Abstract

Issues related to water quality and adequate sanitation remain crucial, including in vulnerable areas such as Tangerang City. Cipondoh District faces challenges such as low water quality and community behavior that does not yet fully reflect environmental awareness. Eco-enzyme, a liquid produced from the fermentation of organic waste, water, and molasses, has been scientifically proven to reduce water pollutants, making it a cheap, environmentally friendly, and community-applicable alternative solution. This devotion aims to analyze the role of eco-enzyme in improving water quality while examining how its implementation reflects social care values among the Cipondoh community. A descriptive qualitative approach using semi-structured interviews was employed to obtain information from six informants consisting of two eco-enzyme practitioners and four residents around Lake Cipondoh. The implementation of the activites show that public understanding of eco-enzyme remains limited, leading to uneven environmental awareness. However, eco-enzyme practices conducted by environmental communities demonstrate positive impacts on water quality and the potential restoration of aquatic ecosystems. This activities concludes that eco-enzyme serve not only as an ecological agent in improving water quality but also as an educational instrument that strengthens community awareness and social responsibility.

Abstract

The development of social media has become a crucial promotional strategy in the hospitality industry, including for Hotel Bahtera Pelni, located in Cipayung, Bogor. This study aims to analyze how the utilization of social media can be optimized as a promotional tool to enhance the hotel’s attractiveness, image, and marketing performance. The method applied in this research is qualitative descriptive, involving observations, interviews, and analysis of social media data. The results indicate that each platform has distinct audience characteristics and issues; for instance, Facebook requires particular attention to room cleanliness and facilities, Instagram highlights the efficiency of the check-in process, YouTube demands transparency regarding hotel amenities, while TikTok emphasizes the quality of service interactions. Optimizing social media, when combined with improvements in service quality, facilities, and prompt responses to customer complaints, has been shown to enhance the hotel’s image, customer satisfaction, and loyalty, while also supporting the achievement of revenue targets. This study underscores that digital promotion strategies should be integrated with professional operational management and human resources. These findings serve as a reference for developing measurable digital marketing strategies in the hospitality sector, ensuring that social media promotion is more effective and contributes to sustainable business performance improvement.

Abstract

Training is a strategic instrument in Human Resource Management (HRM) aimed at enhancing individual competencies, skills, and productivity in accordance with organizational needs. This study aims to analyze the implementation of training in the HR Management Division at PT Vinix Seven Aurum, Yogyakarta, based on indicators of participants, training objectives, training materials, and instructors. The study employed a qualitative descriptive method, collecting data through observation, interviews, pre-surveys, and documentation during the Field Work Lecture (Kuliah Kerja Lapangan/KKL) program. The results indicate several challenges in the training process, including low participant enthusiasm (64%), unclear training objectives (60%), training materials that are not fully comprehensible and relevant (42%), and uneven instructor competence and readiness (39%). Nevertheless, the company has implemented improvement efforts, such as developing structured training modules, enhancing participant engagement through discussions and assignments, and providing coordination and preparation for mentors. This study confirms that online training can significantly contribute to HR development if it is systematically designed, considers participant characteristics, and is supported by competent instructors. The findings are expected to serve as a basis for improving and developing the quality of digital training programs in the company.

Abstract

This community service program was conducted in Ngegedhawe Village, Nagekeo Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, aiming to document and disseminate local history and cultural values that have traditionally been transmitted orally. Undocumented oral traditions face the risk of extinction due to decreasing engagement of young generations in traditional spaces, increasing social mobility, and the dominance of global digital culture. These conditions have led to a declining understanding among village youth regarding clan origins, social structures, and customary values. This program employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach by actively involving traditional leaders and village youth throughout data collection, documentary film production, and dissemination processes. Methods included participatory observation, in-depth interviews, audio-visual documentation, and evaluation through pre-test and post-test of cultural understanding. The results indicate that documentary film functions effectively as a digital heritage medium, enhancing cultural literacy and strengthening local identity among younger generations. Beyond serving as a visual archive, the documentary also acts as an educational tool and fosters social cohesion within the community. Therefore, this program contributes significantly to sustainable local cultural preservation through participatory and adaptive audio-visual media.

Abstract

One concrete step taken to support SDGs 4 is the promotion of inclusive schools starting from the early childhood education (PAUD) level. However, the practice of inclusive education faces quite a number of challenges, one of which is related to sensory issues in early childhood. Teachers, as one of the important figures, play a major role in optimizing children's sensory processes through classroom activities. The community service program aims to improve teacher competency in identifying and stimulating sensory processing in early childhood. The community service activity with the main theme "Strengthening the Competence of Early Childhood Education Teachers as Therapists" was attended by 30 PAUD teachers from three inclusive kindergartens in Malang. The activity was conducted in three meetings covering basic material, material reinforcement and planning sensory stimulation, and mentoring sensory stimulation. In general, the community service program was proven effective in improving teacher competency and attitudes related to sensory issues in early childhood (p<0.01). The method that focuses on learners and strengthening skills is a major advantage of this community service. Future community services are expected to consider the sustainability of the program that has been implemented so that it can provide long-term benefits.

