikansi (sig) kurang dari 0,05. menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media photo story memiliki dampak positif yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan keterampilan menulis teks prosedur siswa. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menggarisbawahi efektivitas media photo story sebagai alat bantu pembelajaran yang dapat memotivasi siswa dan meningkatkan pemahaman mereka dalam menulis teks prosedur
