Abstract

Tarikolot Tourism Village is one form of community empowerment that is quite good in the city of Bogor. The use of sleeping land in these locations by community residents, especially the Tarikolot United Youth Association and Ciluar Tourism Conscious Group (Pokdarwis), into productive activities such as fisheries and livestock, can be a pilot for other regions. However, the results obtained are still less than optimal because no touch of technological innovation can optimize the potential. The purpose of this activity is to provide technical innovations in the field of fisheries and livestock for the development of Tarikolot tourism village, including tilapia and catfish cultivation systems in bioflocs and aquaponics, automatic feeder machines, water pumps, versatile enumeration machines, solar power plants, solar public street lighting (PJU-TS), and planting Family Medicine Plants (TOGA) and fruits on site. The technological innovations were designed jointly between the proposing team from Pakuan University with both partners to be installed at the location. The method used is a Forum Group Discussion and workshop with a Community Development approach. The impacts resulting from this activity are (1) Partners can increase food availability in urban land. (2) The provision of capital assistance for the buyer of fish seedlings is expected by partners also to be able to supply food for the area and increase partners' income. and (3) With training, partners are expected to increase knowledge about fish and vegetable cultivation systems through aquaponics technology and bioflocs ponds, running the technology system well without any constraints in the field

Abstract

Mentoring and tutoring are fundamental needs for students, which should be able to run on an ongoing basis. Especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, mentoring and tutoring as a solution to strengthen understanding of school concepts and subjects for students in Islamic boarding schools. When students feel that there are difficulties in understanding school lessons due to the less than optimal online learning process and limited access to electronic media, mentoring, and tutoring are solutions that are able to bridge students in mastering school lessons, completing assignments, and question exercises. This service took place based on the results of observations and interviews related to the needs and anxieties of students regarding the learning process during the COVID-19 pandemic. Mentoring and tutoring are carried out using interactive discussion methods with students, as well as understanding the concept of subjects by completing non-religious subject matter exercises. Based on the results of the research obtained, mentoring and tutoring for students can help the students' learning process and their understanding of school lessons become better, as well as mentoring and study guidance being able to build motivation and enthusiasm for student learning to be better. Mentoring and tutoring are also able to formulate learning models to be more fun and happy because they can develop the concept of "learning and collaborating", by creating "learning communities and learning spaces", so that during the mentoring and guidance process, students become more enthusiastic in learning.

Abstract

Various strategies that have been used in teaching mental retardation include promoting an emotional approach, thoroughness and strengthening of children's abilities. But in reality, educating mentally retarded children is not easy to accept in teaching. They prefer to play alone and find it difficult to respond to every event and experience what they get. For that we need a strategy in educating so that the teaching and learning system becomes optimal. The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of mentally retarded children to understand PAI subjects. This study uses a qualitative approach, which is a research procedure that produces descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from people or observed behavior from people (subjects themselves). To obtain data that is as expected, this research uses two methods of data collection, namely interviews and observations. The study has a strategy that needs to be done by teachers, in educating mentally retarded children in PAI subjects, is to use individual learning. This individual learning is considered effective and efficient, considering that mentally retarded students have below average intelligence, as well as their lack of ability in socializing and communicating.

Abstract

The dissemination activity of exploring damen (rice straw) waste as liquid organic fertilizer is a form of Tridharma of higher education for community service practiced by four lecturers. This activity has several main goals: increasing public awareness, particularly among residents of RT 20 Sadar Sriwijaya Village, Bandar Sribhawono District, about the importance of utilizing damen waste to be used as liquid organic fertilizer, rather than being thrown away or simply burned after the harvesting process is complete. Socialization activities are carried out in two ways: material delivery and practice daily. Based on the socialization, it was discovered that the participants achieved the socialization's objectives with good criteria in general. As a result, the public knowledge, particularly among residents of RT 20 Sadar Sriwijaya Village, Bandar Sribhawono District, East Lampung Regency, on the use of damen waste and chicken eggshell waste is still low, so socialization is required to raise awareness of the use of agricultural waste as fertilizer
