Abstract

The earthquake that occurred in the Cianjur area, West Java on Monday 21 November 2022 at 13.21 WIB resulted in 635 fatalities and 56,000 houses that were damaged. The results of the assessment found that many houses and public facility buildings still did not meet the requirements for earthquake-resistant buildings, especially in the use of concrete materials, main reinforcement, stirrups in columns, beams, foundations and beam-column joint, and did not have a strong column-weak beam planning concept. This can be seen from the inability of the column to withstand/ carry the working load which causes the column to collapse and damage. Therefore, it is very necessary to pay attention to building planning in Disaster Prone Areas (DPA) in accordance with earthquake resistant building regulations SNI 1726:2019 and SNI 2847:2019

Abstract

Penatih Tourist Village in East Denpasar, Bali, exemplifies a successful integration of natural beauty, cultural heritage, and community involvement. Featuring scenic rice fields and the traditional Subak Lestari system, the village offers activities such as walking, cycling, and photography. Development efforts include enhancing telajakan areas with ornamental plants, installing direction boards, and reorganizing the jogging track, which improve visitor experience and navigation. The establishment of local SMEs further supports the village's tourism infrastructure. This research employed qualitative and descriptive methods, including field surveys and interviews with local stakeholders, to assess the village’s tourism potential. Post-COVID-19 challenges, such as reduced market hours and neglected maintenance, highlighted the need for revitalization. Enhancing the traditional market and extending its operational hours, along with further developing SMEs, can strengthen the village’s appeal, support local entrepreneurship, and preserve its cultural and environmental assets.

Abstract

This study examines the role of a community-based coffee shop as an entrepreneurial ecosystem that serve as the hub for economic activities among local citizens. Utilizing an action research approach, the community service team engaged directly in the field, facilitating the coffee shop’s collaboration with various stakeholders to foster value creation. The team worked closely with stakeholders to establish an entrepreneurial ecosystem within the coffee shop venue, aiming to actualize co-value creation. In this context, value creation is collaborative among ecosystem participants and is not merely linear; the coffee shop cannot simply offer products and expect customers to visit. The enhancement of community economic well-being is evidenced by increased economic activity around the coffee shop area.
