Abstract

Literacy problems regarding the use of productive waqf assets are still minimal at the waqf manager level in Paya Bujok Teungoh village, West Langsa District, Langsa City. Community waqf literacy is still low where people only know waqf is limited to its use for houses of worship, education and burial places. Professionalism of nazhir (waqf asset manager) where most waqf managers are still individual nazhirs or institutions that are extensions of the amil zakat institution. The competency of nazhir, the majority of whom come from amil zakat institutions, must be improved, especially regarding the skills needed in managing waqf assets, such as entrepreneurship or investment managers (asset management), so that professionalism can be formed among nazhir (waqf asset managers). Nazir also needs to look at opportunities that can improve the economic prosperity of local communities in the Waqf Ecosystem. Village policies regarding waqf, for example provisions if there are individuals or community groups who want to donate their assets, can also do so by giving (transfer) by way of gift, sale and purchase and inheritance. The dedication carried out aims to solve literacy problems regarding the use of productive waqf assets that are still minimal at the Nazhir level in Paya Bujok Teungoh Village, West Langsa District, Langsa City. The methodology used in this service is carried out with an Asset Based for Community Development (ABCD) approach where this method is very relevant to the problems faced, namely related to nazhir literacy in terms of waqf asset management in Paya Bujok Teungoh Village, Langsa City. This ABC method is an effort to increase community assets, in this case waqf assets that are already owned through increasing productive waqf literacy. After carrying out service to nazhir and waqf asset managers, PKM participants understand the concept of waqf as the sacrifice of property or assets for social purposes and public good and waqf is not just a donation, but a permanent transfer of asset ownership for a specific purpose. Participants also understand that knowledge about the types of waqf is adequate, including various types of waqf, such as productive waqf, agricultural productive waqf, educational productive waqf, and so on. This is important so that participants can choose the type of endowment that suits their goals and vision. PKM participants already have knowledge about waqf management, managing waqf assets well. This includes an understanding of the investment, care, and use of waqf proceeds to achieve desired social and economic goals.

Abstract

Behind the fertility of salak plantations in Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta, there are several problems, including 1) fluctuations in the price of salak fruit; 2) the threat of the Mount Merapi eruption; 3) post-eruption economic recovery; and 4) a lack of innovation to optimize the potential of salak plantations. Kembangarum village is one of the areas in Sleman Regency that needs guidance in optimizing the potential of salak fruit on the slopes of Mount Merapi. The program was designed to empower the community by training residents to process salak fruit, peels, and seeds into various products. The method was through field coordination, preparation of tools and materials, program outreach, training, and mentoring, and ended with program evaluation. The program was implemented for five months and has achieved some progress. First, a learning house for residents to produce processed salak has been formed. Second, the creation of residents skilled in processing fruit, peels, and seeds of salak into various processed products with higher selling value with an increase in sales turnover of around 24%. Third, creating pilots for the residents' home industry, along with an offline and online marketing guide, can improve the economic standard of the residents.

Abstract

Fried onions made from shallots are an important type of horticultural crop and are very often used by the public. The process of making fried onions is carried out in several stages until it becomes fried onions that are ready to be consumed, starting from peeling the onion skin, slicing, frying, draining and packing. From the results of a survey conducted on partners, the process of slicing onions is still done manually using a slicing tool made of wood. Mrs. Yuliana, who currently produces fried onions, reaches 10 kg/day for Monday - Thursday, and Friday - Sunday 15-20 kg/day, and for religious holidays usually the capacity produced can reach 60 kg/day, with a total on average 500 kg per month, you have to replace the slicer every 4 months. The tool currently used to slice onions has a capacity of 10 kg/hour, so it requires more energy and time for the slicing process. In order to increase the production of shallots and produce slices as is done today, a shallot slicing machine was developed with a slicing system similar to the tool used. Partners receive appropriate technology in the form of shallot slicing machines and training on the process of using the machine and maintaining the machine. Apart from that, a monitoring and evaluation process is also carried out to measure the level of success and obstacles to the machines used by partners. After developing a red onion slicing machine, partner production productivity increased, the machine can function well and is capable of peeling 2.5 kg of red onion skin in 4 minutes in one process or 37.5 kg/hour.