Abstract

Mental health is a crucial issue that needs attention among adolescents. Adolescents low level of mental health knowledge can impact their ability to recognize their current psychological conditions and how to obtain appropriate psychological assistance. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase the knowledge of Junior High School students regarding mental health through interactive educational workshops. The main focus of this community service activity is to increase mental health knowledge related to the characteristics of mental health, how to maintain mental health and overcome problems, and recognize myths and facts about mental health. The implementation method used a one-group pre-test and post-test design to evaluate the impact of education. The activity subjects were 30 junior high school students. The evaluation instrument was a mental health knowledge questionnaire administered before (pre-test) and after (post-test) the educational activity. The pre-test results showed that most participants had a limited level of mental health knowledge. After receiving mental health education, the post-test results showed an increase in knowledge scores in most participants. The research data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The analysis results showed a significant difference between knowledge scores before and after the educational activity (p < 0.05), indicating that mental health education was effective in improving the knowledge of junior high school students. This community service activity is expected to be a promotive and preventive effort in improving adolescent mental health literacy in the school environment.

Abstract

The development of meaningful mathematics teaching materials remains a significant challenge in elementary schools, particularly in teachers’ ability to organize concepts systematically and contextually. One relevant strategy to support meaningful learning is the use of concept maps as cognitive tools. This community service program aimed to enhance elementary school teachers’ understanding and competence in Barru Regency in developing meaningful mathematics teaching materials based on concept maps through a structured workshop. The activity involved 30 teachers and was conducted through several stages: pretest, material presentation, discussion, hands-on practice in designing concept maps and teaching materials, posttest, and product evaluation. Data were collected using a comprehension test and a product assessment rubric, then analyzed using descriptive statistics, paired-sample t-test, and N-gain analysis. The results indicated a significant improvement in teachers’ understanding, with the mean score increasing from 62.4 on the pretest to 82.5 on the posttest. The paired t-test showed a significant difference (t = 11.27; p < 0.05), while the N-gain analysis revealed that 60% of teachers achieved high improvement and 40% moderate improvement. Product evaluation yielded an average score of 3.55 out of 4 (very good category), particularly in the structure of concept maps, interconnections among concepts, and alignment with elementary students’ characteristics. These findings suggest that concept map-based workshops are effective in improving teachers’ conceptual understanding and the quality of meaningful mathematics teaching materials, with potential as a sustainable professional development model.

Abstract

Futsal extracurricular activities in secondary schools generally focus on mastering basic techniques, while understanding game strategy has not received optimal attention. This condition has an impact on students' limited ability to read game situations and make appropriate decisions. This Community Service activity aims to improve the understanding of futsal game strategy through video-based analysis training for students of MAN 4 Bone. The implementation method uses a participatory training and mentoring approach that includes the presentation of futsal strategy concepts, match video analysis, group discussions, and simulations of strategy implementation on the field. The activity participated in 30 students who are members of the futsal extracurricular. The results of the activity showed an increase in students' understanding of aspects of game formations, offensive and defensive transitions, and game decision-making. In addition, the level of student participation during the activity was high and the quality of the game became more structured. This activity proves that video media is effective as a learning tool for futsal strategy and has the potential to be developed as an innovative and sustainable model for school futsal development.

Abstract

Self-development–based workshops are considered an effective strategy to enhance teachers’ motivation and performance at the elementary school level. This community service program aimed to improve both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation of teachers and to strengthen their professional commitment in implementing quality learning practices in Barru Regency. The identified problems included low work motivation, limited professional self-reflection, and suboptimal teacher performance in lesson planning and instructional implementation. The program employed a participatory approach consisting of needs assessment, material presentation, self-reflection sessions, group discussions, simulations, and evaluation. A total of 35 elementary school teachers from several schools in Barru Regency participated in the workshop. The results indicated an increase in teachers’ understanding of continuous self-development, improved work motivation, and positive changes in attitudes toward enhancing instructional quality. Evaluation through questionnaires and observations showed an improvement in motivation scores and teacher performance indicators after the workshop. The program contributed positively to strengthening professional awareness and fostering a more productive work culture within schools. In conclusion, self-development–based workshops are effective in improving the motivation and performance of elementary school teachers in Barru Regency. It is recommended that such programs be implemented continuously as part of local teacher professional development strategies.

Abstract

Youth radicalization in the digital era reflects a significant shift in recruitment, indoctrination, and mobilization patterns that are increasingly intense through social media, online forums, and various content-sharing platforms. Digital space no longer functions solely as a means of communication but has evolved into an arena for identity formation, meaning production, and the dissemination of transnational ideologies that often exploit adolescents' psychosocial vulnerabilities. This article aims to examine a social work intervention model in the digital realm as a preventive strategy against youth radicalization, emphasizing a strengths-based approach, strengthening critical digital literacy, and building community resilience. The research uses a qualitative-descriptive approach through a systematic literature review of recent publications related to online radicalization, cyber social work practices, and community-based extremism prevention. The review indicates that social work interventions in the digital space need to be designed comprehensively and multidimensionally, encompassing early detection of extremist narratives, online psychosocial support, the development of counter-narratives based on humanitarian values, and cross-sector collaboration between social workers, educators, families, and technology platforms. Furthermore, the role of social workers as digital practitioners is crucial in creating safe, dialogical, and inclusive virtual spaces. This study emphasizes that the transformation of social work practice into the digital realm is not merely a technical adaptation, but rather a reorientation of intervention paradigms that are responsive to the dynamics of cyberculture. Therefore, preventing youth radicalization requires the integration of professional competencies, digital ethics, and participatory empowerment strategies within the online ecosystem.
