Dulang adalah jurnal pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang ditertbitkan dan dikelola oleh Pusat Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat Politeknik Manufaktur Negeri Bangka Belitung. Jurnal ini bertujuan untuk menginformasikan hasil-hasil pengabdian dari seluruh civitas akademika tentang beragam inovasi dan solusi-solusi dalam berbagai persoalan dalam masyarakat maupun industri. Jurnal ini diterbitkan dalam 2 edisi setiap tahunnya, yaitu pada bulan Maret dan September. Ruang lingkup dari jurnal ini meliputi: 1. Penerapan Teknologi Tepat Guna pada masyarakat; 2. Pelatihan untuk pemberdayaan masyarakat; 3. Produk hasil penelitian yang diterapkan pada UMKM maupun sekolah; 4. Penerapan hasil pengembangan teknologi untuk pembangunan berkelanjutan; 5. Penerapan program pelatihan kerja pada Industri.

Abstract

The development of information technology has had a significant effect on various aspects of life, especially in education. Information technology is a technology applied to organise, store, and convert data into useful information through various methods. One of the technologies that helps obtain information is artificial intelligence (AI). AI is a technology that makes it possible to perform tasks that humans could only do in the past, such as human-machine communication, often called chatbots. One of the most advanced chatbots is Google Gemini. In education, Google Gemini can help students find answers to their questions and support independent learning. SMP Negeri 1 Kandangserang is a school in a mountainous area with poor road conditions. These road conditions cause many students to choose to study independently at home when the rainy season arrives. For this reason, community service was carried out by holding a Google Gemini workshop to help improve students' knowledge at SMP Negeri 1 Kandangserang when studying independently at home. 30 participants attended the workshop, and the presentation methods and hands-on practice were used at www.gemini.google.com. Pre-Test and Post-Test were conducted to measure participants' abilities before and after the workshop. The result of this activity is the increased ability of participants to use Google Gemini as a learning tool. This can be seen from the results of the Pre-Test and Post-Test questionnaires, which show an average increase of 21.67 participants or 72.22% of participants who previously stated that they could not use Google Gemini to do a command to be able to use it. Suggestions for participants are expected to continue exploring the capabilities of Google Gemini to help their learning process.

Abstract

The fact that gadgets are no longer luxury items and every student certainly has them presents an opportunity for teachers to create meaningful learning. One way to do this is by conducting learning assisted by PhET Simulations. These simulations offer various concepts in mathematics, physics, biology, and chemistry to be taught in the form of simulations. The use of these simulations allows the role of the teacher as a learning facilitator to be effectively carried out theoretically. However, the use of simulations has not been carried out to assist teachers in teaching material. Strengthening needs to be done. The strengthening is carried out at SMP N 1 Pemali through providing focused reinforcement for Mathematics and Natural Sciences (IPA) teachers. The reinforcement implementation is equivalent to a 6-hour training with activities starting and ending with tests to see if there is any improvement in understanding related to the reinforcement provided. Information was obtained indicating a good improvement in understanding related to the use of PhET as a learning medium for teachers is 37,5 %. In addition, the reinforcement provided received a positive response. Reinforcement practice in using PhET simulations has a good impact on MIPA SMP’s teachers as facilitators in learning.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to empower the karang taruna of Kemuja village through digital marketing training for agricultural products using Canva. Kemuja village still faces challenges in effectively developing their agribusiness. To address this issue, we conducted a training program focused on enhancing digital graphic design skills and marketing strategies using Canva. The training was held at the Kemuja village office, involving 11 Karang Taruna members as primary participants. The program included theoretical sessions on the basics of digital marketing and hands-on practice using Canva to create promotional materials such as posters, brochures, social media content, and more. The training methods included lectures, group discussions, and practical exercises, with the goal of enabling participants to optimally use Canva to expand their product promotions in the digital market. The evaluation of the training activity was conducted using a Likert scale-based instrument with 20 items, where the scale values are: 1. Strongly Disagree; 2. Disagree; 3. Neutral; 4. Agree; 5. Strongly Agree. The average score of participant satisfaction was 4.58 out of 5, indicating that the participants found the training very beneficial and relevant for their agribusiness development. In conclusion, the empowerment of the karang taruna of Kemuja village through Canva training has proven effective in enhancing their digital skills and marketing capacity, ultimately supporting the development of digital-based agribusiness in the village.