Abstract

One of the superior programs for agriculture, plantations and food crops through the 3S slogan, namely Sahang (pepper), cows and rice fields, which has been established by the Bangka Belitung Islands Provincial Government, and cows are a source of animal protein that people consume every day. The need for beef will increase at certain moments, for example the celebration of Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha or other major holidays. Another superior plantation product that is the focus of plantation farmers in Bangka Belitung is oil palm. From these two agricultural commodities, integration of cattle farming and oil palm plantations can be developed with the aim of getting benefits in the form of cross-utilization of waste from oil palm plantations as additional green feed and manure waste. from cattle farms as organic fertilizer, with the hope of efficiency and mutual benefit. However, there are separate problems for small-scale livestock groups in implementing this program, because to utilize agricultural waste in the form of palm fronds requires a chopping process so that it can be used as a replacement feed source for green food, if done manually it will certainly not be able to meet needs. this feed, and this is an obstacle faced by the Towards Prosperity Farmers Group partners on Jalan Belinyu Silip, Riau Silip sub-district, Bangka Regency. From the problems mentioned above, it can be concluded that appropriate technology is needed to help the process of chopping oil palm fronds into cattle feed products, making it easier to provide cattle feed every day, and it is hoped that this solution can increase the number and income of cattle breeders.

Abstract

The use of plastic materials is commonly encountered in everyday life, ranging from food and beverage packaging to containers for various tools and materials. Plastic is chosen because it is easy and practical to use. However, excessive plastic use can lead to the accumulation of plastic waste, resulting in environmental pollution. Given the lack of understanding and concern among the public regarding ecological preservation and support of sustainable development goals (SDGs), efforts are needed to increase environmental awareness and concern through accompanying activities in the sustainable management of plastic bottle waste. The objective of this community service activity (PkM) is to provide support in the management of plastic bottle waste to support SDGs in the Tlogosari Wetan Sub-district, Pedurungan District, Semarang City. The partners involved are members of the community and the officials of the Tlogosari Wetan Sub-district. The implementation method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR), which involves partners managing plastic bottle waste from sorting to disposal. Partners were given education through lectures and question-and-answer sessions, as well as demonstrations in plastic bottle waste management. This mentoring activity resulted in a 70% increase in public understanding and awareness, supported by 80% of the community expressing commitment to sorting plastic bottle waste as a form of sustainable waste management. The community service activity concluded with the handover of plastic bottle waste containers to the community.

Abstract

Kersik Village is located in Marangkayu District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan. Kersik village is called a tourist village because it has a famous tourist destination, namely Blue Kersik Beach. Biru Kersik Beach has the opportunity to utilize the mangrove ecosystem which has not been utilized productively by the surrounding community. Most of the people of Kersik Village do not understand the role provided by the mangrove ecosystem. Therefore, an empowerment effort is needed to increase community understanding by carrying out mangrove planting activities. The method used in this activity includes a survey stage, where this step aims to confirm the location of mangrove planting by identifying which areas need the most planting. As additional information, an interview process was also carried out at one of the organizations in Kersik Village, namely Sahabat Mangrove. The results to be achieved from this community service are (1) to instill an understanding in the younger generation as agents of future change regarding the role of mangroves so as to create a commitment to protecting and preserving the environment, especially the mangrove ecosystem as a potential owned by the region, namely the coastal tourist attraction of Biru Kersik Beach. , (2) the output target to be achieved from this service activity is the addition of mangrove vegetation as an effort to preserve the coastal ecosystem in Kersik Village, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. It is hoped that the community around the coastal tourism area of ??Biru Kersik Beach can be further programmed to carry out outreach regarding the ecological function of mangrove forests.