Abstract

The potential of natural resources in Lerek Neighborhood, Gombengsari Village, Kalipuro District, Banyuwangi Regency has increased from 2020-2023. However, the potential experienced obstacles related to PSDA branding caused by Pokdarwis lack of knowledge with technological advances. Although branding has been carried out by the Government and Pokdarwis, community income is still low at 18.1%. So, one of the efforts needed by partners to increase income by branding Kampung Bunga destinations using the implementation of identification system technology. The implementation of the identification system is used to facilitate the Flower Group in classifying various types of flowers in Gombengsari Village, Banyuwangi Regency. The purpose of this activity is as a medium for promoting local and national Flower Village tourism. The identification system uses the Convolutional Neural Network method for the classification of six types of flowers in Kiosk Intan. The identification results show that six types of flowers have different levels of accuracy (rose 100%, orchid 90%, jasmine 85%, frangipani 90%, chrysanthemum 90% and sedap malam 90%) with a traning time of 0.169 seconds and a test of 0.171 seconds. While the evaluation results from the Flower Group user partners related to the application of the identification system help in the classification of flower types with an accuracy level of ± 85-90%.

Abstract

The increase in composition production in Desa Badean, Kecamatan Blimbingsari, is a strategic approach to effectively manage environmental degradation and waste disposal. One of the most important aspects of producing compositions is the processing of organic matter, which requires a significant amount of time and effort. The purpose of this Community Service Program is to increase the productivity and efficiency of composition production by using an organic solvent extraction method. This machine is designed to speed up the organic matter degradation process so that raw materials for composites can be produced more quickly and accurately. The results of implementing the shredding machine are thought to show a significant increase in the volume of compost produced. In addition, the produced composition quality is also higher due to more homogeneous particle size. It is hoped that through the advancement of technology, the composition industry in Desa Badean would continue to grow and benefit the local economy and environment. The compost production capacity of the Community Self-Help Group (KSM) in Badean Village, Blimbingsari Sub-district, Banyuwangi Regency is not balanced with the daily increase in waste. KSM is only able to process organic waste with a machine capacity of ±50 kg per day. Thus, the design of an organic waste shredding machine is applied to increase production capacity. The machine design is proposed based on compost production needs with specifications of frame (91 cm long, 46.5 cm wide, 67 cm high), drum (36 cm diameter, 51 cm long), shaft (1 inch diameter, 75 cm long), and hopper (30 cm long, 30 cm wide, 28 cm high). The results of the application of the shredder can increase the compost production capacity for KSM partners by ± 85-100 kg per day.

Abstract

3D Printing training has been implemented as part of efforts to develop technical competence in vocational education, especially for students of the Light Vehicle Department at SMK Dhuafa Padang. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of 3D Printing training in improving students' skills in the application of additive manufacturing technology in the automotive sector. The training methods applied include the delivery of theoretical materials, technical demonstrations, and exercises. Evaluation of the effectiveness of the training was conducted through comparative analysis of pre-test and post-test results, which aims to measure the improvement of participants' competence before and after attending the training. The results of data analysis showed a significant increase in students' mastery of concepts and technical skills, especially in the use of 3D printing technology for component manufacturing. This training is expected to be a relevant and adaptive learning model, in order to prepare SMK graduates to face the dynamics of the automotive industry which is increasingly based on technology and innovation

Abstract

Strengthening digital skills among teachers in STEM-based learning is an urgent need in the digital age, especially in Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) environments, which often lag in technology adoption. Although constructivist learning theory emphasizes the importance of integrating technology into education, the reality shows that many teachers still struggle to implement this approach effectively. Therefore, this community service program aims to empower MTs teachers through intensive training and ongoing mentoring in the use of block-based coding applications for STEM education. The program employs a social engineering approach involving needs surveys, training, implementation workshops, and performance evaluation. The results indicate significant improvements in teachers’ skills and knowledge, with 85% of teachers showing enhanced abilities in designing STEM lessons, 89% in knowledge of block-based coding applications, and 83% in skills to create projects using these applications. In conclusion, the training successfully bridges the gap between theory and practice, though challenges such as infrastructure limitations and varying levels of initial understanding remain barriers that need to be addressed through sustained support and further development.

Abstract

In improving the quality of education that leads to vocational programs, the Bangkabelitung Manufacturing Polytechnic is one of the institutions with almost 80% of study programs in the vocational direction. Where in general vocational programs lead to values ??that are guided by the skills they rely on. With an educational background, all lecturers at the Bangkabelitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic have vocational-based education. The increase in study programs in the electronics department will certainly add color to the scientific aspect specifically regarding Information Technology, especially on the Internet of Things (IoT), with the existence of community service programs which is one of the tri dharma of higher education, as well as efforts to increase the competence of teachers and students, especially in vocational schools or schools that are oriented towards vocational programs. Therefore we provide training to teachers and students on understanding technology 4.0 which includes an understanding of IoT. By using simulation tools in the form of sensors, microcontrollers, WiFi devices, and output using DC/AC motors as loads. It is hoped that 90% of teachers and students understand technology 4.0 based on the Internet of Things.

Abstract

Penyusuk Beach is one of the panoramic beach tourism destinations on Bangka Island. The beauty of the beach panorama that is highlighted by Penusuk Beach has not been able to attract tourists optimally. This is because the attraction of tourists is lacking for the tour packages offered, the development plan that promotes ecotourism has not been realized, and product marketing has not been effective. The Polman Babel Community Service (PkM) Team carries the theme of strengthening digital marketing-based ecotourism for Penyusuk Beach through the development of a tourism website that will be used by HKm Penyusuk Permai in optimizing the Penyusuk Beach tourist destination. This PkM activity began with an initial discussion stage with partners to explore partner problems and continued with the PkM team discussion stage with students regarding website development, website development, PkM Team discussion with partners (website revision), training on the use and management of the website, to the stage of handover of the website from the PkM team to the partner. Before the training activity, the HKm Penyusuk Permai management was given questions regarding competence in the use and management of the website, as well as a posttest after the training activity was given. Based on the results of the pretest and posttest given, information was obtained that there was an increase in competence in terms of website use and management by HKm administrators by 67%. Through all stages of this PkM activity, it is hoped that HKm administrators can maximize the promotion of Penyusuk Beach tourism in an effort to strengthen ecotourism through the use of websites at Penyusuk Beach.

Abstract

Animal feed is an important factor that must be considered to increase the productivity of providing green fodder both in quality and quantity, where in the provision of cattle feed is still done manually using hands with the help of machetes and sickles to chop the feed, especially for cattle breeders of the Puding Jaya II Farmer Group in Puding Village, Merawang District, Bangka Regency. The purpose of this study is to assist in the processing of livestock feed conventionally or manually by designing a chopping machine so that it can make its own cemboran and chopped feed using available materials such as special grass leaves for cattle feed or oil palm leaves so that they are easy for cattle to chew. The method used starts from designing a chopping machine that can be used as a chopping tool for raw materials for livestock feed in the form of odot plants, Indigofera, Chinese petai, jackfruit leaves, elephant grass, palm fronds and leaves which are favorite green fodder for cattle so that it is expected to lighten the burden and make it easier for cattle breeders to get livestock feed that is ready to be eaten by cattle. in an effort to increase livestock feed production can increase as expected to reach 200-300 percent.
